I set aside about half hour everyday towards finishing a song. I’m taking baby steps (if you will) and making progress towards the finish line. It has the added benefit of giving myself space and rest. Instead of feeling guilty that I didn’t finish it in one day.
Got to write 100 terrible tracks for one good song. Eventually you'll learn what makes a track great 👍 also huge tip I've just discovered, from a lot of online mixing tutorials you are often led to cut and fix sounds with eq. Often it's not mentioned to boost things and leave some sounds untouched. I hear a lot of songs that are very flat/boring and often lifeless. Helped me a ton,now I boost a lot more and my mixes are fuller and full of energy!
Well said , Dan. So many people have made the same erroneous mistakes.

I love that idea. A little bit at a time is all you need. Helps you to take a step back and consider the overall track.
Thanks for watching!
