I bought a house in Miami that came with a 1950's Maytag washer and dryer. They were so old that the exterior looked yellow when it was actually white after some 409 and a few minutes of scrubbing. Those two machines were workhorses. As manual as could be but they never failed. When I listed the house for sale, the couple that bought it demanded that both appliances be included or there deal was off. Now that I have a pair of Maytags from 2023 I miss those old appliances. They were worth their weight in gold.
Failed mainboard, very common in these inverter drive machines. Open top find the serial number of mainboard, search online and order mainboard of same number. Have repaired my machine for $100 by doing this!
A shame the flexwash had to be the brainchild of the ever unreliable Samsung. The fact that yours lasted three years longer than most of them seem to is genuinely impressive. As for the LG, given that they wash differently than other front loaders, I'd love to see its tub clean cycle, if only to see if it's any different than the usual "spin the drum really hard" method.
Yeah that's what happens when a terrible company comes up with a great idea, they ruin it for the rest of us! As for your request, I'll add it to my list!
Story: Plug these into a surge protector when you buy them (even the ones that replaced it)... first thing before using... The board on mine went out in 2007 and it was replaced...plugged into a surge protector and no issues ever since...It may or may not help but defifnitely can't hurt

Hey, dont wanna disturb you but when you were attempting to spin the drum (flexwash) you put it on no spin, so i think you didnt notice, (found this at 1:17 )
@@UliRetz That was intentional. I did that just to demonstrate how the drain pump wasn’t working right. And “No Spin” doesn’t mean that the drum won’t spin, it just means that it won’t go into a high speed spin. It should still tumble during the draining. I wasn’t sure if the problem was motor overheat at that point so I didn’t want it to try a high speed spin, and all other cycles would try filling with water, which considering the drain pump wasn’t working right, I didn’t want to do either.
I’ll add it to the list! Depending on how much longer the cycle is though, I may just do Normal soil, but if it has a significant difference then I’ll do Heavy. And I appreciate the sympathy. It’s sad that it’s an end of an era, but with a new washer we get new opportunities (and in my opinion a better clean) so all worked out in the end!
Had the set for almost 3 years. Absolute junk. Will never ever buy another Samsung appliance. The only thing that they make that is worth anything is phones.
I'll add them both to the list! Someone else also requested the whites cycle so that'll have priority, but I'll try to get to heavy duty as well, though that cycle is over an hour and a half long!

Samsung bricking appliances now with firmware updates. My mother in her seventies bought a new Samsung fridge and it would not work unless she connected it to WiFi. The right to repair movement is DEAD.
If your Samsung Flex Wash drum is not spinning and stops mid-cycle, there could be several possible reasons: 1. **Blocked or tangled clothing**: Check to ensure that there are no large items causing the drum to become unbalanced or tangled during the cycle. 2. **Faulty motor**: The motor responsible for spinning the drum could be malfunctioning. If you hear any unusual noises coming from the washer, it could indicate a problem with the motor. 3. **Broken belt or pulley**: If the belt that drives the drum is broken or loose, the drum won't spin properly. Similarly, if a pulley is damaged, it can affect the spinning mechanism. 4. **Issues with the control board**: Problems with the control board or electronic components could cause the washer to stop mid-cycle. This may require professional diagnosis and repair. 5. **Imbalanced load**: Make sure the load inside the washer is distributed evenly. An imbalanced load can cause the drum to stop spinning. 6. **Overheating**: Some washers have built-in safety features that prevent the drum from spinning if it overheats. Check if the washer feels excessively hot to the touch. If basic troubleshooting steps don't resolve the issue, it's best to contact Samsung customer support or a qualified technician for further assistance. They can diagnose the problem accurately and recommend the appropriate solution.
Customer service aee so not helpful. Usually ita all outside the US they are though to read a manuscript and they are allowed to think. Well considering how much money the company is saving to outsource CS to the Philippines or south America for a 10th of the cost
I would buy an LG or ANY OTHER brand over a Samsung.... Samsung is the bottom of the barrel out of all of them....but I do like the way some of their appliances look... that is all
My front load has a control board. It went out in 2007 (2 years after owning it) when the board was replaced, I plugged into a surge protector and here we are 19 years later no issues with the board..
