  • There are multiple ways to get from Yangon to Bagan - bus, train or plane. Considering cost, convenience, and duration, going from Yangon to Bagan by bus is the undeniable winner. Short daily flights within Myanmar are available, but are astronomically priced. Nope. The train is the cheapest option, but takes a hellish 17 hours. No thanks. Several bus companies run overnight between the two regions, costing just over $20 USD per person and last a mild 9 hours. We’ll take it.
    We decided to go from Yangon to Bagan by JJ Express Overnight Coach, a popular VIP "Luxury" Bus operator that features reclining seats, AC, a (strange) complimentary snack box, and a HUGE list of American movies. We’ve come to love our overnight bus rides. :)

    Hi friends! We’re Braden & Taylor, a newlywed couple from California living with a BAD case of the travel bug. In Fall 2018, we quit our jobs, sold our belongings, and packed two tiny suitcases to find out what it truly means to live life to the fullest. First and foremost, we vlog for ourselves - our channel is a living picture book of the memories we collect over the next months and years around the globe, traveling to over 60 countries by 2020. If there’s a place we haven’t been, it’s on our list!
    Secondly, we document our life on the road for family, friends and strangers alike - if our videos help pass on the travel influenza, then we’ve done our job. 😄 We don’t know where this trip will take us, but we promise to ourselves and to you that we will always present both the beautiful and the ugly, because no trip is perfect, and neither is our world. Don’t be shy - send us a shout out when we’re in your area, and be sure to subscribe + hit the bell to be notified of future videos!

    6:06 they are just announcing to the passengers not to disturb others during the trip :) 7:10 because of the security reason, they asked you to leave the bus when it is stopped. There are some cases that some people are pretending to be asleep on the bus and when everybody left, they are stealing from the others bags. That is why, you will find a bit annoying when they asked you to leave the bus, it is not for asking you to buy foods, just purely security reason.

    Hi, what’s the name of the hotel you checked-in in Bagan? It’s very spacious and nice.

      Hey Kristine! It was called Hotel Shwe Poe Eain, located right on the main street in New Bagan. So spacious, really good breakfast (included), and a chilly pool for after you get hot exploring the temples. Highly recommend it. Are you going to Bagan soon?

    May i know if i can book my bus on the counter?

    • @BradenandTaylor
      @BradenandTaylor  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Israel! We booked our bus online at 12go.asia/en, but I think you can also book directly at the ticket counter. It is a very popular route, so it is better to book online early if you are able to in case the bus tickets sell out. Good luck and have fun!

    Hi mates :).. is it safe in Myanmar so far?

    • @BradenandTaylor
      @BradenandTaylor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi, Cindy! Myanmar was very safe-even in the major cities, we never really felt uncomfortable anywhere we went. Just be sure to exercise caution as you normally would while traveling-if you are a solo traveler, you should be fine, but traveling with a friend would be best. :)

      @@BradenandTaylor Thank you for your info! May I ask one more about how the people are? Anyway I wanna go to Bagan but my plan arrived at 7.25 pm and dunno it would be enough to catch the bus or not! Thanks before :)

    • @BradenandTaylor
      @BradenandTaylor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should be able to catch a bus or taxi once you get to the airport and go directly to the bus station-there are multiple busses to Bagan at night so you should be able to make it work! The people were very nice, and most of them speak enough english to get by just fine. :)

      @@cinzenezn589 As a local, I'm here to help you. When you get to the airport, you have 3 options to get to your hotel. Airport Taxi, Grab and Airport bus. Airport taxi is the most expensive one, Grab is fair enough and Airport bus is the most cheapest one which costs you 30 cents (500 kyats) and the service is quite nice. Put 500 kyats (burmese currency only) on the cash box and you can ride the whole way. But you need to check which bus stop is nearest to your hotel and it isn't available 24 hrs (6AM to 11 PM, I suppose). Tell me if you need to know another things like how to get to bagan, mandalay or inlay lake. Hope you would get the best trip exp.
      Sincerely,

      If you wanna go directly to Bagan by the time you arrive, you need to go to Aung Mingalar High way bus stop by Taxi. If you arrive at 7:30 PM, you will get to bus stop around 9 PM and there you can get 9:30 bus, 10 PM bus or 10:30 bus. I think the last one is 11:00 PM bus. But I prefer to book hotel in advance so you won't get lost by the time you get to bagan. JJ Express, Famous and Mindalar Min Express are bus services I would like to prefer.
