The ones that say 'mother' 'father' 'brother' are called foot stones. that is the end on the grave. The person that it belongs to is the first stone you come to with the name etc. on it. That is the 'head' stone. Not all headstones have a footstone. The one you thought might be a bird bath could have been but another possibility is a family stone that was place at the four corners of a family plot.

Is it possible that was a house and it burned down with everyone inside? And they put all the stones in the exact spot they were found. Things like that were done back then!

Finding graveyards is pretty common.
Most families had them right by their house.
Cool adventure, thanks for sharing

@@Angela-qe7qg thanks for the info. I had not been in an old graveyard since I was a kid so couldn't remember. Not places I try to frequent. Lol
That was cool guys. Fascinating about the cemetery there in McFarland. Enjoyed the spider and beetle.
I saw you guys on Saturday at Sarah’s creek ❤
@@Ashere001 Awesome! We had a good time exploring despite the fact I was not feeling well. That video should be up in a day or 2.

@@dodgeguyz had not considered that but there were other families there as well so I'm not sure. Definitely something to think about.
Sometimes just a piece of field stone is all that was used...
@@jacksonholenc good to know. Love learning new things!
