im returning after 4 years and the game is just not fun anymore, with the new health values it feels impossible to kill people sometimes because they always escape on 1hp so it feels like even if i play optimally i still dont get rewarded for it
As a genji one trick i completed agree with this video i have over 1000+ hours my self and the new blade, hp pool and ofc no one shots it just weird to play i find it alot harder for me to get value
I totally agree, 500 hr one trick, it just feels rough playing him. He relied on getting kills as fast as possible then to get out or go for the next kill. With a longer TTK, they are more likely to get help, and the dps passive doesn’t do nearly enough to offset that, especially considering all the support utility abilities that give an extra life to their teammates or themselves so easily
Being able to one shot with nano blade and hitting those combos on genji is what made him so fun to learn and play. With both of those gone I think he definitely falls under a more mundane/weaker version of soldier because of the shuriken speed. RIP GENGU
I just want tracer and genji to be on a similar level of power. The amount of times a tracer just rips through my team isn't fun, and i can barely contest her at all because of the hp changes. Experience from T500 lobbies
I totally agree with everything you said in this video bro. Many of the heroes in this game have so many options to escape or save, as well as increasing their overall health points, which makes playing Genji in some games very challenging.
Was already working on a Genji video for the past week to post tomorrow but you hit literally most of the greatest points, unironically I believe he actually does needs buffs.
I completely agree as a GM console Genji with 500+ hours. For the blade, they need to take away the swing recovery buff, and instead buff the damage blade does from 110 to 120/130. This would make nano blade viable again as a slash dash would now do 255/270 damage, bringing blade back to its original state. Now, for Genji's shurikens, they should buff the damage from 27 to 28. This would make him a more viable duelist when it comes to heroes like tracer, moira, and baptiste, who are currently better at duals than Genji. That's personally how I'd make Genji better for season 10.

I think it’s clear that the devs don’t want nanoblade one shot combo back (as fun as it was to execute and watch) but that just the way it is. BUT a possible blade buff could be to make consecutive swings on the same target do more damage, +30 at least per swing. This brings back two swing kills, and allows you to kill through more healing with dash and two swings. Needing a dash hit and 3 swing most targets, especially supports, feels horrible and will usually get you killed before you can get the dash reset. So having fairly consistent dash and 2 swing kills would be nice. And 2 swing kills on 250 hp targets. Or they could just buff shuriken damage without changing the combos except for tracer
the fact that everyone knows how to counter genji and most heros are soft counters and the fact that he has no 100% value is the fact y genji is strugeling in this season! nice video
When the season first dropped I thought Genji was giga buffed, but after some time I realized he's just easier to play. The new health pools make it very hard to do anything alone, every game it feels like I can only get a kill if I have back up with me or I'm just cleaning up. My score seems chained to my tank's score no matter what, and I can't even pop off in low rank lobbies that should be easy for me. My rank used to be high diamond - low masters just one tricking Genji and barely swapping, now I am in plat and can't carry at all. This results in very RNG matches, when my tank goes dive I will go 40-2, then the next game my tank doesn't go with me I am 8-10. Over all I stopped playing this season because I didn't get any fun plays for days at a time.
The fact that blading the tank is more the most sensible way to get value with ult is something I would;’t have imagined since playing him from the first 20 seasons. Insane
As a 1300 genji one trick, the games prior to season 9 when you felt you had carry potential, nano blade feels good to use, winning duels against each character, is just gone. Every character is stronger & I agree with the tracer talk because look at top 500 dps, it’s all tracer. Genji doesn’t feel as smooth like he used to. I atleast just want some number changes because they don’t know what to do with genji.
i mostly play genji in my games(300 hrs on genji), he felt good in the start but now its sucks, every games its a moira, bap or lucio or kiri. if u wanna dive in u gotta count every CD and on top of that health increase makes it difficult too. i am not that good but this was my exp.

Honestly, I don't know what's point to play genji now. Like, I started play overwatch and genji only because of his blade. It was cool, it needed skill and experience to use blade good and it was rewardable enough. If you done everything well you vanished all enemy team. But now... Blade still demands a lot of time to learn, practise and experience and what i get? Not even guarantee kill with combo. It's just insane!
I 100 nah screw that, 300% agree. Like I just switched from console to PC, and I would be destroying everybody, but fsr, because of the shitty new health buffs, he can’t kill anything. I always only get them down to 1 hp, but I can never kill. This patch for season 9 really made me realize that blizzard never actually balence the game, as much as they do either giga buff or giga nerf a hero. It’s kinda sad how they’ve screwed up genji. I have 300 hours on him, and I’m back in my prime, but I wish they would give him back his damage. I feel this way for all extremely hard hero’s, (genji, tracer, etc…) they should be the most overpowered but be the most mechanically intuitive to play. But whenever you give your all with genji like in this patch, killing someone is impossible. I’ve also noticed inconsistencies with blade slices. Sometimes they double slice, sometimes it’s back the speed at 6 slice genji. Kinda bad how you can’t even 1 shot combo nano blade.

The 250 health change for some hero’s has made then great but for others like genji, Han I, Kirk Lo has made certain aspects of g to wit hit useless. Blade right now is a complete suicide mission. If you don’t have an Ana it’s literally better to hold onto it for the entire game because you literally kill people faster without it. Hopefully genji gets the buffs he needs next patch, probably like 25 more damage on blade and maybe 2-4 more damage on shurikens. It’s also so bs how the new hero can melee animation cancel with their dash while genji can’t……
As a genji player i had some trouble adapting but as i adapted i realized how much more i liked season 8 more just because the plays felt more rewarding but now i learned tracer still play genji im still having some fun honestly just miss old blade
this is the reason I don't like the health buff, one shots and nice mechanics don't shine as bright . They should've just nerfed the healing cooldowns imo
I'm not that good of a genji player, but I was masters 4 in season 8 playing only Genji. Now I can't win once using him on diamond 5. He's not that fun anymore, I was playing and learning him to play flashy blades, oneshot combos, not its just gone or became impossible for me to pull out. So I don't play him anymore, sadly.
ive recently begun just playing genji, and in season 8 i finally started to get really good at genji. i could 180 faster out of a dash, my blades were good especially nanoblade. and i fucking loved how it felt. then they reworked the hp in the game in season 9. he doesnt feel the same anymore. i really dont like anything that they have done to him and i want the old genji back. its like i have to learn him all over again when nothing that killed before kills now. always one extra slash and shot with shurikens. i find myself more frequently using his dash as an escape. and his ult feels so bad rn, it feels like a lifeweaver alone needs 4 slashes, and thats the whole ult wasted.
I started playing genji about 2 and a half weeks ago and I have only 16 hours and I totally agree. I usually don't hit like buttons on anything but for this I kinda have to. He explains everything that all Genji players are struggling about and its honestly just not fair.
I’ve been playing more genji this season than any other season and I feel like I’ve done way less with his util since you can’t get the same value with it like before
1500+hours genji player and i completely agree with you. They should buff blade damage so slash+dash oneshots squishies again while nanoboosted. I also feel very lost in this season because you cannot seem to truly punish any support or other dps right now even if you hit your dash+rightclick combo. As a character, that is this mechanically demanding it is downright hillarious that a hero like moira can get so much more value without putting in any effort at all. I also do not blame the devs, they commited to a huge change this season and im hopeful that in season 10 they will change alot with the values they got from this season. At least one can hope.
we all hoped and still hope genji get balanced in a way that promote skill and hours of training. however people need to realize the problem come from the developer vision of genji. they want him to just be mid at best so an experienced player can't destroy worst players. he's state is not a mistake, it's meant to be unrewarding. I love genji gameplay but I can't stand it anymore this vision. I moved on on games that have more respect for the dedication I have for their games.
use to be constantly playing in Gm1/t500 lobbies being a genji onetrick but recently with the rank reset ive been stuck in low masters because i feel like its nearly impossible to do crazy solo plays anymore because of the hp change and how genji just cant dive supports anymore without assistance from like half the team. the season where i finally get faster with blade is the season where blading is absolutely ass, just blading in anyone just sucks, cass ana? whos gonna use there ability first? sleep or hindered? moira lucio, whos gonna use there ults first? moira can fade away and lucio can go super sonic speed. lw can just tree and blade is done. only way to slash dash is with ana mercy but you rarely ever get that. i rarely ever go for 1 shots unless its a close up tracer or a hero who is low hp bc taking that risk of one shotting a hero like soldier while full hp is like running into a wall thinking youll break through. season sucks for genji for carrying, nearly impossible.
I am a genji main player with 600ish hours on him, playing in diamond/master level in Asia servers, I agree with everything :( this character is so damn technical but so little reward to it, just play tracer or something else if you want to be rewarded for your mechanical skill, this isn't right for such a high skill floor character :( but sadly even if this video pops off. Blizzard will do nothing about it. It's been seasons without genji getting any buffs, every match notes I see every character except genji :(
I agree with this, yes he is "good" but he doesn't feel good, I'm not one to say one-shots are good for the game but since nano + blade takes two ults to use and can be stopped a lot of times I didn't necessarily think it was that bad for the game, but I can understand the frustrations it causes, which is why I am not too hopeful of it's return.
100% agree. up until last season i have only ever onetricked genji on dps. this season i cant enjoy it, it feels like this patch ruined genji for me. at this point i get equal playtime on genji and tracer, where i would be on about 10x more playtime for genji during the last seasons.
High masters opinion here btw. I like new blade sorta, it needs some love for sure, but I like the fantasy of just hacking away with my awesome sword. Its fun when it works.
For me, Genji's situation has improved a lot compared to previous Seasons. But, increasing the HP of all characters and giving him an additional Blade cut will not compensate for the lack of direct damage. While most characters had a real damage increase to go along with the new HP, without combos, Genji continues with Shurikens that deal an average of 81, with critical hits of 162, that is IF the 3 Shurikens hit the head, which does not happen in most In most cases, an increase of +10 damage to meelee, or an extra Blade won't make up for it. As long as they don't solve the problem of damage variation that the Blade has (which sometimes the cut causes 0 damage or 20 damage instead of 110), until they solve the problem of Dash's Hitbox stretching and you receiving HS when you've already left the Dash start point (and no, it's not my internet. My connection is excellent, I play with 15 ping, no loss and 100 fps and this still happens)... The reality of Genji is that he barely got a direct buff on his character in almost 2 years of Overwatch 2. We always get buffs because the role receive it or because other characters receive. The only real buffs we got were: Ammo returning to what it was (which wasn't even intentional), the Blade configuration and the Blade's additional hit. The reality is that while others play OW2, with their updated characters, main Genji plays OW1. And all because they say the character is broken because we trained and spent hundreds of hours learning the character. While the others play with characters that deal 445 damage in 2 seconds (Sombra) or that just point and tracking to kill someone in 1 second (Moira). Honestly, If i can, i would increase the damage of Genji's Shurikens from 27 to 30, make him invulnerable during the 0.3 seconds of the Dash (or at least give 50% damage reduction, since Cassidy has 75% ROLLING ON THE GROUND, while Genji it turns into a lightning and take a HS, I think it's unfair.), It would give +10 points of damage to the Blade and remove the Blade's damage variation, if it hit the target it's 120 damage and that's it. The variation is bugged and causes it to deal 0 or 20 damage with the Blade hitting in full body. Back when it was still 8 cuts, Necros gave 8 cuts to an Ashe aprisioned at the corner and she was left alive with a pocket of Mercy (without ult) that had barely arrived. It was supposed to do 880 damage, but it clearly did way less than that, it's ridiculous. Sorry for the big text, it was bigger due to the revolt, but leaving Genji aside with half-apologies, while there are other characters that break the game so easy irritates me. And i used a translator, so... sorry.😅
if only they would make the shurikens do a little more damage so we can one shot a tracer and make the blade go back to the regular swing speed but the swings do more damage i would love to start playing genji again.
I don't know what they did to the game, but genji is just completely unplayable when there is a Moira on the enemy team. I simply can't do anything to fight the Moira. She either dives my backline whenever I try to play passive or she protects her backline. Either or once the Moira sees you it's just a switch in her brain to just ignore everything else and dive you because she thinks your bad at the game and can't consistently hit headshots to kill her. Oh rein shattered me? I'll just dive the genji in the back to recover my hp and get a kill because his teammates have no awareness when he calls out for help. Genji on the high ground with 2 supports? No worries he's already dead when I reach him. Like at least make the support actually take skill. You just hold the attack button and the game aims for you. You don't even have to look at them you just look in their general direction and it'll lock on. And the range from POV's is actually nasty af. They need to nerf the range on Moiras attack button because I've seen Moiras basically snipe pharahs out of the sky. They would type "Bro pharah you died to a moira?" like they've never encountered Moira the entire game of playing overwatch. For every tick of damage she's doing, she heals off of that which is annoying asf so if your not doing more damage than her your screwed. So you could imagine the anger I feel when the enemy Moira targets me for pressuring her brig and I can't do anything about it because my supports are cowering behind my tank so I just have to desperately try to escape while getting my hp sucked off from across the map. Words cannot describe my hatred for this character. Nerf Genji, more like nerf the only support that hasn't been changed in like the past 2 to 3 years. Do damage to heal your teammates. That's it. There's nothing else to it. You do damage to gain heals and spray them on your teammates. And her ultamite is just a Kamehameha which is annoying when ur being targeted cause the supports just don't care and act surprised when ur dead. This game honestly needs a whole new makeover. Idc if the enemy team has a full counter to me as genji but once u add Moira to the enemy team I am just forced to play another character. And they the Moira switches and then they lose and I'm like "So you countered the one character I'm really good at just to lose?" Like I know it's a skill issue but I think everybody in the overwatch community believes that Moira is just a stupid character in general and her kit is ridiculous. I could be playing Ana and there would be a Moira in the backline trying to kill me constantly and she just gets slept and anti'd because she used her vanish to dive me and I'm just standing there like "What did you think was gonna happen?" But it honestly feels like the devs added a secret mechanic or game thing that allows Moira players to do more damage to genji as a troll because it feels like I'm taking more damage then I should be because I'm facing a Moira player who has 90 hours in gm. And they didn't even buff genji they just added stuff to balance with the health increase. 3 swings to kill 1 person btw. Even a nano boosted genji is bad. I'm basically just walking around with shirukens and that's it. I can't get a 5k or 6k anymore because 1, 6v6 isn't a thing anymore and 2, it's just impossible to get a 5k with genji anymore because either the team has supports that counter his ultimate or they are too spread apart for me to even kill them with 7 seconds. But honestly Moira either needs to be more, genji needs a buff or just remove Moira from the game. Genji would be so much better if he would deflect lasers. You're telling me genji can deflect A MINIATURE BLACK HOLE BUT CANT DEFLECT A LASER???? Ow2 needs another makeover this game is booty 😭🙏🙏🙏
I'm fine with blade, was the most broken dps ult now is more in line with other heros. I'd love if genji stop be an blade spammer. The real issue is that is normal kit is really really bad, all the hero in the game recive compensation expect genji. Plus the fact that genji has the highest number of counters in the game plus the fact that the main two things that made him boring are the several bugs and the facts that every hero throw cd at genji.
I did the math and buffing blade to 120 dmg a swing would allow nano blade one shots, and buffing it 135 would allow it to nano one shot 275 hp targets and nerf tracer health
My genji is only 400hrs,i also feel it,s too bad just like if u want to kill zenyatta,u will be kicked and then all agents will kill by a second,by the way,when i use ult,sometimes i even cant kill anyone 😢165+75=240..
Honestly I stopped playing genji cus my mechanics are bad but my nano blades were good I use to be plat 1- diamond 3 now I’m hard stuck gold 3 and I don’t find myself playing genji as much he really isn’t as fun as he use to be tbh
as a 2500+n't hours genjin't player all i can say is... Those JQ players they just cant fucking play the game, they never use their abilities properly and if anything they end up throwing my games
The problem is bigger than Genji. It's the fact the the Devs keep promoting heroes that are so easy to play and get so much more value for little to no risk compared to Genji. The high risk high reward playstyle of Genji is practically non-existent as there are other heroes that get easier value for less than half the effort on Genji.

Mechanically he may not feel as good anymore (although I personally think that is debatable, as I'm a big fan of the blade changes), but he is undoubtedly stronger than he was before. Consistency has gone up, and with that gamesense becomes more valuable than ever. Not only that, but Genji feeling good to play despite the heroes that we are seeing in ranked right now goes to show how strong and versatile he is. Imo he sits at a solid A tier, but 99% of players aren't able to play him to that level due to an overreliance on mechanical plays and too little emphasis put into smart play.

But whenever you give your all with genji like in this patch, killing someone is impossible. I’ve also noticed inconsistencies with blade slices. Sometimes they double slice, sometimes it’s back the speed at 6 slice genji. Kinda bad how you can’t even 1 shot combo nano blade.
Genii one trick here, completely agree with everything here. The 250 health change for some hero’s has made then great but for others like genji, Han I, Kirk Lo has made certain aspects of g to wit hit useless. Blade right now is a complete suicide mission. If you don’t have an Ana it’s literally better to hold onto it for the entire game because you literally kill people faster without it. Hopefully genji gets the buffs he needs next patch, probably like 25 more damage on blade and maybe 2-4 more damage on shurikens. It’s also so bs how the new hero can melee animation cancel with their dash while genji can’t……

As a genji player i had some trouble adapting but as i adapted i realized how much more i liked season 8 more just because the plays felt more rewarding but now i learned tracer still play genji im still having some fun honestly just miss old blade
this is the reason I don't like the health buff, one shots and nice mechanics don't shine as bright . They should've just nerfed the healing cooldowns imo
I'm not that good of a genji player, but I was masters 4 in season 8 playing only Genji. Now I can't win once using him on diamond 5. He's not that fun anymore, I was playing and learning him to play flashy blades, oneshot combos, not its just gone or became impossible for me to pull out. So I don't play him anymore, sadly.
ive recently begun just playing genji, and in season 8 i finally started to get really good at genji. i could 180 faster out of a dash, my blades were good especially nanoblade. and i fucking loved how it felt. then they reworked the hp in the game in season 9. he doesnt feel the same anymore. i really dont like anything that they have done to him and i want the old genji back. its like i have to learn him all over again when nothing that killed before kills now. always one extra slash and shot with shurikens. i find myself more frequently using his dash as an escape. and his ult feels so bad rn, it feels like a lifeweaver alone needs 4 slashes, and thats the whole ult wasted.
I started playing genji about 2 and a half weeks ago and I have only 16 hours and I totally agree. I usually don't hit like buttons on anything but for this I kinda have to. He explains everything that all Genji players are struggling about and its honestly just not fair.
Hopefully they buff genji on s10 where the hp doesn’t change but rather his damage scales to the point where he can one shot 250 hp heroes.
I’ve been playing more genji this season than any other season and I feel like I’ve done way less with his util since you can’t get the same value with it like before
1500+hours genji player and i completely agree with you. They should buff blade damage so slash+dash oneshots squishies again while nanoboosted. I also feel very lost in this season because you cannot seem to truly punish any support or other dps right now even if you hit your dash+rightclick combo. As a character, that is this mechanically demanding it is downright hillarious that a hero like moira can get so much more value without putting in any effort at all.
I also do not blame the devs, they commited to a huge change this season and im hopeful that in season 10 they will change alot with the values they got from this season. At least one can hope.
Maybe a passive for Genji that brings back the 20% decrease of healing to target, The only way to consistently secure kills now is with damage boost
we all hoped and still hope genji get balanced in a way that promote skill and hours of training. however people need to realize the problem come from the developer vision of genji. they want him to just be mid at best so an experienced player can't destroy worst players. he's state is not a mistake, it's meant to be unrewarding. I love genji gameplay but I can't stand it anymore this vision. I moved on on games that have more respect for the dedication I have for their games.
use to be constantly playing in Gm1/t500 lobbies being a genji onetrick but recently with the rank reset ive been stuck in low masters because i feel like its nearly impossible to do crazy solo plays anymore because of the hp change and how genji just cant dive supports anymore without assistance from like half the team. the season where i finally get faster with blade is the season where blading is absolutely ass, just blading in anyone just sucks, cass ana? whos gonna use there ability first? sleep or hindered? moira lucio, whos gonna use there ults first? moira can fade away and lucio can go super sonic speed. lw can just tree and blade is done. only way to slash dash is with ana mercy but you rarely ever get that. i rarely ever go for 1 shots unless its a close up tracer or a hero who is low hp bc taking that risk of one shotting a hero like soldier while full hp is like running into a wall thinking youll break through. season sucks for genji for carrying, nearly impossible.

I am a genji main player with 600ish hours on him, playing in diamond/master level in Asia servers, I agree with everything :( this character is so damn technical but so little reward to it, just play tracer or something else if you want to be rewarded for your mechanical skill, this isn't right for such a high skill floor character :( but sadly even if this video pops off. Blizzard will do nothing about it. It's been seasons without genji getting any buffs, every match notes I see every character except genji :(

I agree with this, yes he is "good" but he doesn't feel good, I'm not one to say one-shots are good for the game but since nano + blade takes two ults to use and can be stopped a lot of times I didn't necessarily think it was that bad for the game, but I can understand the frustrations it causes, which is why I am not too hopeful of it's return.

100% agree. up until last season i have only ever onetricked genji on dps. this season i cant enjoy it, it feels like this patch ruined genji for me. at this point i get equal playtime on genji and tracer, where i would be on about 10x more playtime for genji during the last seasons.
High masters opinion here btw. I like new blade sorta, it needs some love for sure, but I like the fantasy of just hacking away with my awesome sword. Its fun when it works.
For me, Genji's situation has improved a lot compared to previous Seasons. But, increasing the HP of all characters and giving him an additional Blade cut will not compensate for the lack of direct damage.
While most characters had a real damage increase to go along with the new HP, without combos, Genji continues with Shurikens that deal an average of 81, with critical hits of 162, that is IF the 3 Shurikens hit the head, which does not happen in most In most cases, an increase of +10 damage to meelee, or an extra Blade won't make up for it. As long as they don't solve the problem of damage variation that the Blade has (which sometimes the cut causes 0 damage or 20 damage instead of 110), until they solve the problem of Dash's Hitbox stretching and you receiving HS when you've already left the Dash start point (and no, it's not my internet. My connection is excellent, I play with 15 ping, no loss and 100 fps and this still happens)...
The reality of Genji is that he barely got a direct buff on his character in almost 2 years of Overwatch 2. We always get buffs because the role receive it or because other characters receive. The only real buffs we got were: Ammo returning to what it was (which wasn't even intentional), the Blade configuration and the Blade's additional hit. The reality is that while others play OW2, with their updated characters, main Genji plays OW1.
And all because they say the character is broken because we trained and spent hundreds of hours learning the character. While the others play with characters that deal 445 damage in 2 seconds (Sombra) or that just point and tracking to kill someone in 1 second (Moira).
Honestly, If i can, i would increase the damage of Genji's Shurikens from 27 to 30, make him invulnerable during the 0.3 seconds of the Dash (or at least give 50% damage reduction, since Cassidy has 75% ROLLING ON THE GROUND, while Genji it turns into a lightning and take a HS, I think it's unfair.), It would give +10 points of damage to the Blade and remove the Blade's damage variation, if it hit the target it's 120 damage and that's it.
The variation is bugged and causes it to deal 0 or 20 damage with the Blade hitting in full body. Back when it was still 8 cuts, Necros gave 8 cuts to an Ashe aprisioned at the corner and she was left alive with a pocket of Mercy (without ult) that had barely arrived. It was supposed to do 880 damage, but it clearly did way less than that, it's ridiculous.
Sorry for the big text, it was bigger due to the revolt, but leaving Genji aside with half-apologies, while there are other characters that break the game so easy irritates me.

if only they would make the shurikens do a little more damage so we can one shot a tracer and make the blade go back to the regular swing speed but the swings do more damage i would love to start playing genji again.
I don't know what they did to the game, but genji is just completely unplayable when there is a Moira on the enemy team. I simply can't do anything to fight the Moira. She either dives my backline whenever I try to play passive or she protects her backline. Either or once the Moira sees you it's just a switch in her brain to just ignore everything else and dive you because she thinks your bad at the game and can't consistently hit headshots to kill her. Oh rein shattered me? I'll just dive the genji in the back to recover my hp and get a kill because his teammates have no awareness when he calls out for help. Genji on the high ground with 2 supports? No worries he's already dead when I reach him. Like at least make the support actually take skill. You just hold the attack button and the game aims for you. You don't even have to look at them you just look in their general direction and it'll lock on. And the range from POV's is actually nasty af. They need to nerf the range on Moiras attack button because I've seen Moiras basically snipe pharahs out of the sky. They would type "Bro pharah you died to a moira?" like they've never encountered Moira the entire game of playing overwatch. For every tick of damage she's doing, she heals off of that which is annoying asf so if your not doing more damage than her your screwed. So you could imagine the anger I feel when the enemy Moira targets me for pressuring her brig and I can't do anything about it because my supports are cowering behind my tank so I just have to desperately try to escape while getting my hp sucked off from across the map. Words cannot describe my hatred for this character. Nerf Genji, more like nerf the only support that hasn't been changed in like the past 2 to 3 years. Do damage to heal your teammates. That's it. There's nothing else to it. You do damage to gain heals and spray them on your teammates. And her ultamite is just a Kamehameha which is annoying when ur being targeted cause the supports just don't care and act surprised when ur dead. This game honestly needs a whole new makeover. Idc if the enemy team has a full counter to me as genji but once u add Moira to the enemy team I am just forced to play another character. And they the Moira switches and then they lose and I'm like "So you countered the one character I'm really good at just to lose?" Like I know it's a skill issue but I think everybody in the overwatch community believes that Moira is just a stupid character in general and her kit is ridiculous. I could be playing Ana and there would be a Moira in the backline trying to kill me constantly and she just gets slept and anti'd because she used her vanish to dive me and I'm just standing there like "What did you think was gonna happen?" But it honestly feels like the devs added a secret mechanic or game thing that allows Moira players to do more damage to genji as a troll because it feels like I'm taking more damage then I should be because I'm facing a Moira player who has 90 hours in gm. And they didn't even buff genji they just added stuff to balance with the health increase. 3 swings to kill 1 person btw. Even a nano boosted genji is bad. I'm basically just walking around with shirukens and that's it. I can't get a 5k or 6k anymore because 1, 6v6 isn't a thing anymore and 2, it's just impossible to get a 5k with genji anymore because either the team has supports that counter his ultimate or they are too spread apart for me to even kill them with 7 seconds. But honestly Moira either needs to be more, genji needs a buff or just remove Moira from the game. Genji would be so much better if he would deflect lasers. You're telling me genji can deflect A MINIATURE BLACK HOLE BUT CANT DEFLECT A LASER???? Ow2 needs another makeover this game is booty 😭🙏🙏🙏

I'm fine with blade, was the most broken dps ult now is more in line with other heros. I'd love if genji stop be an blade spammer. The real issue is that is normal kit is really really bad, all the hero in the game recive compensation expect genji. Plus the fact that genji has the highest number of counters in the game plus the fact that the main two things that made him boring are the several bugs and the facts that every hero throw cd at genji.
I did the math and buffing blade to 120 dmg a swing would allow nano blade one shots, and buffing it 135 would allow it to nano one shot 275 hp targets and nerf tracer health

The problem is bigger than Genji. It's the fact the the Devs keep promoting heroes that are so easy to play and get so much more value for little to no risk compared to Genji. The high risk high reward playstyle of Genji is practically non-existent as there are other heroes that get easier value for less than half the effort on Genji.

I hate moira.
Mechanically he may not feel as good anymore (although I personally think that is debatable, as I'm a big fan of the blade changes), but he is undoubtedly stronger than he was before. Consistency has gone up, and with that gamesense becomes more valuable than ever. Not only that, but Genji feeling good to play despite the heroes that we are seeing in ranked right now goes to show how strong and versatile he is. Imo he sits at a solid A tier, but 99% of players aren't able to play him to that level due to an overreliance on mechanical plays and too little emphasis put into smart play.
Thats on your thoughts, but do u think hes better than before in season 9? Why do u think so? Me personally the blade nerf that let tracer and mini DVA unexecuted is very WRONG.
