The depths, power and resonance of his growls give me goosebumps, and the way he alternates the cleans and growls is a signature sound which keeps me coming back. This band never disappoints.
during the Watching The Moon part my only thought was the old joke "i was lying in my bed, looking at the stars and wondering: where is my bloody roof?"
This song is so Amorphis in all the best ways. Tomi's gutturals and cleans, Esa's beautiful leads, odd time, keyboards, the emotion it brings. It's my favourite from the album Halo, I am very happy that it's also a single and that they performed it live (I started crying, not gonna lie). And I am so happy that you are loving them more with every new song, they deserve it. May I suggest a few live performances next, just to show that they bring their studio game on the stage, too. "Wrong Direction (Live @Tavastia 2021)", or from Forging the land of thousand lakes - "Alone" and "My Kantele", the last one is probably my favourite Amorphis song ever, in all its incarnations.
I use the get emotional with Amorphis and when same seem to happen to you with this song, tears were rolling on my cheeks. There in grandeur in this kind of view on art and life. Why hold back when you can be open, feel and learn. So - great reaction again!
As you seem to like finnish melodic metal, do a favor your self and dive to Sentenced. Want to hear guitar cry? Start with song called Mourn and you will hear it.
Lovely reaction! I'm the opposite in that I prefer mostly clean vocals, maybe with some growls for highlighting; this is about my limit. Anyway, thanks again!
Thanks, I loved it! ❤🙏Amorphis plays with such emotion and there is both harshness and beauty in their music that just hits my soul. Next you would perhaps listen some of their tracks with more faster tempo? There are so many!🔥 I'm also quite newbeginner Amorphisfan myself, that I am not best person to recommend a song but I personally love "Wolf" from their newst album Halo. 🎶🤩
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody unfortunately there is no official live -version, only some fan recorded with no good quality, so it would be better to listen only Official studio audio. 😅🎶🔥
I know this one's also in your "to do" list, but Hallatar - "My Mistake". Tomi did vocals on that album aswell. Also his other band Sinisthra is worth to listen
A tiny bit late, but I had to crash out early last night XD - but yaaaay, you're listening to my favorite band again!!!! *is so here for it, as always, as promised*
I had to go back to your previous reactions (I'd only seen 2), to reacquaint myself with them. "Death of a King" is still my fav so far. Gotta make a point of checking out a lot more of Amorphis! 🤘
Great music, good vocals. This was melodic and had a great mix of vocals styles. I enjoyed it and the double keyboard was cool. Have you ever seen the movie "Pale Rider" with Clint Eastwood? If not you should check it out sometime.
I do the same thing with the moon, I always need to go out and look for her whenever it's clear. Crows are my animal, when I'm in a "deep place", like you said, there's always one or more that are close by watching me. Of course, I live in the PNW now, and there's crows everywhere, so maybe nothing special about that lol. In music, I really love the mix of harsh and clean vocals; I should get more into Amorphis, I've listened to a couple albums but never really dug into their discography.
Cool reaction! This has to be one of my favorite Amorphis songs. So after all these Finnish metal band rabbit holes, have you already considered visiting the "mothership"? 😉
dude, as you are an Opeth fan, I 100% sure you would love also the old school Amorphis, as the do have many connections in sound, melody and vibe. And if you dive that way, you should also definitely check out some criminally underrated Edge of Sanity.
Again great one, dude! Amorphis was my stepping stone into melodic death metal. They have very diverse catalog from early day's death metal to progressive rock and to melodeath and again more into progressive style. The band's name comes from Amorphous (without a clearly defined shape or form), so that really makes sense if you dive deeper into their discography. I have my favorites of course and I want to recommend a live version one of them: Amorphis - Towards And Against - Forging a Land of Thousand Lakes th-cam.com/video/_i93Rtj_s6Ip/w-d-xo.htmls://th-cam.com/video/_i93Rtj_s6I/w-d-xo.html

Dude, I don't know anyone who has the vocal combo like Tomi! maybe Michael from Opeth
I'm so happy to see you fall in love with what is one or my favourite metal bands of all time
Dude they are soooooo good!
during the Watching The Moon part my only thought was the old joke "i was lying in my bed, looking at the stars and wondering: where is my bloody roof?"
hahaha you crack me up😂

Loved the style of the video and the clean vocals. Got a little worried about what was going to happen to the horse.
hahaha like in Neverending Story
Cool reaction! This has to be one of my favorite Amorphis songs. So after all these Finnish metal band rabbit holes, have you already considered visiting the "mothership"? 😉
3 MUST bands
Children of bodom
Dark tranquility

Like i say, if tommy sings the coca cola advertising song, i would buy the album.
Nice reaction.
