Ladies. Just found you. As a kiwi who has lived in London for 22 years and who hasn’t been able to come home for two years, it was a delight to listen and watch.
Thanks ladies, very much enjoyed your company from here in a very cold and windy Scotland. Great fun to share in that you don’t take the whole thing too seriously yet enjoy our craft at the same time. Look forward to your next one! ❤️
So fun to come across your podcast tonight! I’m located in Southern California, but when I browsed through in search of TH-cam knitting podcasts, I half-expected Yarns from the South to be located in Florida, Georgia, or Alabama, lol. That is, until I heard you talk - and immediately knew you were New Zealanders and from the podcast title, most likely on the South Island. In 2013 I spent almost half a year living in Christchurch and even briefly passed through Invercargill on a school holiday road trip. My Ravelry profile photo was taken at windy Slope Point, not so very far from Invercargill. My husband did a biomedical research project in a friend’s lab for 5.5 months in 2013, so we went as a family. While my husband was at the lab in the Chch Hospital, our teenage son was enrolled in the local public high school, and I explored the Chch knitting and fiber arts scene. I especially appreciated the company of the Christchurch Guild of Weavers and Spinners at their weekly sit & knit/spin gatherings at a couple area cafes. Chch was still very much in a state of recovery from the 2010-11 earthquakes, so I hope to go back someday to see how the rebuild has progressed. In the meantime, hearing your Kiwi accents tonight is music to my ears. 😊
So lovely that you found us Anna. My husband came up with the name of the podcast he was very pleased with himself! Sounds like you have some fond memories of New Zealand and the South Island. Thanks for watching 😀
OMG! Finally had time to watch your latest episode, can't believe my luck!!! Have also been struggling with a lack of knitting mojo - you've just given it back to me big time. Thank you SO much both. Please keep up your good work and sweary words,
Loved seeing y'all again!! Glad you're able to podcast together!. Congrats to the winners. I can't believe how expensive postage is to and from there. Glad y'all are doing well. It was very cold here. Now it's supposed to be 50 degrees Fahrenheit here this weekend. We still have a couple feet of snow(put picks in my Instagram). I lost my voice. 5wks today. Maybe it decided to go on holiday down where you are. Lol. Take care!!
G’day neighbour from across the ditch 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺 good to watch your podcast for 2022 🍀
G’day thanks for watching Carolyn.
