I did the VIP soundcheck thing in Dortmund a few weeks ago and got to ask a question. One of the greatest moments ever, especially because Paul honoured my late big brother who was a big fan. 🙏❤️

Going Blind is just flat out a great song.
Saw them live a week ago. What an awesome show. But I would literally be just as happy to see them do a concert this way too. So sad they are ending it. I hope they decide to do some shows like this in the future. Just as good as the full makeup and costume theatrics.
When Paul is playing, that's really where he shines. He loves it! He loves the part (he'll always be the Starchild)! Damn good performance. Thanks for sharing! G

@KISS This is my new fave Kiss performance. My old fave were all songs performed on the Dynasty tour. Toronto, 1979. Paul's vox on Got to Choose are beautiful to hear. Gene's vox on Goin Blind are amazing. Eric and Tommy, I love how you two keep the Kiss Spirit alive albeit through unfounded controversy. Peter and Ace, your contribution to the legacy of Kiss is immortal and will forever inspire me and many like me. Now, I must watch this vid again! I know there are many others but need to mention Eric Carr, rest in peace brother.

I'm a jaded 58 year old life long New Yorker, but I 100% admit if I ever met Paul Stanley I will become the 17 year old obsessed fan and will probably forget how to talk. lol. True story my friend and I were probably about 17 at the time and we were on 48th street in Manhattan looking at the guitars at Manny's and Paul Stanley and this beautiful blonde were right behind us looking at guitars and we were so nervous we couldn't even turn around.

Nothing improvised , everything under control , almost perfect sound . It's the Kiss that I like without makeup.
If you like that you'll like the animalize live video.
My biggest gripe about the Animalize vid is that Bruce hardly got any camera time!
@@spaceace1006 Yes I noticed that. I'm Australian and Paul & Gene are over here where they first toured here in 1980. They played every state and even toured NZ. Most bands only do the big cities and give others the flick.

They have been playing the same old stuff since 95-96 ! When paul said that ace and peter couldn't play other songs ! Well their gone and it's the same shit !
@@johnm2617 they do play a ton of different stuff on their cruises, bet that is for serious fans who know the obscure stuff. The concerts are for the casual listeners who only know the ‘hits’.

@@johnm2617 Yeah, definitely can’t support this version. If they really appreciated the fans they would have retired after the farewell tour. Or even after Psycho Circus. It makes me sad to see what they are doing now. Just a money grab. I can’t believe the are still selling out arenas.
@@johnm2617 They have said they can’t play deep cuts on tour cuz a majority of the people who go to the shows now would have no idea what ‘Naked City’ or ‘Magic Touch’ are.
Remember when this stuff was only roadies and people connected to the show? I do. Sad they’re charging money for tickets to sound check, backstage, etc. Man, I miss the 80s.
What a great thing to do for the fans. In some ways more fun than the actual concert. I saw the Gene Simmons Band and it as good as any KISS concert. Paul looks fantastic for someone in his 70s!

KISS are an EPIC band. Seen them many times over the years, but would love for them to play my hometown of Cardiff, the Capital city of Wales, if they do add another 100 city dates onto the EOTR tour as Gene suggested recently. How about it KISS?????

Paul said back in 95-96 the reunion tour that ace and peter couldn't play any different songs ?? Here we are roughly 25 years later and it's the same old stuff ! Trust me I'm a big fan since the 70's !! But their not the best musicians?🤔🤔 ! Ace was the best musician they had ! And bruce kulick was awsome also !

Remember when our grandfathers were 72? Hell, remember when they were FIFTY-TWO - they were bent over and hunched and wrinkled and had croaky voices, and called you "sonny" and dressed like old people, and watched "Matlock" and "Knots Landing" all day in their safe sofas, and could only walk slowly. If our grandfathers took a fall like that, there'd be broken hips and wrists and days in the hospital, etc.

So upset and sad that concert in Townsville Aus has been cancelled! After being postponed a few times now not on😘 been a fan since late 70,s and would have been something to remember forever!! We get bugga all big bands in nth Qld and we just wanted to rock n roll all night and party every day. Now we can't! It f,n sucks. Sharky Cardwell nth Qld Australia 🦈

@@paul14stanley to far for us to travel, was 5 of us going to show in Townsville and we can't afford flights accommodation etc. At least we can watch U tube vids and the band still sound fantastic. Cheers

Yeah, that was Åge - looked like he was together with Magnus Ulfsted (Eclipse, Ammunition)
They pretty much play the same songs at soundcheck every gig.
I wonder how much people are paying for the "Sound Check Experience". In the 90`s I recall throwing people out of eyesight during the "Farwell Tour" -back then they did not even want their truck drivers in the arena. Why, ? a real sound check you can not hear a thing as nothing is put through the main P.A. -just the stage monitors.-This is part of the Live Nation exploitation.

Having been a KISS fan since 1976...Nowdays I'd rather watch a sound check than an actual concert. Better songs will be heard and NOT seeing the makeup and costumes. KISS needs to go on the 'Sound Check' tour.....🤟
Only Gene sings without the help of the tape. 60% of Paul's singing is lip sync, but that's okay

Beyond the make up I will never understand the fuzz about KISS. Gene is not the nicest person , Paul is a good rock guitarist with a decent rock voice and I actually Peter Criss did quite a good solo album back then. But now, it's hyper commercial from Rock &. Brew (which I like by the way) to Detroit Rock city. I have their action figures on stage and love it, saw them once, that is enough.
