    I'm surprised the kid didn't cry out in pain when he was bit. The son seeing the snake and the father puting two and two together and looking for and finding the bite mark on his son then running and driving for help was amazing!

    • @calebhodson7421
      @calebhodson7421 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Scott Hayes @ I don't blame you. But rattlesnakes are generally more afraid of us then we are of them. That's why when I hike I try to make as much noise as I can. Usually when people get bitten is when they step on a rattlesnake or startle one. But what makes that hard is they usually hide waiting in ambush for their prey. Sometimes you can't even see them. You just hear them and if they're startled by that point it's generally too late to avoid a snakebite.This story is an exception. The little boy just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The Eastern Diamondback which is what this snake was is one of the most aggressive rattlesnakes in the United States behind the Mojave green.

    recently i was walking to my grandparents house; their front screen door was closed and locked; their other front door was open; as i went to open the screen door my grandpa got up to unlock it; as i was turning the doorknob i heard a rattle and shortly after i looked down by my left foot and i immediately screamed oh god twice; my grandparents asked me whats wrong and screamed that there was a rattlesnake right by the door and right after that i immediately took off back down the steps and went into their house through the backdoor ; immediately called my mom to tell her to walk over with my disabled twin sister while i was having a panic attack ; i also immediately checked myself to see if it had bitten me but i did not get bitten but it gave me one good scare though; Rattlesnakes are something that shouldn't be messed with; If you all ever encounter a rattlesnake just stop and back away slowly; I think that children should watch this episode because it will teach them what they should do if they encounter of these snakes; Im so glad that Jean made a full recovery

      For starters, the trail that they were following was an old railroad right-of-way, which should have remained as railroad company property if it wasn’t for Nixon signing into law a bill allowing railroads to give up the rights to ‘money losing lines’. Plus, Nixon had to sign it into law, otherwise companies like Greyhound, Pan AM, TWA, Delta, Trailways, and such told him that they would take their campaign contributions to George McGovern!

      You have to remember in this episode that's an eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake. A copperhead is less likely to kill you than a rattler. Those diamondbacks not only have a very potent venom, they've got a huge venom yield. Even if it were a copperhead and not an Eastern diamondback, The bite still could have been fatal if he didn't receive medical attention. Eastern diamondback rattlesnakes are no joke. If you're bitten by one, you need to be at the hospital and you need to get there fast
