When you think about racial equality and civil rights, which political party comes to mind? The Republicans? Or, the Democrats?
Most people would probably say the Democrats. But this answer is incorrect.
Since its founding in 1829, the Democratic Party has fought against every major civil rights initiative, and has a long history of discrimination.
The Democratic Party defended slavery, started the Civil War, opposed Reconstruction, founded the Ku Klux Klan, imposed segregation, perpetrated lynchings, and fought against the civil rights acts of the 1950s and 1960s.
In contrast, the Republican Party was founded in 1854 as an anti-slavery party. Its mission was to stop the spread of slavery into the new western territories with the aim of abolishing it entirely. This effort, however, was dealt a major blow by the Supreme Court. In the 1857 case Dred Scott v. Sandford, the court ruled that slaves aren’t citizens; they’re property. The seven justices who voted in favor of slavery? All Democrats. The two justices who dissented? Both Republicans.
The slavery question was, of course, ultimately resolved by a bloody civil war. The commander-in-chief during that war was the first Republican President, Abraham Lincoln - the man who freed the slaves.
Six days after the Confederate army surrendered, John Wilkes Booth, a Democrat, assassinated President Lincoln. Lincoln’s vice president, a Democrat named Andrew Johnson, assumed the presidency. But Johnson adamantly opposed Lincoln’s plan to integrate the newly freed slaves into the South’s economic and social order.
Johnson and the Democratic Party were unified in their opposition to the 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery; the 14th Amendment, which gave blacks citizenship; and the 15th Amendment, which gave blacks the vote. All three passed only because of universal Republican support.
During the era of Reconstruction, federal troops stationed in the south helped secure rights for the newly freed slaves. Hundreds of black men were elected to southern state legislatures as Republicans, and 22 black Republicans served in the US Congress by 1900. The Democrats did not elect a black man to Congress until 1935.
But after Reconstruction ended, when the federal troops went home, Democrats roared back into power in the South. They quickly reestablished white supremacy across the region with measures like black codes - laws that restricted the ability of blacks to own property and run businesses. And they imposed poll taxes and literacy tests, used to subvert the black citizen’s right to vote.
And how was all of this enforced? By terror -- much of it instigated by the Ku Klux Klan, founded by a Democrat, Nathan Bedford Forrest.
As historian Eric Foner - himself a Democrat - notes:
“In effect, the Klan was a military force serving the interests of the Democratic Party.”

It's a crying shame this is not taught in school, instead of introducing eight year olds to the condom.
This was taught in school, I knew about everything mentioned in this video through only a high school level education. Most people don't remember this because the school system is failing us as a society in it's ability to genuinely teach and engage the students.
These days, they introducing bearded drag demons prancing and shoving genitals in the faces of small children and much, much more.
It doesn't matter, the underfunded predominantly black neighbourhoods that vote for democrats have terrible school systems, and on top of that they have minimal job opportunities to remove the drive towards wanting better schooling. And when you have communities with no opportunities to aim for and no school system worth the ground it's built on, you end up with masses of young people with no chance in life right from the off, that's if they're actually born given the fact that abortion is the number 1 killer of black people in America and democrats drive the right for it's legality. And from there what do they do? They incentivise single parent, fatherless households and remove the police presence, driving all those young people into crime. The whole system then feeds into itself because those people never learn the truth, they continue to listen as the democrats call the republicans racist and they continue to vote for the party thats always had its boot on their necks.

Cameron Gross - Listen to her other videos - she is an eye opener even for white people. There is a reason why the democrats today are hiding or denying this truth. There are no minorities in America. "Minorities" is a nomenclature advanced by the democrats to keep "people" separate (blacks, latinos, LGBTQ, women, etc.) They make it seem as if they advance unity when all they are really doing is reinforcing division. They corral these people into separate groups and brand them victims so that they can appear as their saviors. Why? When the democrats appeal to large groups they can ensure that these large groups (as a whole) will charge like giant herds to the voting booths and vote them into office - after which, they do nothing to improve the lives of these people. All they want is to be in power. All they need is your vote. The truth is we are all Americans (not African Americans, not Latinos, not whites, not LGBTQ, etc.) but the dems don't want this - this would mean they would need to work twice as hard to create a viable platform to win elections. It would mean they would have to gain votes the hard way - individual by individual (more difficult) rather than gaining votes easily by brainwashing entire groups of people. That is false for the vast majority. Most conservatives want social improvement for all people, including minorities, immigrants, and the poor. They just have a different opinion from you on what is effective in doing so. The Conservative = Racist thought is probably one of the most cancerous parts of the current political climate.

The Southern strategy was to block everything the Republicans did for Blacks. Then the Republicans gave Blacks the right to vote, so the Democrats invented "literacy tests" and ramped up the KKK to keep Blacks from voting. All of the Southern states were a solid Democratic block until Congress passed the Civil Rights Act (which most Democrats voted against). The Southern Legislature Congress didn’t become Republicans until the 90s and of the 21 Dixiecrats who voted against the Civil Rights 64 bill, only one became a Republican and that was Strom Thurmond (the rest remained Democrats). The so-called Southern Switch dates back to 1956 with re-election of Dwight Eisenhower when he won several southern states he did not previously win (and this is significant because in 54 he sent 101st airborne to enforce school integration between blacks and whites).

Let me explain this education thing: John D. Rockefeller ( the oil guy) was a democrat and the founder of the school board board of education. His agenda is shared with the governmental democrats. I agree and I am a conservative. I think that the Democrats are much more extreme (because of their actions), but the republicans aren’t perfect either. This video is a little extreme and I don’t see it’s point. What is this solving? I am a conservative, but I can also rationally say that this video is kind of pointless and it doesn’t solve any problems. It just brings up unnecessary political controversy. I don’t think it’s controversial but others will and this video isn’t worth the controversy from the libs because this video doesn’t really accomplish anything.
