I did some major shop upgrades and moved a lot of things around in the past few months. I found Jareds (see previous "a learning experience" video's) rear metal plates and his amp boxes on the shelf. I figured if he wanted them he could come by and grab them. While he was at the shop i could get a quick little update on how the system has been treating him for the last year.
You have seen this series and wonder WHY they are being combined and re-uploaded with the one year update? see below:
A lot of people watch my build video's and other multi-
video projects but more often than not, they start somewhere
in the middle of the build and don't catch all the other
video's that lead up to where they started watching. This
causes people to ask me questions that were answered or
addressed in those previous videos.
I will be picking my FAVORITE builds of all time and
combining the entire series to make one giant video for
each one. This way you can watch it all or skip through
easily to parts you want to see. To everyone who has
watched all the video series i post, THANK YOU!

Notification Gang!!!!!!!!!
💯
Keep n it real 😎
I see some people likes your car some people likes your Tahoe🤣..!
I love this shop man! It looks like heaven in there! If I had one wish! It would be to have Steve as my friend🤣🤣🤣 cause man this guy loves to help others just because he can.
Good people achieve their goals! Keep it up!
@blazed legend perfect :)
I did all this stuff for free and i can't remember the last time i charged someone to do an install....so if it ain't up to your standards or your cousin's standards, i don't know what to tell ya. He does need some more deadener, clearly haha! That is on him. I will hook him up with some more next chance i get. Jared is a cool dude i am glad he loves it and even more glad it has held up this great. A Sacramento TRUNK install is hard to keep cool! it get's hot here!
I would drive from PA out to Cali for u to do my install and Pay u whatever. At least I know it would be done by the best ever
America is lucky to have a guy like Steve, he truly is a great business owner.
thanks Greg! Appreciate it no matter how mad it makes my haters. They STAY mad but they STAY watching. Pathetic. lol
Yeaa I wish I was friends with him so I could maybe get a upgrade like this one day😂😂
This was a super nice thing to do, really great video. He seems genuinely appreciative, he has a really nice system.
@@brightonnewman3245 😅yw
This is the best way to truly help someone out. Giving to a good guy and teaching him invaluable lessons. I would prefer to see way more stuff like this on TH-cam no matter what kind of channel it is.
its thr best feeling ever. i just yesterday helped a dude out and rewired his shit that his friend did for him. every connection was electrical taped. total car fire waiting to happen. and the dude used a bad ground spot causing a feedback issue making the amp power the subs after shutting thr car off snd i fixed that too. hes much happier 🙂
Ever since i got diagnosed with cancer man i had to sell all my shit finally cancer free but too many medical issues going on but i am finally back to bassing nothing big but watching your videos sure helped inspire me man
hope you feel well soon man!!!
You pass on the knowledge to the future generations...
This is STELLAR..
You are a gentleman and a scholar..
Keep teaching...we are watching..and learning..
Steve Meade is the man, inspired me to start on my car audio journey. I'm a huge proponent for diy anything automotive and these vids help a ton. Seeing someone do what they love for a living is perfection that shows. Keep it up man!
Steve, been watching for almost 13 years now. Even though I've seen this series I can't wait to see it again. One day I will make the trip from Oklahoma to sit outside and wait for a demo.
It's astounding how great your work is in the beginning, middle, and end of any project! Not to mention your attitude, it just gives off motivation.
This was awesome to watch, you totally didn't have to help his so much or give him so much product. You didn't get frustrated with him, or down talk his lack of knowledge, he would have been unworthy to most bassheads, but you went that extra mile for a nubie ! You earned my subscription even if you took a loss helping him out brother !
What a breath of fresh air this video was. Glad there’s still good people in this world.
Steve is a “Real One”! He didn’t allow this kid to disrespect the quality subs he was blessed. Hooked him up with a custom enclosure! X’s 2 blessings. SMD FTW!!!
“Friends don’t let friends bump their mids and highs off their deck”
❤That’s an awesome statement!
I went back and watched every episode of this series and I just wanted to tell ya how great of guy that you are for doing that for that young king
He’ll remember the lessons learned and will hopefully adapt them to everything he does from now on out. He definitely has an open mind to what can be done better and then doing it.
I love the longer videos, I learn so much, its like a 3 1/2 hour lesson. Please keep doing it for the thumpers out there!
Man, it's good to be your friend Steve. :) Amazing work as always. The level of detail on the amp rack is pure art. Also learned a lot which is much appreciated.
The amp box is a work of art worthy of much recognition! Forget about sculptures, paintings, etc. Seriously
I respect you because I remember when you had nothing. And you worked your ass off to be where you are today.
I give mad respect Steve. For helping out and up and coming bass head out. Way to many of them forget they didn't know shit starting out.
As someone on my own audio journey, this was great to watch through as there's loads of do's and don'ts and tips and ideas to take away. You really hooked your bro up there, and gave him a lot of knowledge for the future.
Steve, you are AWESOME! I love the acrylic amp rack you designed and built. I was blown away with your idea of putting the gauges into the lid of the acrylic amp rack. I have been into car audio since I was 12 and I would love to have all the CNC machines you have and especially that Laguna Laser! You are truly a genius and I would love to work with you in your shop and I would just about do it for free because I know that you could teach me so much. Thank you for your wonderful videos. I will continue to watch and drool over all your ideas that you make a reality.
I legit wouldn't know how to act with an amp rack like that , absolutely amazing ...
Giving back to the Community. Awesome!!!
WOW!!! I can't imagine the amount your time the mess to equal that craftsmanship. That deserves to be facing in the car in my opinion
This is so cool! I love how you started out by giving him subs and wound up hooking him up with a truly killer setup
Bruh!! If Steve Meade puts his hands on it, its going to be awesome!
Just had to comment...as a music lover......I put headphones on just to hear this bad ass build..big respect to you...I love attention to detail and your fineness is awesome...I don't know anyone who produces this kind of systems in the UK........I watched from start to finish also........peace n love
Steve going above and beyond for that fella. What a stand up dude!
Thank you! :)
Glad Steve can show details after details, no one would actually take the time to do so. I respect this guy for everything he does. Thanks Steve! Nebraska follower!!!
Ur a good dude for hooking him up! I try to build my build clean like urs (terminals, heat shrink etc.) but it takes time saving and patience to wait and install it correctly the first time!
The craftsmanship and time that was put into this was unmatched. I know the client was very satisfied
It would be an honor and Dream to have Steve install and build the system I have. He got me into car audio 15yrs ago. He Is such a genuine man and a family man also. One day I'll meet him and one thing on my bucket list will be complete.
man those opened up amps are bad ass and not only does it look amazing but they stay cooler. nice job as always .
I remember this build. I’ve been following him on IG ever since. He’s a chill dude to talk to.
This is sick, one of the most unique amp enclosures/ rack I've ever seen on TH-cam.
thanks Rich! I appreciate that!
Thats what my self installs looked like too. No worries, lol. I grew up in the area, it was cool coincidence to stumble across the video.
I don't think people have any idea how much time this kind of builds take off camera. Kudo's to you sir.
That's a real move, lookin out for the people who look out for u
Careful. Eagles are this biggest blockers on youtube. Lol. What a great video. Learned a ton and am now super inspired to overhaul my whole system.
That amp rack is absolutely gorgeous. Steve, your design and fabrication skills are as good as it gets.
It’s cool seeing a true pro level bass head get excited about helping someone else’s entry level system. That’s 50% of this hobby is helping others. (It is for me) bc I didn’t have anyone to ever help me. I had to read books back in the day. So this is awesome. This is why I’m big time SM fan. Oh, and the other 50% of being a bass head is them low lows lol 😂
you are truely and artist when it comes to clean systems built properly man use to do installs for a living years ago, nice to see someone as ocd about it being right....as myself
I just want to move out there, live in your shop, eat tacos , and build, this is my passion, my dream
This was an absolute joy to watch ... I am so eager to get my install done ... Wish I lived out y'all's way to experience the amazing work you do !!!
I can’t believe I watched this for 3 hours... but it was worth it.
thank you bro i appreciate that!!
It really was worth it 🙏🏻
Man o man. Talk about going above and beyond. Love seeing someone give back and REALLY go all in! I remember watching the series with ya buddy Robs truck too. Good shit man. Thanks for being a decent human!
thanks for the comment! :)
I'm glad I stumbled across your channel Steve. Watching you at your craft is entertaining and very instructive. I've learned so much about big sound install from your build videos.
I must say though, my favorite thing is just how amazing your work is. It's so beautiful and has the look of a true professional who has dedicated many many years to their craft.
Keep up the great work dude! And like so many others I'll keep watching and learning!
That plexiglass box with the amps & fans ... that's a new level of audio-engineering ... big like!
I know that there's always going to be people that dislike things but, I can't see what's there not to like about these vlogs. It's mind-blowing.
This man can do basically anything when he puts his mind to it, what a legend
Your Quality of detail is Absolutely Sick and All your work is 2nd to none I would love for u to do my ride
Sick amp box..... Fabrication on a whole different level.
this video made me subscribe, im not even a third into it... this is everything i love about good content, good people doing good things!!!!
Steve took this car from a regular on Nissan Altima to a dang on work of art it's now a show car
Im hooking all my new system up new myself, and I’m changing a few things after seeing this. I’m changing out my door speakers and amping them up. Changing my main ground location.
love the idea of this. If i where someone with rescauces (spelling, im swedish) and doing work like this, i would also help my friends and co-workers like this (more then i do now). I love to help and find solutions for sound, its a big part of my life and hobby.
This man has a heart of gold!
I have had some professionals do installs for me in the past but it never looked or sounded thus good 👍
Wish I grew up as a friend. Lol
Props to you for all you do man.
Love watching your videos for Inspiration and Direction
THAT'S WHAT'S UP!!!!! Steve Meade supporting Gately Audio. I need some of that deliciousness in my Tahoe. You guys are Killing it !! SMD. Gately Audio ftw!!!
Man I watched this build from start to finish the first time but never fails on how awesome ur shit comes out n on a side note u got to be one of the best friends to have man great vid as always
That amp box is freaking nice!
That laser makes such smooth cuts in the acrylic!
That was a sick ass build all 3 hrs plus! right on steve.
The finish on that Gately box is sick!!
Yo I remember this whole series... and still going to watch all 3hrs and 11 mins and 50 secs 🤣 👍
@meade916 I love seeing these video cycle back around. I constantly find myself digging through these video and other channels to see if I can change something in my install to make it a little better or just clean it up more. Man, I've learned alot from you and sometimes too much because I'll see someone's setup and immediately want to help them improve it by saying "what would Steve do?" thanks for the opportunity to learn and broadening the horizon for some of us who have seen very few "SMD" level setups and have seen more of the "Bucket O' Bass" setups in our lifetime.
Not alot I wouldn't give to have the legend do my install. He took it way past what I thought in the beginning good work bro.
The video is so new it won’t even buffer yet! :)
Damn Steve! You hook your boy up! And he got some dope ass sneakers too! Glad people like you give back! Respect!!
Dude did a better job on wires than some shops I've seen 😂
I was just about say I wish had a homeboy like u fam u show so much love with ur ppl and with all the information u give to help upgrade there systems . That's true love fam Darrell Littlejohn of fort Wayne bassheads Indiana
Hey man I really like the way you help me out with the wiring in his box and all the tips u gave him wish I could get that help with my system
I got a bad back, I couldn't lift a Steve Mead gift. lol SM is the man.
SMD products make these videos possible. That's great
Steve I know your busy I like how you take the the time with your buddy's to make sure.... we're good
Man learning from the best is priceless and all setup is the cherry on the top. #SALUTE Meade
You do amazing work and love looking at your videos it's a sad day for me the police found my 08 Cadillac Escalade totally stripped of my music 3 skar amps 4 skar audio 12's (beasts) with a massive box ported tuned at 27 hertz I cried like a little girl when my baby was stolen and the worst part I just moved to Orlando Florida for only 3 weeks😢😢😢😢😢😢 still hurts so bad and no money to start over please when you do a new build for them warn them there's haters out there to steal what you got so they get a free come up😮😮😮😮😮😢
The Tahoe is still my favorite. It’s what made me check out his channel and love systems. Wish I had the money to get a Yukon xl like his son and put 4 18s in it
Best installer.... wished I lived in USA 🇺🇸
SMD makes it look so easy.
This build went from mild to effing wild🤙🤙
Some legendary names in this build....
Bass on
dude is plenty smart. I love to see people that keep their cars clean and in good condition. It would sadden me so much to see a setup like this go to waste. I hate seeing hacked up and trashed cars. I did that once in high school and I will never do it again
Best amp rack yet my opinion fully functional great creativity, so awesome!!!
Great things you’re doing buddy
( little constructive criticism)
don’t repeat yourself so many times
Continue to be an inspiration to everyone 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
constructive criticism rejected. thanks anyway.
I remember my first day using wire strippers too. Now, I'm an electrician at a manufacturing plant in town. 👍
We need more people like u bro
Man steve is a good dude man i wish i had a friend that would instruc me on how to install the wiring and and what type of wire to use...good job
That’s love right there hard work never goes unnoticed
This amp Boxes are sick homi, just got my 5000 amp Skar sub system this is great info about cables and wires I'm definitely getting some better ones.
Steve is a legend…. It is satisfying watching his videos 😎✌️.
That was f****** EPIC!! The attention to detail was impressive. Super nice build. If you need another ride for the next video I`ll volunteer my 2018 Soul 😉
Wow Steve you're definitely a skilled Craftsman you put a lot of care into your work like I do I've been in the skilled trades for 30 years car stereos are definitely one of my passions I'm building an 05 Escalade system I started with one P2 and now I've moved up to p3s with a 1200 watt amp now I'm thinking about maybe moving up to some t2'2 or maybe some w7s I'm not sure I'm still doing my research I love the way your mentoring this kid that's awesome man.
We need more full build videos these are dope
Awesome series. Makes me excited to do my DD build I'm still collecting parts for.
Damn I was gonna say that's way too much work for an Amp box but really that's the nicest shit iv ever seen. Idk how the guages work they look fake till its on so dope.
I sat down and literally watch this for 3 hours then my battery died 🤣🤣I wish I had money to do an installation like this
That system sounded nice especially them highs !!! He’s gonna enjoy that system !!!!
Love how at the beginning he said its probably gonna be a short one ... 3 hours later im still watching the same video lmao
Love how you take time on the small details keep up the good work bro...
Hey brother I really dig the way you help your friends out that is not as good in life as you have made it and I know you put your all in to making your life as good as it is. And you helping guys that’s less fortunate made me really appreciate you I wish more peps was like you I’m good to everybody and all I get is shit on by all. If only I peps like you as a friend cause audio is my life but life is hard and can’t afford stuff like dc audio but I do have 2 15 inch ddx scars I have to build a box for them and I have a 2000 watt rms scar clone with the dr rock amp. Much respect bro and I subscribe just because of the person you are bro thanks for having good in you sir
