@siorganism this is a whole year late but basically, Japanese do not have any hairpins that they wear with Kimonos. They would wear a type of hair clip with assorted flowers to match the Kinono. Also the entirety of the cherry blossom set is inaccurate. The skirt has too much hip when a Kimono is supposed to be boxy and straight. The format of the front and back of Kimono does not look like one in terms of the belt, collar, or otherwise. And the sleeved aren’t that of a Kimono either. The shoes would be worn with specific socks instead with a slit between the big toe and other toes. And also the masc toggle looks the exact same as the fem version which is not how the Kimono is supposed to look. Male Kimonos would have an open jacket of sorts on top of the Kimono and have a different front and back. There would have a different too and bottom too. So it would be separated as bodice, skirt, and jacket if in a royale high format. Where the fem toggle would be the whole kimono itself as one.
Ngl, even tho some people think the set is ugly, in my opinion it's amazing! I really like the Japanese culture, so this set surprised me, principally the hand fan, it's one of my dream items now-

I think the shawl wasnt released because they wouldn't find a way to make it work with animations or else they would have to also make an animation for those animations
It also got replaced with a nicer model which is the lace snowflake stole scarf I think , if you compare them they are both on your arms and rest nicely on them, so Royal high can add the scarf thing back and model it more so it can be realized

The set also received TONS of backlash due to it being release during Lunar New Year which is a Chinese holiday but the devs released a Japanese set, making a lot of people angry since its basically telling everyone the devs didn't do their research and thought "its asian, they'll never notice"
That was actually the first set i completed, but then my account got hacked and i made a new one and rejoined royale high a few weeks ago ,now technically my first complete set is the SE set
I remember so many ppl getting crazy over it and wanting it so bad, now, not alot of people really want the set anymore, but honestly I think the set is rlly cute!
When they were added in I checked the shop and I fell in love with the fan even tho I was really poor in rh and I grinded alot just for the 24,000 fan-

When friend Doesn’t play royale high anymore but when I tell her when this set goes on sale she WILL Go on royale high and grind for that thing on the second I tell her
a fact from 2022 the shawl ( if im correct ) is similar to the ww dark sister hat ( a toggle that i dont remember lol) so we kinda actually have it! even thought the ww dark sister hat's shawl is transparent but it (kinda ?) looks the same ( srry abt my english , it is not my first language)

So for example if you don’t put any torso and back accessories (not including the bow) just head accessories it will still be respectful?

The pins are chinese, and the "kimono" is a yukata, yukata is used for summer festivals
