    I love the story about the Cantonese taxi driver saying that food and language connect people... people of Chinese origin often love talking about food...

    I really agree with Lindie mentions how multilingual families often mix together languages (like in my home where we mix Cantonese and English) - multilingualism really is relevant for a lot of people even though in our public lives we might only speak languages like English or the dominant language of our country

    I think that I'll aim for stability in a language before I move onto the next language. I really don't enjoy it when I'm at a decent intermediate language and I try to study another language. I quickly notice that the level in my main language seems to drop.

      If u really were at decent intermediate lvl that wouldnt happen,no hate ,i experienced it myself too
