  • Had the opportunity to try two Cordless Stick Vacuums Henry Quick from Numatic and the V8 from Dyson side by side. One of which was for me and one for a family member.
    In the video I do a quick unboxing and then run over the features, an initial vacuuming and my thoughts on why I bought what I did.
    Unboxing, Battery specs, run time, emptying, cleaning, suction power, attachments and much more.

    I bought the Henry Quick Pet today and it’s fantastic. It was to replace a Dyson V8. Far better than the Dyson comparable version. I have a henry corded version and am glad i went for the Henry Quick Pet. Great video by the way! I still think using bags you get better suction. The fact that you don’t have to wash filters and no dust is a big winner in my eyes. To empty a dyson there is a huge mess and all the dust gets stuck on the inner parts.

    After looking to replace my 3yr old cordless Dyson Animal for all the reasons you mention.Following your review, I shall definitely be purchasing the Henry quick! Thank you.

    Today, we bought one of these in pink, and it's an extraordinary vacuum cleaner. Its suction power is so phenomenal that using it feels like you're rotating the Earth.

    Just bought the Henry after years of Dyson/shark and the expense. Henry is 100% better and great for a doggy home. No loss of suction, love the pod idea too.

    I'm slightly confused as to why Argos don't sell the replacement pods for Henry! Seems they can be purchased elsewhere though but really shouldn't have to go searching for them.
    From what I've seen in this review video, it seems as though Henry has better suction than Dyson which is a must when purchasing a hoover

      Yeah it would make sense for them to sell the pods (bags) and scent pods. I'm now on my 3rd bag but it fills them up until they are solid. I've also bought a pack of the scent rings, Direct from henry.

      Brilliant! Hope you're finding it a good vacuum. Ours is used every day and it's changed the way we vacuum in our house! The first pod is nearly full now just going off what I can see inside it but it's not lost any suction at all! I am very impressed with it.

      @@Leapops Hi, used the quick for all our vacuuming and it lasted for just over a month. I waited until it showed the red light and I was amazed at how rock solid the pod was when taken out as it managed to fit in and compact so much dirt!

    I like the bag idea but Numatic probably need to do something about the whole plastic gasket around the top. That isn't good for landfill or your wallet long term. Also I need a longer lasting battery for that high power mode.

    Had various cordless vacuums over the years, Dyson, Vax, Shark, Polti Beldray , I bought a Henry Quick around 6 months ago, really pleased with its performance and usability, the only criticism is the main head could be a bit better build , an optional hose for Henry would be nice and I wish the machine was in a different position to wand (like Dyson design) as tight areas getting under furniture can be a little tricky, but overall I’m happy with Henry and would buy again without question.

    Just to correct you. Dyson is no longer British! It’s a Singaporean brand that manufactures in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and China. When they moved their HQ to Singapore last year they stopped being a British company. If you want a good quality corded vacuum you need a SEBO. Made in Germany, twice as durable as a Dyson and on par with a full size Henry with good quality dust bags for hygienic dust disposal and will out clean these two machines you have here on carpets. SEBO E3 Premium cylinder and Felix uprights are excellent machines!

    The problem with the Dyson is if you haven’t got an electric socket close to where you want mount it you’ve got a problem whereas the Henry can be mounted anywhere and you can still charge the battery.

      I agree it could do with an anti-tangle. It's definitely easy enough to take the roller out and cut the hair off, takes like 30 seconds but....would prefer not to have to do that.

    Just bought the Henry quick far better than the Dyson v8 , v11 . The price of the v15 is criminal . All Hoovers need to come with anti hair wrap technology but not at the Dyson v15 600 pound odd price tag .

  • @BlatentlyFakeName

    Dyson is all marketing.
    The Henry is actually still made in the UK, unlike the Dyson. Which is now a cheap product made in Asia with a high price tag.

    • @thingvida

      At the time the V8 and Dyson where most closely matched in price (due to offers) and the V8 is still a more popular machine because of its lower price.

    Bought Henry Quick Pet. Unfortunately, the brush roll got clogged at the edges with pet hair, I cleaned the brushes - no anti hair wrap here! The machine made a horrible sound and stopped working. I’d used it for FIVE days … shocking!! Definitely not fit for a pet household where quick cleanups are necessary a couple of times a day.

    • @thingvida
      @thingvida  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh wow! That doesn't sound good. I'm going to do a full review of the Quick once I've filled up the first bag/pod to the point it tells me to change it.
      I've got girls with long hair here that shed and I do cut them off the roller regularly and take out the roller when I do it. So far I've had no issues but I will mention your troubles in the review if that's OK, as although mine has been fine I do think an anti tangle head is needed on this machine.

    • @lisabeez1006
      @lisabeez1006 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@thingvida good idea! With two long haired cats and a dog I don’t want to be clearing the roller after every use. The pet machines really do need anti hair wrap. I really liked the pod/filter though. Funnily enough I replaced it with a Dyson V8 - five days in and no problems!

    • @thingvida
      @thingvida  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The pod/bag is the winner for me 10 times out of 10 even without an anti hair wrap brush bar. I'm going to do a video of trying to design and 3d print an adapter that will allow dyson attachments on the Quick in the new year! Your experience and my experience with these vacuums just shows that people need to prioritise what they find most useful doesn't it and that there are pros and cons to everything out there. @@lisabeez1006
