This logo history of Orion is... _briliant!_ Just like other logos and intros for other movie companies, the logos from Orion Pictures Corporation are really memorable, especially for those people who watched Orion's movies. The logo from Orion that most people know is the opening sequence from 1979 to 1997. I like the use of special effects in the logo, and it was used for _18 years. Which is incredible._ The 1997 logo is a nice update to the 1979 logo, updated with 1990s computer effects. Their new logo from 2022 depends of your opinion, if it's a fresh change from the classic 1979 logo, or if it's bland and simplistic (as it's a product of the simplification trend of the 21st century, and it may take some time to get used to the new logo).

Yes, he does, and they’re keeping it open. I don’t think they’ve changed the byline from “An MGM Company” or anything like that, but I think it’s inevitable - Amazon Studios merged its distribution operations with MGM’s.
Warner Bros. never actually owned Orion. They were just the distributor for their early films. Warner Bros. Discovery owns the copyrights to anything released before 1982. In 1982 Orion Pictures Company bought out Filmways Pictures and reorganized it as Orion Pictures Corporation. It wasn't until 1997 when MGM acquired Metromedia's entertainment assets that they owned Orion and its back library.
