    Concordo con tutti quelli che ritengono come il Nostro '900 sia da rivalutare. Abbiamo compositori sommi che, al di la di ogni mero apparente esercizio compositivo à la maniere de..., sono grandi comunque!

    Il pittore Renato Guttuso voleva capire Giorgione. Ridipinse il quadro "La tempesta" usando le pennellate guttusiane. Alla fine era "La tempesta" sì, ma letta da Guttuso. Così questa opera di Malipiero. È Vivaldi sì, ma con l'anima di Malipiero.

    Il Novecento italiano è senz'altro da riscoprire e da riascoltare con attenzione maggiore di quanto non si faccia. Questa di Malipiero è una pagina bellissima, col terzo movimento di una eleganza e di un'adesione sentimentale al modello veramente struggenti.

    Alcuni penseranno che sia assurdo oggi scrivere come si faceva 300 anni fa. Io la penso un po' diversamente :alla fine di tutto, l'unica cosa che conta davvero nella musica è dare emozione e siccome le nostre emozioni sono da sempre immutate nel tempo, nel momento in cui un linguaggio musicale crea emozioni esso trascende lo stile che lo contraddistingue per assurgere ad una dimensione di non tempo. Vedi come esempio, perfettamente calzante, L' adagio di Albinoni che fu scritto totalmente da Remo Giazotto nel 1958 e molti altri casi, tipo L' Ave Maria di Caccini ( composta invece da V.Vavilof nel 1970) ecc..

    Was there a higher point in Western music than the Baroque? No wonder that post WWII so many European composers returned to the order, sanity and beauty of this period to create new works. Post-romantic tonality/atonality had burned itself out and serialism had become dry and academic.

      Malipiero Never adopted dodecaphony, serial techniques, electronic and at the same time rejected post-romanticism. He Was a solitary traveller in XXth century music, although he met the main figures of his time: Stravinsky, Ravel, Bliss, Bloch, De Falla...this "Vivaldiana" is a tribute to an ancient Master, which he studied deeply, given that he was responsible of the complete edition of Vivaldian works.
