Been waiting to hear a demo where the overdrive isnt at 110% to see how it sounds more chilled. Groove 1 and 6 Perfect mate! I like the drive but also wanted to hear it mellower, seems a really versatile box.
Me too. I have one on the way because I do like nasty distorted sounds, but I was on the fence because it seemed like such a one trick pony. This seems much more versatile than I thought.
@@NunyaB1s Totally. You could even use it to drive some nice downtempo ambient stuff. The sounds whether they have overdrive or not are just so clear. I’d imagine they’d cut through any mix nicely.
I got one of these a month ago and was having a bit of a hard time getting results I enjoyed, and beginning to second guess my choice....but watching (listening!) to this, I'm going to hang in there because it's clearly capable of beautiful stuff. Thanks for the grooves!

Fantastic demo. Your video convinced me to buy this LXR-02 drum synth. Sounds similar to JoMox Alphabase, but far more affordable and more compact. I get very inspired by having this in my studio. The sliders for each voice are terrific. The fm parameters are incredible. Easy to operate, fast fun!
Groove 6 finished and I thought 'Hey, I was listening to that!', all the time it was reminding me of something (Renixes of Wide Open by the Chemical brother). I'm waiting for the Taiga and MonoPoly to be delivered, I thought I was done for a while, but this will compliment my set up so well. Going to have to wait a month or 2.
Hey, kinda dumb question, but can you change the individual note length (1/4, 1/8, 1/16th note) on a track within the same pattern? So, for example, each step in the kick is a 1/4 note but the HH steps are 1/16th notes?
Digitakt is drum sampler / sequencer so it can sound like anything you sample. It’s also great at mangling / distorting those samples with overdrive, bit reduction, etc. It also sequences other gear and can be used as a synth and comes with a good range of drum kits. LXR is probably easier to get filthy sounds out of the box and has hardware faders which are handy. Can’t go wrong with either really, but as Rick Engel said, Digitakt does a lot more. I have a Digitakt but still want an LXR which is obviously also great at mangling and is arguably more suited to outright filth.
@@fattybumflake Yes Digitakt is versatile but this is more a pure drum machine of a modern style. I do not know songs by Spotify witch play such drums in commerce sounds but I think in deep Techno areas
