Geez man, use the points to playing the game that you know to your advantage... At least when I play Pikmin 3, I pause the game when I don't know what I'm going to do so I'm not wondering around aimlessly, and attack the opposing creatures where they're weak instead of just charge all Pikmin in my group at them.

Theres something both satisfying and stressful to watch someone play a game when they are new and inefficient at it. Ive played through this game several times and I love it very much(Both the Switch version and the WiiU version, and it was my first time playing a Pikmin game). You get to watch them learn new things, maybe even learn new things yourself! The little celebrations when they solve a puzzle. The relatability of figuring it all out. But at the same time you get frustrated when things are done poorly. Like I keep wanting to be like "You gotta switch types!" "The color tablets need to match the Pikmin color!" "Get that other color to carry the bug so you spawn more of the type you need!" "Attack from the other side!" "Turn the camera and look where you're going!" But those little moments of frustration are worth it when they overcome it. And most of those complaints are early game learning lessons, I'm only an hour in. I'm just enjoying the peaceful feeling of seeing a great game being played, while I work on sadly more important things. Or, try to anyway :D
When I first played this game on the Wii U, I praised Nintendo for “creating” a language for Alph, Brittany and Charlie to speak, since they are from another planet. And today, while watching this walkthrough, I finally realized that they are actually speaking Japanese. I was the golden level of stupid
although i've only played the third one, i've watched the first and second countless times and i just didn't say anything cause i didn't wanna be mean but oh god it's painful especially the bomb rock that made yellows extinct
I have enjoyed these game attle achievements I completed the game on normal. We are working on the side story achievements. I'm sure Nintendo can keep on doing Pikmin games. This series is extraordinary.

You were doing it wrong for the first boss. You gotta lob the rock pickmin at it. If you charge, they send all the pickmin and that can get them killed
4 years ago I got a WII U for Christmas with pikmin 3 and Mario kart 8 fast forward 3 years and I got a switch for Christmas another year later here I am saving up for the game that was my childhood
I’m 4 hours 14 minutes in and I getting frustrated because the he won’t kill the lava monster with the red pikimin and all the yellow pikimin have died! Sooo sad! Really diggin the game play!

This walkthrough is good but there are many really dumb moments like trying to throw non rock pikmin on crystals and thinking that they can pick up data.

Pikman 1 is what inspired me to become a decent gamer. I dicked around and lost and it made me sad, so I did it again and got the good ending. After that its 100% or meme runs. There is no in between .

I felt the same way. I came here to have a good time, but every time he left like 20 pikmin to die, I would always get all tens and squeeze all my muscles and bite my lip. When I played the game, I would be devastated if I left 10 pikmin to die.
What you don’t realize when you see videos of players clearing the game in 3 hours, is that it’s not their first play-through. Those guys have played it through a dozen times until they got good enough to clear it that fast.
Man, how do you do to make the data files appear automatically in your screen right after you get it? In my gameplay, I had to read each one manually on the KopPad.
Want me to write an entire essay on what exactly you did wrong (or what you were doing wrong)? Edit: HAHA, too bad I'm writing it anyway! As a quick note, I will not fault you for any of your mistakes as you're only doing this for the fans out there curious about the title. Now let's begin shall we? *Basics* The game in its whole is a learning process (like most games) where you learn the ropes of what you are doing. Over time, you learn to adjust to the swiftly changing gameplay, improving your strategy for some cases. But I need to cover some things I clearly spotted wrong with what was happening. Of course there's a lot to discuss on what you did and what can be improved. However, I must make this one fact known, I am not at all making fun of or insulting your playstyle, everyone does something that works for them so let's just brush that to the side while I continue. *Pikmin* Small, plant-based creatures that inhabit the surface of the world, each possesses a trait unique to them alone. Red pikmin are fire retardant and excel in combat, so it should be a given to use them for a fight... But instead, YOU CHOSE TO THROW A FREAKING BOMB AT A SLUG!!! *Ahem* sorry, I got carried away. Another factor with pikmin is population, so it is important that you prioritize the lowest number of pikmin. As I saw, you did a fair job of prioritizing low populations, but you still had a massive excess of reds, rocks and pinks. If I were in your place, after beating a boss or large enemy, I would count my numbers, then favor the lower pikmin number (exhibit A: Yellow). *Fauna* Basically every creature you encounter in this game has some taste for pikmin, especially bulborbs. The first thing I noticed when you enter combat later on is that you utilize the "Charge" function way too often. An all out assault is not going to cut it in every circumstance, sometimes it is necessary to lock on and throw pikmin at your enemies (Exhibit B: the Crawmad). Speaking of said enemy, that was one reason why you did not bother dealing with the second one of those that you encountered. Your strategy of charging did not pay off but instead left you crippled at its powerful grasp. *Combat* When it comes to self defense, the pikmin around you are your only line of defense. Red pikmin are fireproof and are great fighters (see label above), rock pikmin are dense and can shatter "crystal" surfaces, yellow pikmin are shock proof and can be thrown higher in addition, winged pikmin are born for dog fights but lack punch where other's have it, and blue pikmin can attack while swimming. Know what your enemy does, and adjust accordingly, you are sure to win many battles following that advice. For that crawmad I mentioned, the notes said in quote "attack its eyes to flip it over, the belly is its weakest point". Basically saying, throw pikmin at the eyes (which you did), then throw pikmin onto its soft under-belly (which you just couldn't figure out). *Bosses* Large enemies needed for progression through the game, here I will outline issues I saw with the later bosses. Scorn Maestro; it should be no surprise that wings are your friend here, but I saw that you were attempting to save your pikmin by continuously blowing that whistle of yours, what should have been done was targeting the enemies holding your pikmin, then throwing other pikmin to save them (but then again it was like 4 so it didn't matter that they died). Mireclops; As big as it is, it certainly is less intimidating than it looks, but as a note, charges aren't everything (see above), it is better sometimes to throw pikmin than charge head first which is why your wings were attacking but the blues were going right under it's soft point. Plasm Wraith; A lengthy boss that requires on-point actions to handle, as suggested in the note, "attack the blobs as it separates", well I'll give you the benefit of the doubt as it didn't appear that you could target the mass on the ground, you really only focused on the cubes it produced, and speaking of, I should point out that you take a minute or so to get into a pattern, the only cube you ever attacked mainly was with element water because you recognized water since you had a surplus of blues with you at said time, the square that you never even attempted was the crystal because you saw it as an immediate threat when your rocks only broke part of it, but as you wore it down you finally took on the situation and hazard of things around you, and in the end you prevailed! *Final Judgement* Your playthrough was only to completion, not 100%, but sometimes that's just what some people want, simple yet straight to the point. Your playthrough also sported no deaths which proves you are careful in what you do. Your playthrough was by no means perfect, and there was definitely room for improvement, but as I said before this, "I will not fault you on your mistakes as you are only doing this for the fans out there that are curious about the title". Your playthrough was slightly sloppy due to your lack of adjustability when faced with a task. Your playthrough was a little lengthy due to confusion and hesitation, but then again we all have our moments don't we? *Overall Rating* A solid 8/10 A for effort, C for effectiveness, B for efficiency, and D for homicide because let's be honest, that one part where you threw the bomb and killed about 73% of your pikmin was kinda funny! But enough of that, here's one last note just for you. "Needs improvement, but you did it"!

Lesven had won the day! She soon learned that Julieanne was upset at not being invited to the destination, and that's way she'd made so much mischief. But Lesven explained that the travel rides are open to everyone. Nothing to get fail.

I don’t mind the countdown to the end of the day. But I hate that you can lose stray Pikmin if they don’t reach the onion in time. Not just “lose” but you actually have to watch them being eaten alive! 🥺 That’s why I never liked Pikmin 1. The reason I loved Pikmin 2 is because, as long as YOU got back in time, you could “call” all the stray ones from far and wide, and those Pikmin would be magically transported to the onion, safe and sound. So the only Pikmin you would lose are the ones that were killed by enemies or if you left the planet without calling your stray Pikmin back. Pikmin 3 does let you call your stray Pikmin, but if they’re stuck somewhere or too far away, they won’t make it in time, and still be left behind and... well... eaten. Nothing more heartbreaking than looking out the window during liftoff and seeing your poor little Pikmin stranded on the ground being eaten alive. 😭
It was kinda hard to get used to the gameplay, especially when this is your time playing Pikmin, but as far as you're getting the hang of it, it's very fun😼👍👍👍👍
I need help I finally got PIKMIN today and I noticed that my controls are weird like I to move forward and backwards I have to really press hard on my joystick for them to move. Side to side is completely ok but forward and backwards is kinda hard. It’s that normal? Idk if it’s just me but it’s weird
This game would have at least been playable, and SOMEWHAT enjoyable, even though they for no good reason took out camera zoom and actual treasure hunting. But the fact that they removed second-stick manual Pikmin swarm control....it makes the gameplay a hollow and frustrating shell of what Pikmin 1 and 2 were. Pikmin is NOT supposed to just be a "pick guys up and throw them at things" experience. That was like half of the gameplay/strategy, not 100% of it. This game was such a massive disappointment, and I had been so stoked for it. I would love to believe they'll fix those things and make 4 more like 2, as it should be. But I really kinda doubt they will.

When I got to the ending I actually cried because of the Pikmin, it's like you bonded with them so well and it's hard to let go.

Pikman 1 is what inspired me to become a decent gamer. I dicked around and lost and it made me sad, so I did it again and got the good ending. After that its 100% or meme runs. There is no in between .

Watching this playthrough is irritating me, he literally massacred half of his pikmin, and he can't do basic math
I felt the same way. I came here to have a good time, but every time he left like 20 pikmin to die, I would always get all tens and squeeze all my muscles and bite my lip.
When I played the game, I would be devastated if I left 10 pikmin to die.

Well, it depends on how precisely your exploration goes on.
Someone who only played 3 hours wanted to finish it asap in my opinion.
What you don’t realize when you see videos of players clearing the game in 3 hours, is that it’s not their first play-through. Those guys have played it through a dozen times until they got good enough to clear it that fast.

As a quick note, I will not fault you for any of your mistakes as you're only doing this for the fans out there curious about the title. Now let's begin shall we?
*Basics*
The game in its whole is a learning process (like most games) where you learn the ropes of what you are doing. Over time, you learn to adjust to the swiftly changing gameplay, improving your strategy for some cases. But I need to cover some things I clearly spotted wrong with what was happening. Of course there's a lot to discuss on what you did and what can be improved. However, I must make this one fact known, I am not at all making fun of or insulting your playstyle, everyone does something that works for them so let's just brush that to the side while I continue.
*Pikmin*
Small, plant-based creatures that inhabit the surface of the world, each possesses a trait unique to them alone. Red pikmin are fire retardant and excel in combat, so it should be a given to use them for a fight... But instead, YOU CHOSE TO THROW A FREAKING BOMB AT A SLUG!!! *Ahem* sorry, I got carried away. Another factor with pikmin is population, so it is important that you prioritize the lowest number of pikmin. As I saw, you did a fair job of prioritizing low populations, but you still had a massive excess of reds, rocks and pinks. If I were in your place, after beating a boss or large enemy, I would count my numbers, then favor the lower pikmin number (exhibit A: Yellow).
*Fauna*
Basically every creature you encounter in this game has some taste for pikmin, especially bulborbs. The first thing I noticed when you enter combat later on is that you utilize the "Charge" function way too often. An all out assault is not going to cut it in every circumstance, sometimes it is necessary to lock on and throw pikmin at your enemies (Exhibit B: the Crawmad). Speaking of said enemy, that was one reason why you did not bother dealing with the second one of those that you encountered. Your strategy of charging did not pay off but instead left you crippled at its powerful grasp.
*Combat*
When it comes to self defense, the pikmin around you are your only line of defense. Red pikmin are fireproof and are great fighters (see label above), rock pikmin are dense and can shatter "crystal" surfaces, yellow pikmin are shock proof and can be thrown higher in addition, winged pikmin are born for dog fights but lack punch where other's have it, and blue pikmin can attack while swimming. Know what your enemy does, and adjust accordingly, you are sure to win many battles following that advice. For that crawmad I mentioned, the notes said in quote "attack its eyes to flip it over, the belly is its weakest point". Basically saying, throw pikmin at the eyes (which you did), then throw pikmin onto its soft under-belly (which you just couldn't figure out).
*Bosses*
Large enemies needed for progression through the game, here I will outline issues I saw with the later bosses. Scorn Maestro; it should be no surprise that wings are your friend here, but I saw that you were attempting to save your pikmin by continuously blowing that whistle of yours, what should have been done was targeting the enemies holding your pikmin, then throwing other pikmin to save them (but then again it was like 4 so it didn't matter that they died). Mireclops; As big as it is, it certainly is less intimidating than it looks, but as a note, charges aren't everything (see above), it is better sometimes to throw pikmin than charge head first which is why your wings were attacking but the blues were going right under it's soft point. Plasm Wraith; A lengthy boss that requires on-point actions to handle, as suggested in the note, "attack the blobs as it separates", well I'll give you the benefit of the doubt as it didn't appear that you could target the mass on the ground, you really only focused on the cubes it produced, and speaking of, I should point out that you take a minute or so to get into a pattern, the only cube you ever attacked mainly was with element water because you recognized water since you had a surplus of blues with you at said time, the square that you never even attempted was the crystal because you saw it as an immediate threat when your rocks only broke part of it, but as you wore it down you finally took on the situation and hazard of things around you, and in the end you prevailed!
*Final Judgement*
Your playthrough was only to completion, not 100%, but sometimes that's just what some people want, simple yet straight to the point. Your playthrough also sported no deaths which proves you are careful in what you do. Your playthrough was by no means perfect, and there was definitely room for improvement, but as I said before this, "I will not fault you on your mistakes as you are only doing this for the fans out there that are curious about the title". Your playthrough was slightly sloppy due to your lack of adjustability when faced with a task. Your playthrough was a little lengthy due to confusion and hesitation, but then again we all have our moments don't we?
*Overall Rating*
A solid 8/10
A for effort, C for effectiveness, B for efficiency, and D for homicide because let's be honest, that one part where you threw the bomb and killed about 73% of your pikmin was kinda funny! But enough of that, here's one last note just for you.

I don’t mind the countdown to the end of the day. But I hate that you can lose stray Pikmin if they don’t reach the onion in time. Not just “lose” but you actually have to watch them being eaten alive! 🥺 That’s why I never liked Pikmin 1.
The reason I loved Pikmin 2 is because, as long as YOU got back in time, you could “call” all the stray ones from far and wide, and those Pikmin would be magically transported to the onion, safe and sound.
So the only Pikmin you would lose are the ones that were killed by enemies or if you left the planet without calling your stray Pikmin back.
Pikmin 3 does let you call your stray Pikmin, but if they’re stuck somewhere or too far away, they won’t make it in time, and still be left behind and... well... eaten. Nothing more heartbreaking than looking out the window during liftoff and seeing your poor little Pikmin stranded on the ground being eaten alive. 😭

I need help I finally got PIKMIN today and I noticed that my controls are weird like I to move forward and backwards I have to really press hard on my joystick for them to move. This game would have at least been playable, and SOMEWHAT enjoyable, even though they for no good reason took out camera zoom and actual treasure hunting. But the fact that they removed second-stick manual Pikmin swarm control....it makes the gameplay a hollow and frustrating shell of what Pikmin 1 and 2 were. Pikmin is NOT supposed to just be a "pick guys up and throw them at things" experience. That was like half of the gameplay/strategy, not 100% of it. This game was such a massive disappointment, and I had been so stoked for it.
I would love to believe they'll fix those things and make 4 more like 2, as it should be. But I really kinda doubt they will.
