It’s impossible not to cry with you at the moment of arrival at the square in Santiago. Congratulations on completing another Camino. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Wow, just wow!!! You did 53km amazing. I did a 42 km.section on the Norte and a 44 km to a salceda...to a great place. Those really drained me but as you said, good company, some food and a cana helps. What's next? The via de la plata?
Del norte had some long stretches, wow! And also few without water, in the first days! What’s next? Erica is crazy for Via de Plata and maybe el Mozarabe… this year we will do few shorter ones, we have a fury baby at home waiting for us… 🤣🥰
Thanks Lorenzo! It was the most emotional time I entered Santiago(Ricky talking) , it really felt like I finally arrived, rather than Santiago being just a next stage!
Para Erica - How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

@caminotellers Hey i have never done 50 and props to you guys. That was not an easy feat. Not sure if you followed but i traced your route from Leon about 1 month later. Incredible.! I had fantastic weather except at the top of the Primitivo where the weather came with fog and rain which unfortunately i was not able to see everything. I did take the Verde alternative route to the Norte which was spectacular. I was on a roll like you two and decided not to go to Santiago so i went back and took the Invierno route. FYI, not bad, first 3 day were so so then it got really nice .Long story but i met up with my sister and we walked the Portuguese central. I did 70 days and 1500 km. ❤. I am in the process of moving to Portugal. Just bought quinta. My plan for walking this year is to start the Norte but move to Olvidado. Love the less traveled.. I wish you well this year.
As Preparation for the via de la plata i took Part in a 100km walk but managed 80 of them in 18hours so i felt prepared to walk if i must 40 or 50 km stages - it gave me confident
It always melts our hearts! Actually only the French way enters through that door, other go from other sides, so every time we finish other Camino, we always do some extra walking to reach that door! 🚪😅🥰
@@caminotellers No, as it was the 40th day, and I hit crowds that downgraded the pilgrimage experience, I was 'completo,' and happily finished that Camino.. As a final day, it ws not too much - I wouldn't do it if it would not be the last day.
I remember how tired you guys were, even the day after or was this another time you did a very long last day...? 🙂 Nevermind, i saw something at the very end of the video...i know it was the time i met you guys 🙂

Gracias Jose! This time we really felt the arrival 😭😭

Impossible to do as a solo woman though (not sensible) - you need a trustworthy partner!
This year Erica will do some SOLO Caminos, and Ricky too, let’s see how it is when traveling together!

When you bent down and touched the ground I too started to cry. You are both beautiful souls that are bringing light to all. God bless. 🙏🏻

The best line ever by Ricky:
Beautiful Hodges house. He rented specially, because of the wallpaper
😂😂😂
Hahaha 🤣 it was a thing!
THIS says it all 14:57 to 15:28 !!!!
There was a little angel making some secret recording us… so we could be seen outside of our own lens, which is always different…
Emotional.. True emotion right there ..
Glad we could express it in a video… big hugs for you Paul!
Buen final!, siempre he pensado que si hay fortaleza mental entonces el camino de Santiago se disfruta mucho más 👏🏻
Si, es much más que el físico…
Ahhh lol, “she sells seashells by the seashore”! This was EPIC! Now…beard, beer, bear Ricky! 😂 Buen Camino!
It’s a pity the part of “computer says no” was cut off or my awesome British accent!
@@caminotellersTH-cam says Noooooo! 😅

I cried for you!!! Congratulations you did it!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 You started around 6:20 am. When did you finish?
💙💙💙💙 we cried watching in again! What time we arrived… not sure, but there weren’t many pilgrims on the square anymore
Great job guys. Hope to meet you twi in person sometime. Happy 2025

@caminotellers will DM you on insta
My youngest son ran 2 Marathons in one day 52 miles .. He trains for Ultra Marathons .. Your mind would give up before your body .. Train the mind ..
Soooo true! Which Ultra will he run?
@ : En Chester .. UK 🇬🇧 Abril ..
It’s very emotional entering Santiago. The sound of bagpipes makes it even more emotional 😢🎉
It is gaitan not bagpipe

This is a pro knowledge! Not many can spot the difference! Bravo 🙌
@ gracias, en español la llamamos gaita👍
Did this in Spring 2012. to avoid the growing crowds. that came after the release of The Way movie starring Martin Sheen.
It is also a good reason ;) do you think it was too much after walking entire Camino?

Hold on, you were on this video?
@ no, you told me when we met the day after 😅
I was a little a head of you that day as i just walked from O' Pedrouzo to Santiago 🙂
32 miles in one day??? 😱😱😱 That would take me 10+ hrs @ 3 mph!!! 😱😱😱✨
kilometers please
In Canada you use both???
A lot! But to be honest, before there were albergue everywhere, pilgrims used to walk 40-50km or more…
last 100k are different because of many more people present aka the spanish school crowd is here
We captured the school trip in the video…
