Man I just went through a similar experience with my 2020 790 Adventure. I bought it brand new and within the first 500 miles it started leaking oil from somewhere at the top of the engine. A small leak that didn’t prevent me from riding the bike, but still frustrating considering it was a brand new $13K motorcycle. About a year later I decide to take it to the dealer to get it fixed under warranty. It ended up needing a new valve cover gasket and it took 5 MONTHS to get the parts from KTM. The worst part is that the bike sat at the dealer the entire time because they had to take it apart to diagnose the issue. I agree with you though, KTM makes unbelievable motorcycles, but hopefully you never need to do anything outside of routine maintenance on them.
This is why I watch yam noobs channel. If yam noob doesn't get Spite involved I may not watch his channel much. Spite was really the main personality of the channel

Get a sportster 48 or a dyna, you’re living a false sense of self with that supermoto. Young padawan move paying 750 to insurance for a new ignition that cost 35 bucks and a 20 min install…. Could have bought a frame on eBay for 1300. Insurance is for bad crashes, everything else diy.

I started watching YN in 2021, the same time I started riding. I felt it was the best info at the time, but I always kinda thought that Yam was a bit opinionated (D) but funny. I admit that over time I grew to like him a lot, and the entire channel Josh, Courtney…all were great. But really? That last video was such a turn off…indulgent, awkward, I don’t know if Yam was bragging about letting you go cause he’s so successful? I don’t know? He even put it in the title (let him go). He should have made you a partner…like a substantial partner (35% or more). Spite If you were supportive or on board with that last video, fine, but I was not and many of YOUR fans were NOT. I’m here now because I have a feeling Yam did you wrong. I noticed you never once said to Yam thanks for the opportunity, it’s been great working here, none of that. Your heart was with your fans only, not with Yam. BEST OF LUCK
Spite was always the best thing about Yam's channel...I don't watch much of Yam's stuff these days. He generally puts out good info and can be funny, but sometimes rubs me the wrong way. And yeah, the "letting him go" video was really weird and awkward.
I've been a fan of yours for a long time and I wanted to say I am sorry to hear the news. I think you have the skills and charisma to be another Ari or Zack in the motorcycle space. Keep it up and don't be afraid to dream big.
@@random_eskimo_in_the_rockies Yeah a few months ago YN fired Spite because he wanted to take over as full time host of YN again. A lot of people felt (me included) that it wasn't handled very well and caused me to unsubscribe from YN. I am glad that Spite is doing so well now! I think in the end it may have been a good thing and now Spite has room to grow.
@@zachn6844 Thanks. I'm now subbed to Spite. I liked some of YN's content, but never enough to really watch all of his stuff. I'll watch Spite for a bit.
I work at the KTM Frame Factory in Austria. When i would have known your problem a little bit earlier then i could have helped you😅 We are manufacturing the 690 SMCR Frames (Is it a 76903001....?)
I bought one of those Roadlok's after you recommended it on "another channel" and I love it. It was pricey, but certainly worth it for the peace of mind.
Glad you made this. Wanted to get the SMCR or the Husqvarna 701, but questioned the fuel tank position after seeing many videos of them catching on fire. Think I’ll stick with my DRZ. Does everything I want for being a city hooligan.
Adding to the support for you brother! Coming from riding dirt, I have always enjoyed KTMs stuff. That said, glad to know these details that can save me heartache and cash down the road. I had been looking at. Duke 790 or 890 as a next bike.
After watching the YN video fiasco i came over and subscribed. Dude, you gave great reviews, not a bunch of opinionated bs, but direct answers to likes and dislikes. I hope you continue and grow that here. Just a suggestion for a 1st merchandise shirt “Do it for Spite!” I wear that with pride. God bless you and what ever you did for YN come back 10 fold for yourself.
Oh man i can feel your frustration. I was just talking to a friend about this exact supermoto this evening. We both own KTMs and still ride it. Ironically my RC has been in the shop for 8 months as well cause my engine gearings blew up while riding back in November 2021.. luckily my warranty covered the damage. Anyhoo I've been watching you from the other channel since you started there but count on it that i will be watching here religiously and so will many others for sure. P.S. to my frustration with KTM. I bought myself another bike instead to fill in the void that it left behind for 8 months while waiting for the parts arrive.. It only took me 1 month of following up on my parts to eventually give up and buy another bike. Fastforward to August 2022. I just got my KTM RC back 1 month ago after i did a full on Karen as well on the General Manager. Suddenly 2 weeks after my parts arrived and it got fixed. I love my KTM it looks great and performs well! But the aftersales service is just so bad. You're right. I wouldn't recommend the KTM to anyone out of good conscience.
Sorry to hear that man1 Legitimate question: Does KTM pause your warranty while it's in the shop, or are they trying to run it out so the next repair isn't on their dime?
I share your pain w ktm when it comes to the amount of time it takes to get parts for my 390 Duke . I ordered two washers and it took 3 weeks to get those washers. A rear tire two a month and a half. A kick stand is ordered and am currently two weeks and waiting. Partly a dealer issue too. Not as bad as your situation but man. Their parts take FOR EVER to arrive to my dealer. I’ve had this bike for a little over one year and I’ve had more issues than I’d care to elaborate on when it comes to the engine and my dash just turning off mid ride . A little over a year and my kickstand rusted and cracked right in the middle. It wouldn’t be too big an issue if this bike wasn’t my daily. A wee disappointed 😐. All that said Spite, great video man.
Sorry to see that you are no longer with YN, you two had a blast at times. So first thing i did was subscribe to your channel too, hoping you are successful real quick. I have been posting for a couple of years and am now at the dizzy height of 63 subscribers, i cannot begin to tell you how my life has changed 😂 Looking forward to more content, best of luck on your journey
Top tip. 1. Don’t use the steering lock when the bike is outside your house. 2. Get rid of the fixed disc lock. If the thief manages to cut through your locked chain then there is nothing to indicate that a disc lock is fitted so the thief will drop it as he tries to ride off and then it will be trashed again. The bike is insured so unless that crap cuts your insurance premiums take it off.
Not seeing how having your bike vandalized twice during a pandemic is the fault of the bike or KTM for that matter. I feel the negative opinions targeted to the KTM SMC in this video are off base.. I’m a current owner of this bike and it’s worth every penny I paid..
Every second sentence you hear from a motorcycle shop is a lie. If you are at the mercy of a really really shitty one, you are even more screwed. If a shop gets something like in your case, a really problematic or complicated repair, or parts you need which are not available, they will most likely delay the repair on purpose, because with other things they can make more and quicker money. Sometimes they wait so long that the owner will pick his broken bike up and will never come back. Which is best case for the shop and worse case for the owner.
Have you seen yammies new video.... in tight short shorts with a skateboarding intro.......... I’m gonna guess “creative differences” when yams handed him tight shorts.
100% agree with proceeding with caution when buying a KTM right now. Been waiting 7 months for my duke to be fixed. Didn't even have my duke for a year and the entire engine needed to be replaced. I get that isn't a quick fix but 7 months is a joke. And to say my experience with KTM and the dealership wasn't a pleasant one is a huge understatement
KTM 2 stroke TPI, Transfer Port Injection bikes have a lot of problems since introduced in 2019. Many law suites apparently over engines poorly running and seizing. My 2022 seized 2 times within 12 minutes of each other. KTM did finally put a brand new motor and oil injection pump in it under warranty after the 2nd seizure. The result being it finally ran correctly. It never ran properly from day one. Never raced, all Motorex lubes used, completely stock.
Keep up the 690 videos, its my dreambike and I just bought one myself! And i love to see someone else with the same love for this bike as me! Get some sick decals! I ordered the rottweiler mirrors as soon as i could find them, looks sick. Cheers
Just this morning, I have watched your channel grow from 36 thousand to 37 +!!! We are here to help Spite! Congratulations!! It wont' be long until you are celebrating your millionth subscriber video!
I bought a a new KTM 1190 ADVR back in 2014. Within 2 months, the ignition failed and I had to wait 7 months to get a new one. The dealer ended up putting in a used one in till I could get another from KTM. Love the bikes, but know what you're buying. KTMs are the idea idea, but the smart idea. I love a 701e and am looking at a KTM 350 so obviously I choose fun. The 701/690 platform is soo much fun.
Do you not understand how bad supply chain shortages were? Also cheap frame is good for those of us real boys who break there toys constantly and have to replace everything constantly.
Depends how strong you are. I can break 14mm bolts at will with regular hand wrenches. I cant count how many 5/8 grade 8 bolts I have broken over the years working on trucks replacing cross member bolts. So a ham fisted know it all can easily strip the threads in an aluminum engine case
@@holmes1956O Very true. I knew that when I wrote that comment there were loads of exceptions. When I said "hand tightening," I meant "finger tightening." Even then, with Aluminum, one must be ultra careful. Also, very fine pitch threading can also strip out super easily. When we share our mistakes, we make each other stronger, thanks for the reply! :D
Dang Spite, Congratulations I subscribed yesterday at 7.7k. Just wanted to check in this morning and Dang now 35k subs. I feel you Spite. 09 HD Springer. Frontend was mowed down by a SUV. I didn't think they would get parts 'cuz, ya know, SPRINGER front end. Then the front fender had to be hand painted. I didn't lose eight months like yourself but did lose six months. I am glad I got the Springer back but have found meself hesitant to take it out anymore.

And I am sure one of your subs can guide you into setting up a patreon account. You be out of the corner soon enough! Start thinking about a more appropriate channel name already. Replacing the frame would be a very long lead time repair on ANY motorcycle these days. The moral of this story is to park your bike in a safe place (garage, shed, inside your house, back yard out of sight under a cover, etc etc). Supermotos are targets for thieves.
Really depends on where you live in the US, but everything has gotten worse since Covid hit. Five years ago we didn't lock our front doors. Now we have EUFY security cameras to watch everything. People get desperate.
subbed to your channel today after the yammie news. really appreciated your content over there, but i’m really looking forward to more SMCR content as a kyle KTM fanboi
Here's something that could help AND have you be fully independent: Tl/dr: dynojet auto tune. Be your own tuner. It'll also scratch that geeky tweak head itch. Long story: I bought a 2016 daytona 675r (used) after I sold my street triple 765rs for ergos + better suspension/handling package. The bike came with an akra full titanium system + pcv. Now the akra comes, loaded from factory, with a wideband o2 bung and they supply an adapter that let's you mount your stock o2 sensor. So I had that going for a few days, let the ecu do its adaptation thing as best as it could. The pcv had a hindle full system map loaded which was Bleh. There were quite a few holes/floods in the fuelling, especially in the lower revs. Mind you, there are 0 dynos or dyno tuners in the area so I'm on my own with the tuning. The ecu was flashed with the factory arrow full system map so at least it was in the "safe" ballpark. After a week or so of running this setup I scored a used auto tune (people seem to want to sell theirs once their base map has been built for some reason) in really good shape, and I had a dongle for the stock o2 sensor. So I installed that and my mechanic helped me with a brilliant and super cheap solution for blocking off the SAI (secondary air injection), which I'd disabled in the ecu flash but that just kept the valves open all the time. I set up the AFR target table, dialled in the idling fuelling using the sensor data. And within 10 minutes of my first ride the real time "auto tune" was REALLY doing its magic. I could feel the sluggish throttle spots getting cleaned up and when I got home, I saw that it had actually CUT a bunch of fuel from all over the place and added fuel in the 4-6k range. Which was a revelation. You've to be a bit methodical about the throttle inputs you give it, and I found 5th or 6th gear at low speeds were amazing to iron out all the low rev stuff because it would move through the cells slower, and give the sensor+auto tune a better chance of nailing that tps/rpm range. EBay is your friend. And installation is super duper easy. Get a positap+longer power cable+crimps etc to plug the power into the rear tail light. Warning: the wideband sensor has a GIGANTIC connecter with a short wire, so some zip tie magic will need to be done to get it mounted cleanly and safely. My mechanic was a star and did a phenomenal install. I'm sure you'll ace it with your skills.
Exact same thing happened to me about 5 months ago, steering lock broken, disc lock broken and found by police an hour later due to Monimoto. Still waiting on a yoke as I have an aprilia and it’s NEVER in stock and has been in back order for 5 months. PS. This is UKA1BOI soon to be A2 boi if you’re wondering where I’ve been
Funnest bike I have ever owned. KTM part shortage is not tied to the SMC-R though... I have been waiting on crash parts for 4 1/2 months and counting for my 890 Adventure R.
Nothing that happened to you had anything to do with KTM. Leaving your bike outside in an apartment complex is not bad luck; you know how that story always ends. You had bad luck via crackhead. You had bad luck via covid. Your dealer was slow with the assembly. The actual frame is the only thing that was KTM's responsibility. They got that to you in little more than a couple months. A frame. On a limited run bike. Throughout the Covid panic, KTM supply chain was absolutely incomparable to the Japanese. I bought a Tenere in 2020 when they first came out and I still have parts for that on back order. I have a friend who has had throttle cables for a PW50 on backorder for two years. We were both Yamaha employees(front of the line)! Listen, I commiserate with you fully on the theft attempts. I have lost several bikes that way., And I don't even blame you for losing some enthusiasm for the SMC. Instead of blaming KTM, I think the right thing to do now is to order a Duke 890, rent a place with a garage, and go do that track day!
i once crashed a duke 390 and the damage wasn't so bad, it needed a gas tank, a radiator, maybe handlebars and new plastics but that was about it, my insurance told me "we can fix your bike, but we just got another duke that needs some parts your bike could donate, are you ok wit us totalling your motorcycle and giving you the money" and i was like, sure, it sounds like a great deal, i took that money, went straight back to the KTM dealer and got me an RC390 without pulling a single penny out of my pocket. i've been getting my bikes insured with them ever since because even though it was just a less comfortable version of the same bike getting a new toy was far more pleasant than just waiting to see how long it was going to take for me to get my old toy back.
I own a KTM 790 Duke and its the most fun bike I've owned. So far I've had a coolant hose leak that was only fixed with Samco racing hoses, then a few months after that my thermostat housing seal went, it didn't cost much but for how good the quality and attention to detail is on other aspects of the bike. I just don't understand how they let themselves down with the most basic of components.
I recently totaled my 2020 zx6r (hit deer at 60mph). Thank God for its frame, the bike got totaled out and thanks to the whacky second hand market they paid out more than I did on the sticker price two years ago.
So you wouldn't buy a KTM690 because somebody might try to steal it???????????? That sucks, but doesn't seem to be a reason not to buy one Should have been a 5 minute video
I rented a KTM Duke 790 in Frankfurt to ride south to Switzerland on the Autobahn reaching 230 km/hr. When I returned to Korea, I went to a KTM dealership to write a check to buy me one but decided to do more research. Turns out they launched the 890 a year after the 790. The 790 had a bidirectional quickshifter. The more expensive 890R didn't, WTF?!?! Found out there are some unresolved problems which turned me away from buying it. Loved the KTM experience but as a prospective owner it helps to have a community making noise so the OEM addresses the issues owners have identified thru real life use.
THE KTM to have is the 500EXC......but I live in Central Oz and we have a lot of dirt to stuff around on. At the moment I have a DRZ400 and an older RM250. Almost bought a road bike, a 2015-ish CR650F. Looking forward to your reviews of anything on two wheels.
Chromoly is weldable if you have a skilled local welding shop. So skip the frame replacement and get it welded. It might be ugly where the powdercoat needed to be removed but at least you avoid the KTM circus.
Hey Spite. What is the name of the guy who tuned the suspension on this episode? I have a 2007 FLHR kitted out with Legend REVO Arc front and rear. I know front is not adjustable and I did what I could with the rear but would enjoy another opinion/professional perspective.
A lot of americans got a lot of KTM dealer issues. I acutally belive that it is just a the problem of the location and not the brand. Here in switzerland you will get you frame changed and Service done in 2-3 weeks.
the thing about KTM is that their stuff is priced the way it is because of Quality Control and testing. You're not just paying for the part or piece in question. You're also paying for the hours spent testing, refining, and re-testing all the different versions of the final product that you're getting.
It seemed to me that ever since I got this bike I kept having bad lucks one after another. I had a DRZ400SM before this. I spent more time going back and forth between dealer which is 110 miles away than ride it. 2 days after getting the bike, I notice the left shroud is closer to the fork than the right one. I found the radiator brackets are bent. I sent pictures to the dealer and called and they wanted me to ride 2 hours back to them so they could "look at it" then another 2 hours to ride back. So I did but I felt the long trip was completely unnecessary since I had pictures. They didn't even have pick up option available. After they looked at it, they claimed it was damaged during shipment and ordered parts from KTM. I was mainly a cosmetic damage but I bought a brand new bike so even though it was rideable it still triggered my OCD. In the meantime I wanted to get my first oil change done. After draining the oil, as I was screwing back my oil filter cap on the left side, I broke the screw by over tightening it. the other half was stuck in the thread and I didn't wanna attempt to extract it myself and cause even more damage. I called the dealer but like I said before, they didn't have pick up option so I had to figure out a way to take it there. I couldn't ride it because obviously there's no oil in it. I rented an Uhaul pickup and trailer for 24 hours which cost me close to $400 and some more money for ratchet strap. This was my first time using ratchet to tie down a bike and it took me some time to figure out. I drop the bike off. Over a month has gone by and I still don't get a call from them. I call them and talk to them in a passive aggressive manner and they say they're still waiting for the radiator to arrive. 2 days later they say it's fixed and I could pick it up. I get a sigh of relief and get an Uber next day there to pick it up. Uber cost me another $200. I finally ride the bike home 110 miles and on my way I notice the engine overheat light keeps coming up when I stop at lights and I could feel the engine over heating. At this point I can't ride it back to the dealer because they'll be closed when I go back. So my only option is to go home and take it to the dealer again some other day to fix it. I tried to turn it off at lights to prevent it from overheating when riding home. At high speed the light goes away because the air cools it down. I call the dealer the next morning and ride it back 2 hours again. They say they forgot to plug in the radiator fan plug when installing the new radiator. They fix the issue and I ride it back. Now the radiator and oil filter cap is finally fixed and I could finally move on to installing mods. I make an appointment with another dealer which is "motorcycle mall" in New Jersey to install a preload adjuster. After a week I get the part installed for $380 and I provide them the part I bought. As soon as I receive it, I notice a few deep scratches on the beautiful trellis frame which looked like someone hammered on it. I told the employees immediately and they took pictures of it and said they'd call me after they review before pictures of it. Luckily I had a before picture of it from the day before. Weeks go by no call from the dealer. I had called them multiple times since then and every time they say the manager will call me back but it never happens. The employees talk in a rude manner saying "it's still rideable" to which I reply, "if I smacked one of your bikes in the show room with a hammer and said "it's still rideable" would you just let me walk away without any consequences? I've heard horror stories about that dealer from someone else in my area who also rides a 690. They serviced his engine and put water instead of coolant. I still haven't heard back from the manager. Days later I notice a slow leak on my rear tire. I didn't wanna deal with the other 2 dealers so I took it to a 3rd dealer. They keep the bike in their shop for a month only to tell me the rim band for rear tire still hasn't arrived. I sent another $200 to pick up the bike that hasn't even been fixed. I ordered the bike in May and now riding season is over and I probably got 2 or 3 days of riding out of it the whole summer.
Here's my take away. Don't lock the steering. You'd be better off if the bike was stolen. Then you'd be out your $750 deductible and you'd be riding a new bike.
Sounds like how my dad blew the head gasket and stretched the head bolts on his Husqvarna FE 701 (same bike as the 690 SMCR, different name) after 4800km and a session of beating the thous in the twisties. That was the easy part to fix with head studs and a new gasket but when putting the ECU back in, 2 of the plugs are identical and so he plugged them in the wrong way and fried it, took him 6 months to find an ECU and it wasn't even a new one, was off his buddies wrecked one cause they're wasn't any available in the Oceania
I like your Corner! I think that parts have been an issue with KTM especially after "the bug" but, seem to be getting better. I have 3 KTM dealers in town. 1 is decent, 1 are giant dildos and 1 is one if the best dealers I have dealt with in 4 decades of riding. The dealer makes the difference. My SMC R is a gas and I would not trade "Lilith" (its name) for anything. So stupid fun! But, she doesn't do everything so, I accidentally bought an 890 Duke R.....Lilith was lonely and needed a friend.
“StoryTime with Spite and the Old Man in the Sea”!!!! I feel the pain; wish I had seen this earlier about KTM/Covid. Ordered a 390Duke in Nov21 - didn’t take delivery until May 22. Upon Delivery Immediately ordered a 890R Duke which then arrived with crate damage and still waiting for parts now in Sept22…. At least the 390 is one of the funnest bikes of all time but I want my R!!!! 😭
that's pretty cool, we have almost the same bikes. i've got a husq 701 sm and a ktm 390adv. i mean to be fair they do very well in their specific use cases
Hm interesting that your bike has a bit of a wobble. My 701 SM has been rock solid in that aspect. So much so that I've even commented numerous times to myself of how stable it is. I'm about 6 feet and 200 lbs though, so not quite as big as you, but still bigger than many folks. Wonder how much of difference weight and size make in that regard. I keep my front forks on the "regular" damping setting after having played with the softer and harder settings.
Be careful. I strongly think that the painted out lines on the highway are to standardise the length of the line. The cops will be able to judge speed from camera footage without a speedo. It makes sense, a lot of cars are getting dash cams and standardising the lines gives a clear picture of the speed resulting in an accident. Don't just blur the speedo, blur the road lines also.
The lesson is ,take the entire front of the biker apart . Take it to the local welder. Have them pop the cracks in the frame with some welding rod, for about fifty bucks Sand it, paint it and put the bike back together. It should not be that way but dammit it is. It also helps if you put a lockable bike cover on the bike. I wish they made these out of kevlar. A heavy duty fabric cover slows down the thief and exposes to others what they are doing. By it's nature, a secured motorcycle cover slows down theft. Also being able to run a cable lock to some fixed pole or fence also slows down thieves. They don't like to have to work to steal a motorcycle. A long time ago, I had a chain I put on my KZ550 when I parked it for the night. I wrapped the chain around my back rim and through the steel rail on the front porch of my apartment. One night , I was sitting in my living room of my apartment and heard the chain go 'CHING!". I went out and found the chain tight as hell and the bike moved forward about a foot. The dirtbag had found out, I don't make theft easy. I slept in the living room for the next couple of nights but not too well. Bastard turned out to be a 'friend' of mine too. Ex friend let's say. I have always owned things people want to steal. I have a 5x8 trailer that I chain both tires though the slots in the wheels through the leaf springs to keep them from disappearing one night and a chain I wrap around a steel pole in back yard to keep the trailer from being stolen. Judging by the three times that chain has moved super tight , three thieves have found out ,this is going nowhere for free. This is all defeatable but anything is. The question is, do they want to use noisy tools when the homeowner is armed. Anything you own , you have to think like a thief and then do everything to make a thief look somewhere else to steal. We used to hang horse thiefs. I understand why.
Very disappointing regarding your experience, but thanks for sharing. Sadly, this seems to be all too common regardless of manufacture/insurance/vehicle.
MOTORCYCLE VIDEOS ARE BACK BABY! Stay tuned for more on the SMCR in the next one.
Bro I am so excited for this!! I have the 22 SMCR and there is so little content on these bikes. ESPECIALLY IN THE U.S.

08:02 false neutrals between 1 and 2? This is where neutral is supposed to be :D
I've been a fan of yours for a long time and I wanted to say I am sorry to hear the news. I think you have the skills and charisma to be another Ari or Zack in the motorcycle space. Keep it up and don't be afraid to dream big.
What news? I'm only an occasional YN watcher, but I've liked Spite in the vids I've seen. What's the story here? YN and Spite have a fallout?
@@random_eskimo_in_the_rockies Yeah a few months ago YN fired Spite because he wanted to take over as full time host of YN again. A lot of people felt (me included) that it wasn't handled very well and caused me to unsubscribe from YN. I am glad that Spite is doing so well now! I think in the end it may have been a good thing and now Spite has room to grow.
@@zachn6844 Thanks. I'm now subbed to Spite. I liked some of YN's content, but never enough to really watch all of his stuff. I'll watch Spite for a bit.

Yammie noob content is awful anyway.
I work at the KTM Frame Factory in Austria.
When i would have known your problem a little bit earlier then i could have helped you😅 We are manufacturing the 690 SMCR Frames
(Is it a 76903001....?)
So happy to see this bike back! I have a 22 SMCR and there is so little content on these bikes especially in the U.S.
Nice to see you on your own channel Spite!
Finally, we need some more good Supermoto vids!
I bought one of those Roadlok's after you recommended it on "another channel" and I love it. It was pricey, but certainly worth it for the peace of mind.
That seat doesn't look wide enough for a big man.
You are a natural Spite. Your channel is taking off like a rocket.
Keep up the good work.
As a KTM rider my thoughts may be biased but my KTM dealership is top notch. The service and parts department are great.
This must be the fastest a channel has ever grown in only hours... Congratulations mate!!!!👍🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I did the same. Go Spite!

ME TOO
Oh man i can feel your frustration.
Oh man, I just dropped $AUD27K on a 2020 KTM 1290 Super Adventure R. Pick it up in a week. I don't regret my decision.
I somehow found myself here commenting on yet another one of your videos….
I’m definitely loving all the support I’ve been seeing here.
I have been posting for a couple of years and am now at the dizzy height of 63 subscribers, i cannot begin to tell you how my life has changed 😂
Looking forward to more content, best of luck on your journey
It's not KTM the problem it's the dealer. Some dealers can do miracles because they have a good relationship with the manufacturer. Change dealer.
Top tip.
Spite I’m glad your making content on your own. Nice to see perception that’s not only coming from a sport bike perspective.
Though I live in the other side of the world I always will be a part of your channel.
Love from Bangladesh.
I really wish you a great journey.

Spite, I think I’ve lost track of the bikes you own. A video running through your cycles and why you chose them would be interesting.
i think he only has this an the KLR at the moment
Every second sentence you hear from a motorcycle shop is a lie. If you are at the mercy of a really really shitty one, you are even more screwed. If a shop gets something like in your case, a really problematic or complicated repair, or parts you need which are not available, they will most likely delay the repair on purpose, because with other things they can make more and quicker money. Sometimes they wait so long that the owner will pick his broken bike up and will never come back. Which is best case for the shop and worse case for the owner.
Sad to see the separation from Yammie but I've always loved you in his videos, keep it up my man looks like I have even more content to keep up with!

Good for you bro, glad to see your channel booming....really wish all the best for you and you definetly have the skills to go as far as you want.....

Got a lot of similar feelings about my Duc
Hand tightening should not fully strip out threads. Thank you for that story, it says a lot. Keep up the great posts!

Here's something that could help AND have you be fully independent:
Tl/dr: dynojet auto tune. Be your own tuner. It'll also scratch that geeky tweak head itch.
Long story:
I bought a 2016 daytona 675r (used) after I sold my street triple 765rs for ergos + better suspension/handling package.
I like spite storytime. Keep up the good work
You da man spite, looking forward to the coming videos. More supermoto stuff!!
At the big cycle shop here in beaverton, KTM was all they really had in stock... they had cbr bikes, but no cb or mt bikes
Going back and watching old content. Great stuff.
I LOVED "Story Time with Uncle Spite".
(Sorry about the time it took to get your bike back, though.)

Keep it up Spite!!!! I’ll keep watching!!!!
Chromoly is weldable if you have a skilled local welding shop. So skip the frame replacement and get it welded. It might be ugly where the powdercoat needed to be removed but at least you avoid the KTM circus.
So what your saying is, don't leave a ktm outside
Happy you finnnnnnaally got your bike back!!! I know what's it like to have a bike in the shop for over 6 months .. ugghhhhhh..
the thing about KTM is that their stuff is priced the way it is because of Quality Control and testing. You're not just paying for the part or piece in question. You're also paying for the hours spent testing, refining, and re-testing all the different versions of the final product that you're getting.
@@Username-2 YMMV
KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas. Good luck with them.
Had the same experience at tjs. Been in motorcycling all my life and that was the worst dealership experience I have ever had,,,, by far.

Looking forward to you growing your channel brother.
New subscriber, after the YN news today.
You rock!
The lesson is ,take the entire front of the biker apart .
Take it to the local welder.
Have them pop the cracks in the frame with some welding rod, for about fifty bucks
Sand it, paint it and put the bike back together.
