I am planning to go Sikkim with my family including 2 kids. Is it advisable to take self driving car from bagdogra airport..if yes how to get a permit in sikkim for the zoom car...kindly clarify 🙂🙂
For rented cars you can get permit from the car dealer also. Or they can guide you better. It is advisable to hire a driver from gangtok for north sikkim tour because sometimes BSF doesnt allow other people to drive apart from local people.

Its literally depends upon the driver 😅 sometimes car get stuck some 50 or 100 meters back. And you have to walk. Or else car goes near the lake itself.

Yes you can. There is just a waterfall near mangan you ca visit that and local villages are there. There is nothing more

Koi restrictions nei rehta hai. Bass day wise restriction rehta hai. Like if you are taking for 3 days then you have to return within 3 days

Yes it is possible but not alto or same segment car.

In sept mid it will be good. But there are high chances of rain and landslides. Be careful. You will get little snow in zeropoint and no where else.

You can rent bike from Gangtok anywhere and ask the rent person for permission formalities. they will charge a minimum amount and will ask you for your ID cards and they will make it.

Yes definitely you can. Reach gangtok and book a hotel in MGRoad. There will be lot of flying drivers and taxies. Close them for east sikkim trip and bargain from them about the prices.

Yes you can take. But siliguri people will charge more for the permits.
If you want to go north / east sikkim on a rented bike then you should rent bike from gangtok because in that case of rented bikes only sikkim registered yellow number plate bikes are allowed

In april may snow will be there but snow fall wont be there. Yes you can drive till gangtok but from gangtok you need to hire local driver to drive your vehicle or else you wont get permit
It means one can't drive Gurudomar lake with self driven car, but I have seen videos on YT where people are driving pvt no vehicle
Generally they donot allow I have seen. In the checkpost they stop people.

Yes definitely. But you can't drive of your own in this route. Sikkim police only allow local driver to drive in this route
It's not like I went last month, I went by my own car (brezza)and I was driving the car.I had to get a permit from administrative office they allowed and the police had allowed it. And m from bihar
