Last month I lost my dog to cancer, I originally found her on the side of a highway and she was nothing but a skeleton. I took her home, better till she was fat you gave her the love she deserved. She was with me for 8 years and got me through some really dark times, the day they told me she had a tumor broke me. Even after the surgery that was supposed to help relax towards the end of the year she only lasted about 3 weeks and eventually died in my arms when I was trying to get her to the car. Even after she was gone I can still see her around the house in the corner of my eyes in the spots she would usually be. But I am happy to say the healing has begun, I sold some nice pieces in my collection, including my memory toys Panda Chase and bloody Pandora, so I could get a new pup and I just got back from a 12-hour road trip to rescue a 8-month-old pup from a abusive situation that a animal services contact call me about in Kentucky. I'm happy to say that pup is starting to adjust well but is still terrified of everything and both pup are getting along well with each other. Their names are Mesa (9 week Australian Shepherd) and Octavia (8 month German Shepherd) and both are going to be very well look after.
My condolences!!! I lost one of my dogs in a very similar manner. And she came into my life very much the same way. Due to unforeseen events I was not able to say my goodbyes. And since then I haven’t been able to get another pet. She had gotten me through some dark, dark times. Sometimes I feel like I still hear her pitter patter on the wood floors. So I understand where you’re coming from. It’s not easy. I’ve lost other loved ones, but I was closest to her. Hopefully you can find love and companionship in a new fur baby.

We took in a street cat who showed up on our deck last summer and he was fucked up, face ripped open, busted toes, burnt feet, missing almost all of his teeth, infested with fleas ticks and ear mites. Got him all fixed up and fat and happy alongside our three other cats. His ears have been all fucked up with gross debris and yeast infections so a couple of weeks ago we took him in to have them surgically cleaned out. The doctor found a mass near his eardrum, they took a piece for biopsy, and this past Tuesday at his follow up they told me he has cancer in his ear canal. He's already been through so much and now he's got to go through another pretty major surgery where they're going to remove his entire ear. I've been dealing with all of this by myself while my girl is on a cross country trip and it hasn't been easy. See, I'm already chronically depressed, I've been in bed for most of the past four years because of chronic spinal pain, I had surgery almost exactly one year ago and that didn't help, I have no income and I spend almost all of my savings on toys because it's one of the only pleasures I have left in my shitty life
But I live a very comfortable life with people who give a shit and I try to keep that in mind. It's not always easy, but yeah man I don't go to sleep at night worrying about bombs being dropped on my house
Really needed this now, I just feel so lost right now and I don't know personally what to do with my life and see no possible future in which I'll be happy in. It sucks, it really does but I am doing my best to live on and trying to change things as much as possible.
thank you for keeping it real Ninja. I'm recently divorced, and I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the rest of my own life. Its hard when you're with someone for 16 years and then they decided one day they didn't want you and served you papers. but you're right. I'm thankful i have family to fall back on. She doesn't have anyone left but her sister. it just sucks because i have a daughter, and because i'm a man i don't get to keep my child. The courts still give primary custody to the women. So i just get her one month out of the summer and 2 holiday weekends. it just kills me that my now ex-wife decided to listen to her girlfriends and some co-workers than to just talk to me. instead i get served divorce papers with barely any time to respond and "irreconcilable differences" as the cause.
These are really positive man. Keep it up. It gets dark out there and we fight to survive each week. The problem is that survival alone isn't victory. We need that 3 part perspective. Where have we been, where are we now, and where are we going next?
Well said man! I used to be an admin for a Transformers Facebook group and those guys can be extremely toxic. Just as you said, life is short and today I prefer to enjoy my family and my hobby without dealing with sad and sick guys who, for lack of loved ones, leave their entire soul in companies that care little or nothing about them.
Years ago I was in a transformers group and left because of them and now I don’t bother with groups as no one’s got time for negative people in hobbies that I enjoy to chill with. So I get it.
The hardest thing I’m currently going through is coming to terms of powerlessness and the over all lack of control I have of most things in my life. I was raised in a pretty unstable family environment and I was expected to do a lot. Currently, I’m downgrading to a moped cause it’s the only thing I can afford at the moment and finding a closer job is difficult.. and my family has been torn apart because of the actions of a monster I looked up to for the longest. I also have massive insecurity issues and am extremely self conscious. With all that being said. I think the most important thing I can do is value what I have right now, work to improve myself, understanding my feelings, and above all else loving myself.
I've lost everything. I have to start over. I've lost my smile. I feel so fucking hopeless. But if I ask for help, I'm the bad guy. So I'm in my head everyday. 24/7.
I’ve been there too. It does get better, it will take some time, I’m not at 100, but they have gotten better more within me above anything else. I still haven’t found my smile yet either. I hope you find the healing sooner rather than later. Keep ya head up! You can do this.

I haven’t been able to tell anyone in my family about her death because she was an old girlfriend and my wife didn’t like her. I’m usually very open about my feelings but this is the first time (until now) that I haven’t shared any details or my feelings. Thank you for creating a space where we can feel safe in telling what’s happening in our lives outside of action figures.
Whenever I'm feeling depressed or down, I smoke a J and do a toy shoot or work on a dio. Works every time. I'm that friend that's there when it's convenient for everybody else so i stick to myself. It's been a struggle lately. Thank you for making this video. 🙏🏻

I have a habit of comparing myself to others so seeing people around my age achieving the goals I have or doing the things I wanted to do makes me feel like I’m falling behind in life. Can’t help but feel like my life sucks because I haven’t achieved anything great but because of your keep it real videos, I am now back to reality. I realized that I am still alive and I’m happy with the things I currently have. I shouldn’t spend my time comparing myself to people because there is no point of that. In the end, I just need to be more grateful and appreciate life.

when you have your first TED talk I wanna be in the front row brother... Amazingly put for real, sometimes people project onto others how they feel on the inside. because they feel that they're being attacked. but, when you take a real look at it, it's just an insecurity that we're either burying or don't wanna acknowledge. others and I noticed this recently tend to do the tribal mentally where they gang up on the opposing force, it's said but as you said as long as you know what truly matters, then the bullshit just becomes white noise. I'm mostly in a good place now adays, I have had some major hardships years ago that still tug at me from time to time. My hardest part is being me again. There is a part of me that is often afraid of letting myself loose like I used to, which is very strange as when I did it was often good, but that trip to the abyss was overwhelming to my soul and has left scars. I'll figure it out eventually but I know I never want to go back to that point.
Thanks for doing these videos Ninja! Mental health is something we really need to keep on top of or we'll crumble under the weight. The hardest thing I've been going through for the last 20 odd years is my mum's battle with her mental heath which has gotten much worse over the last few years. I genuinely don't remember how many times over the last year alone that I've had to get an ambulance out cause she's taken another over dose because she can't deal with life anymore and no matter how old you are it still hurts when your mum says that you and the rest of your family aren't a good enough reason to want to live anymore. I never used to share what I was going though with anyone because I was brought up with the mentality that men have to bear the weight on their own but now I have a good support system that allow me to vent when times get to ruff and I cannot tell you how much that's helped me get through this which is why I love these videos and this community that you've built on your TH-cam. So if your like I was and just try to carry the load all by yourself please do yourself a favour and talk to someone about it before you crumble too.

Tbh ninja for a min I stopped watching these vids cause they do hit hard…….I went thru some losses of a close friend/brother and a 24 yr old cousin that was a good kid…….and I’ve been in a haze of emotions I can’t shake off I clicked on this one and u right others have it worse and I have a wife and I’m guardian to our niece (who calls me dad) and I can’t stay this way ty for reminding me that I’m not alone , and it’s true as a man we only see that we can’t be weak and that it’s not ok to feel…….. but it is
gotta keep up that positive mindset and keep moving forward because life is tough and stuff happens outside of your control. What you can control is how you react and act when something outside of your controll happens, like when I went blind. Did I fall into a pit of depression? yup for about 4 years but I found a way to help myself out of that pit while helping others out of it. too few of us seem to care about that stuff here on youtube. I don't know if I'm finally starting to show signs of maturity (god, I hope not), but I'm becoming more and more incensed over just how many people in this space want to go to war over some plastic. Case in point, after I watched this video I watched a replay of a live stream where one of the hosts mentioned he wasn't sure if he was going to back the Cantina Haslab because it wasn't worth it to him unless it hit all the stretch goals, and one of the other hosts immediately jumped down his throat, telling him that it was because of people like him that the stretch goals didn't get reached. I'm not going to name and shame the channel because it was an unfortunate moment in an otherwise fun podcast, but it's the number one reason why I hate when companies like Hasbro do crowd funding. People act like it's your fault they're not going to get their toy if you express the opinion that you don't want something or are on the fence about it. That's the most first world problem I can imagine: "Not enough people bought this luxury item I wanted, so it's their fault. In no way is it Hasbro's fault for making a product that not enough people wanted." And this sort of thing isn't new. 10-15 years ago Mattel's Masters of the Universe Classics were sold as a subscription service, and the last few waves were losing steam and didn't look like they'd get funded. They barely ended up scraping by. People were blaming collectors who cherry picked the line, ignoring that places like BBTS had to actually buy subscriptions so people could cherry pick the figures they want, and ignoring the fact that this was the natural course for a toy line that had already released it's most important characters.
I appreciate these videos now and then. They sure put things into perspective seemingly every time Life does its thing. The Mythic Legion thing blew my mind so I went and got my 1st ML figure (Thraice Wraithhailer) and I loved it! Everything about it was amazing and incredible including the packaging which i felt was innovative so you don't destroy it upon opening. While I can't say enough about how much I love it, the articulation sucks. I'm sorry but it does compared to say Savage Crucible a brand new player for more than half the cost. Savage Crucible (I picked up 3) is possibly the Best all around figure I've seen in years. It is almost as superior at Action Force (Valaverse) and it blows DASS away except for one thing. The feet! They won't stand up because they went way overboard in articulation in that one area. Isn't it amazing how being too good limits something totally simple? Having said that I ordered the rest of Wave One. Why? I LIKED them that much to overlook the small fault. So bring it on haters and trolls and all you who don't share my opinion. This was MY Life experience (not yours) and it happened.

I disagree with some of the stuff you say, but folks shouldn't be mad over toys. That's just crazy and those folks need help. Lol... One more of the things I disagree with is this video. Your other ones, I felt, were on point, but this almost feeds into the "men shouldn't show emotions" territory. Just because what a person is going through isn't as egregious as death, doesn't mean that what they're going through doesn't hurt like hell. Like me 2 youngest kids are beautiful and healthy, but I haven't seen them in months! That ish still hurts like hell. It's a long, hard ass battle because Alameda County is a damn joke. Then you make two follow up videos and mention it in at least one other video but say others are sensitive? Seems you need this drama to give yourself some validation. I hope you can recognize but if you're stuck in the negativity then you won't be able to. I actually took it easy on legions compared to other brands I was critical towards and some not all legions fans still acted like it was the end of their world. I didn't say anyone who responded was sensitive but yes clearly the people who responded and claimed all I did was hate was sensitive. My 4 year degree in college was for psychology and sociology I think I know the signs of "victim mentally". Like I said watch majority of the content and maybe your views may change and maybe they won't which is fine but as I stated if the behavior is "sad" from your view I would recommend not watching.

His ears have been all fucked up with gross debris and yeast infections so a couple of weeks ago we took him in to have them surgically cleaned out. The doctor found a mass near his eardrum, they took a piece for biopsy, and this past Tuesday at his follow up they told me he has cancer in his ear canal. He's already been through so much and now he's got to go through another pretty major surgery where they're going to remove his entire ear. I've been dealing with all of this by myself while my girl is on a cross country trip and it hasn't been easy. See, I'm already chronically depressed, I've been in bed for most of the past four years because of chronic spinal pain, I had surgery almost exactly one year ago and that didn't help, I have no income and I spend almost all of my savings on toys because it's one of the only pleasures I have left in my shitty life
...and I'm about to turn 53 fuckin years old
But I live a very comfortable life with people who give a shit and I try to keep that in mind. It's not always easy, but yeah man I don't go to sleep at night worrying about bombs being dropped on my house

I'm recently divorced, and I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the rest of my own life. Its hard when you're with someone for 16 years and then they decided one day they didn't want you and served you papers.
but you're right. I'm thankful i have family to fall back on. She doesn't have anyone left but her sister. it just sucks because i have a daughter, and because i'm a man i don't get to keep my child. The courts still give primary custody to the women. So i just get her one month out of the summer and 2 holiday weekends.
it just kills me that my now ex-wife decided to listen to her girlfriends and some co-workers than to just talk to me. instead i get served divorce papers with barely any time to respond and "irreconcilable differences" as the cause.

Well said man! I used to be an admin for a Transformers Facebook group and those guys can be extremely toxic. Just as you said, life is short and today I prefer to enjoy my family and my hobby without dealing with sad and sick guys who, for lack of loved ones, leave their entire soul in companies that care little or nothing about them.
Years ago I was in a transformers group and left because of them and now I don’t bother with groups as no one’s got time for negative people in hobbies that I enjoy to chill with. So I get it.
The hardest thing I’m currently going through is coming to terms of powerlessness and the over all lack of control I have of most things in my life. I was raised in a pretty unstable family environment and I was expected to do a lot.
Currently, I’m downgrading to a moped cause it’s the only thing I can afford at the moment and finding a closer job is difficult.. and my family has been torn apart because of the actions of a monster I looked up to for the longest.
I also have massive insecurity issues and am extremely self conscious.
With all that being said. I think the most important thing I can do is value what I have right now, work to improve myself, understanding my feelings, and above all else loving myself.

I haven’t been able to tell anyone in my family about her death because she was an old girlfriend and my wife didn’t like her. I’m usually very open about my feelings but this is the first time (until now) that I haven’t shared any details or my feelings. Thank you for creating a space where we can feel safe in telling what’s happening in our lives outside of action figures.
Whenever I'm feeling depressed or down, I smoke a J and do a toy shoot or work on a dio. Works every time. I'm that friend that's there when it's convenient for everybody else so i stick to myself. It's been a struggle lately. Thank you for making this video. 🙏🏻

I have a habit of comparing myself to others so seeing people around my age achieving the goals I have or doing the things I wanted to do makes me feel like I’m falling behind in life. Can’t help but feel like my life sucks because I haven’t achieved anything great but because of your keep it real videos, I am now back to reality. I realized that I am still alive and I’m happy with the things I currently have. I shouldn’t spend my time comparing myself to people because there is no point of that. In the end, I just need to be more grateful and appreciate life.

Amazingly put for real, sometimes people project onto others how they feel on the inside. because they feel that they're being attacked. but, when you take a real look at it, it's just an insecurity that we're either burying or don't wanna acknowledge. others and I noticed this recently tend to do the tribal mentally where they gang up on the opposing force, it's said but as you said as long as you know what truly matters, then the bullshit just becomes white noise. I'm mostly in a good place now adays, I have had some major hardships years ago that still tug at me from time to time. My hardest part is being me again. There is a part of me that is often afraid of letting myself loose like I used to, which is very strange as when I did it was often good, but that trip to the abyss was overwhelming to my soul and has left scars. I'll figure it out eventually but I know I never want to go back to that point.

The hardest thing I've been going through for the last 20 odd years is my mum's battle with her mental heath which has gotten much worse over the last few years. I genuinely don't remember how many times over the last year alone that I've had to get an ambulance out cause she's taken another over dose because she can't deal with life anymore and no matter how old you are it still hurts when your mum says that you and the rest of your family aren't a good enough reason to want to live anymore.
I never used to share what I was going though with anyone because I was brought up with the mentality that men have to bear the weight on their own but now I have a good support system that allow me to vent when times get to ruff and I cannot tell you how much that's helped me get through this which is why I love these videos and this community that you've built on your TH-cam. So if your like I was and just try to carry the load all by yourself please do yourself a favour and talk to someone about it before you crumble too.

Tbh ninja for a min I stopped watching these vids cause they do hit hard…….I went thru some losses of a close friend/brother and a 24 yr old cousin that was a good kid…….and I’ve been in a haze of emotions I can’t shake off I clicked on this one and u right others have it worse and I have a wife and I’m guardian to our niece (who calls me dad) and I can’t stay this way ty for reminding me that I’m not alone , and it’s true as a man we only see that we can’t be weak and that it’s not ok to feel…….. but it is
gotta keep up that positive mindset and keep moving forward because life is tough and stuff happens outside of your control. What you can control is how you react and act when something outside of your controll happens, like when I went blind. Did I fall into a pit of depression? yup for about 4 years but I found a way to help myself out of that pit while helping others out of it. too few of us seem to care about that stuff here on youtube. I agree 100% about the legions fanbase being toxic. I honestly was falling into that toxic mindset while in the cabal and that is what made me realize I had to leave. I still have legions and like what I have, but cant consider myself a "fan" any longer.

Efff the positivity police. Theyve been runnin shit since old chatroom days. I hate trolls but lets not praise something that has flaws n faults.
I don't know if I'm finally starting to show signs of maturity (god, I hope not), but I'm becoming more and more incensed over just how many people in this space want to go to war over some plastic.
Case in point, after I watched this video I watched a replay of a live stream where one of the hosts mentioned he wasn't sure if he was going to back the Cantina Haslab because it wasn't worth it to him unless it hit all the stretch goals, and one of the other hosts immediately jumped down his throat, telling him that it was because of people like him that the stretch goals didn't get reached.
I'm not going to name and shame the channel because it was an unfortunate moment in an otherwise fun podcast, but it's the number one reason why I hate when companies like Hasbro do crowd funding. People act like it's your fault they're not going to get their toy if you express the opinion that you don't want something or are on the fence about it. That's the most first world problem I can imagine: "Not enough people bought this luxury item I wanted, so it's their fault. In no way is it Hasbro's fault for making a product that not enough people wanted."
And this sort of thing isn't new. 10-15 years ago Mattel's Masters of the Universe Classics were sold as a subscription service, and the last few waves were losing steam and didn't look like they'd get funded. They barely ended up scraping by. People were blaming collectors who cherry picked the line, ignoring that places like BBTS had to actually buy subscriptions so people could cherry pick the figures they want, and ignoring the fact that this was the natural course for a toy line that had already released it's most important characters.
I appreciate these videos now and then. They sure put things into perspective seemingly every time Life does its thing. The Mythic Legion thing blew my mind so I went and got my 1st ML figure (Thraice Wraithhailer) and I loved it! Everything about it was amazing and incredible including the packaging which i felt was innovative so you don't destroy it upon opening. While I can't say enough about how much I love it, the articulation sucks. I'm sorry but it does compared to say Savage Crucible a brand new player for more than half the cost. Savage Crucible (I picked up 3) is possibly the Best all around figure I've seen in years. It is almost as superior at Action Force (Valaverse) and it blows DASS away except for one thing. The feet! They won't stand up because they went way overboard in articulation in that one area. Isn't it amazing how being too good limits something totally simple? Having said that I ordered the rest of Wave One. Why? I LIKED them that much to overlook the small fault. So bring it on haters and trolls and all you who don't share my opinion. This was MY Life experience (not yours) and it happened.

One more of the things I disagree with is this video. Your other ones, I felt, were on point, but this almost feeds into the "men shouldn't show emotions" territory. Just because what a person is going through isn't as egregious as death, doesn't mean that what they're going through doesn't hurt like hell. Like me 2 youngest kids are beautiful and healthy, but I haven't seen them in months! That ish still hurts like hell. It's a long, hard ass battle because Alameda County is a damn joke. Even my "case manager" rarely returns my calls.

Honestly, it's kind of sad to see your behavior. You say you only gave an opinion even though it was wrapped in negativity and trying to shame people. Anyone who responded you say is being sensitive and toxic and is attacking you just for your opinion. Then you make two follow up videos and mention it in at least one other video but say others are sensitive? Seems you need this drama to give yourself some validation. I hope you can recognize but if you're stuck in the negativity then you won't be able to.

My 4 year degree in college was for psychology and sociology I think I know the signs of "victim mentally". Like I said watch majority of the content and maybe your views may change and maybe they won't which is fine but as I stated if the behavior is "sad" from your view I would recommend not watching.
