    We hope this helps you winterize your hot tub! Remember, if you can get ALL the water out of every pipe, nook, and cranny, there's no need for antifreeze. If you have more questions, be sure to check out our hot tub care video course at www.swimuniversity.com/spa

    If you are going to blow air form a shop vac make sure it is very clean or only used for this. Blowing dirt into the plumbing would not be good on the pump seals

      Or maybe because Putins war makes a kwh cost 90 cent during winter time....

      You ever get out of a hot tub when it’s 0 or below 0? Not fun being a human icicle

    Can't you simply suck out the water from all the jets? The shopvac is strong enough to do that.

    None of these videos say anything about running scum removal product through the system 1st, yet my local spa shop said something about it. Is it not necessary?

      I got my tub with my house and used that scum remover first thing.
      It pulled out a ton of gross gunk from the old owners

    Winter is when you use a hot tub. Run it all the time really.

      At the increasing cost of energy prices especially in Europe you think twice about running your hot tub 0-24 to prevent it from freezing...

    I bought a house that came with a cheap spa. It was summer so I just drained all the water from the shell, switched it off. Not realize I have to drain all water from the pipe and pump, now nothing is working, pump, heater, blower, jets 😭

      Were you able to fix it? I think using anti freeze would have helped you there

    Forget this, I think I'll just get rid of my hot tub.

    Who are these people creating this advice. The blower motor is expecting resistance, in the same way that the water pumps pump resistance, without this the motors will spin so quickly and can destroy the bearings or just blow the motor.

    • @ShawnaShah
      @ShawnaShah 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It's been brow-beaten into me to NEVER turn the hot tub on for any reason if it's drained as you can fill the lines with air...and then you can damage the pump?

  • @robertfaletra2324
    @robertfaletra2324 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Talk about nearly useless. Instead of the cartoon images how about showing an actual hot tub and demonstrating an actual process

    • @ShawnaShah
      @ShawnaShah 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's nearly impossible to find a fully demonstrating example, including the drain plug removal and loosening of the unions, etc. Ugh.
