I would really love for Terry to start believing that his vision is his and even though history has inspired it, he is the architect and Ash and Tracy and everyone else are the master crafters that are putting it all together. I watch how your family decorates together and I can imagine these halls at one point being filled with many laborers all doing exactly the same thing that you are doing. Crafting together a grand image that is suitable for the size of the rooms. Bravo! This is not a Louis XIIV remodel, this is a Terry, Ash, Tracy ETC... original!

Keeping the two pillars above the fire place as plain wood? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll believe it when I see it. Within a couple of weeks we'll hear that it 'just needs a little lift', the gold will come out and there will be some sort of leaf design snaking its way up each pillar and a monogram panel on each capital. Perhaps adding paintings (such as paintings of the chateau or even the original family if you can find them) light fixtures like a giant candelabras, sconces, maybe adding a bust, a mirror and nice furniture ? Just to make that white room look less bare. As the blue room I always saw a beautiful bed, and a blue crystal chandelier or maybe even an italian glass chandelier shaped in the form of a ship.
