Man I've heard so many bad things about Egypt, (especially Cairo) but Dahab looks just my style :)
Egypt definitely ain't easy and even though Dahab is probably the chillest area, it also has its challenges. That said, I knew I had to visit Egypt in my lifetime and the historic stuff did not disappoint in the least bit!

South Sinai is absolutely fine and really peaceful, as you can see in the video. Egypt is not at war.
