As a 68yo….”friends (and family) is greatly over-rated, if I’m being my Sigma self. As such, my circle was largest in my 20s-30’s…but gradually disappeared by my 40s. No sweat!

I keep very few friends because I am very honest self-aware in the fact that I am selfish with my time. I’m also aware of how unfair it would be to be friend people in a meaningful way knowing that I am not going to reciprocate in a manner that they want. I have no trouble dealing with my own problems in figuring things out without burdening other people and taking away from their time resources.
I'm a bit of the opposite. I offer meaningful friendship and that is rarely reciprocated. It becomes very clear very quickly when someone has no intention of being a real friend, and that's when I walk away. I have very few friends except when someone needs or wants something.

Your life becomes peaceful when you don’t have disingenuous people in your energy backward individuals make up most of society few are worth the effort.
This is 100% me but I met a woman that knows my thoughts and what I am thinking so that kind of made me feel uncomfortable because that means I felt completely safe with her but I also knew I needed to tight up my security. She’s the only one that I can be 100% me as the rest hate my honesty but I tell them you asked a question and I answered. I tell people don’t ask questions you don’t want the answer to it. I don’t sugar coat things just to make someone happy or say what they want to hear. Am me and even if I care about you and your feelings and emotions I’ll still be blunt and honest even if it will make you become emotional and lose it. So I often times will ask people if they really want me to answer the question a few times before I answer it.
Thank you. I’ve recently come across these types of sigma teachings and have found comfort in them. It’s funny when you try to share this with family and others to help them understand, they usually struggle and don’t fully embrace it. Honestly this makes perfect sense because we who know, have dealt with this misunderstanding and separation all our lives. Peace
