Thanks for watching and asking your question! That is the Sallie Tomato Scissors and you can find it here: sallietomato.com/products/sallie-tomato-sewing-scissors Happy sewing!
I started making this…and I missed in the instructions that the finished size and the size you are supposed to cut are different. Finished size is 8”x3.5”, size you cut is “9x4.5”. No where in this video or the instructions does it say to add a 1/2” seam allowance, and I stupidly traced the pattern exactly without measuring it to see that the pattern is exactly the finished size. I cut enough for 20 eye masks to give as gifts to people…so I guess they will just have to be smaller than they are supposed to be. 🤷🏻♀️ The lesson is if you are new to sewing like I am, double check the measurements and the patterns. They always say “measure twice, cut once”, this is why. You might want to update the pattern to say “make sure to add a 1/2” seam allowance”, just a suggestion.
The 1/2" seam allowance is added as you cut your piece “9x4.5”. With the 1/2" seam allowance the finished size is 8" x 3.5" thank you for your comments.
