Nice i got a Yazoo YR60 but mine has a big briggs on it. I noticed some came with a wisconsin twin though. I also have 7 of these motors sitting on a pallet so maybe i can do a swap lol

I am not an engineer, but on 2-cylinders of any make, I never quite "got" the rationale behind the 540+180 firing sequence - it's not that much different from a 1-lunger? Both this sequence and the even-firing one do seem to work well, though, and that's the test which matters.
The reason they did that is because one company sued them because the THD engine had such bad vibration (both pistons going up and down at same time) they claimed that vibration was damaging their tractors. So they made this engine with Pistons going up and down 180 degrees apart and it cut vibration way down. But it is true it is not quite as efficient and they changed it back to the other way (THD II) but with different counter weights to lower vibration and still keep up with lower emission requirements.
Does yours have a lever that says "LS H" I'm assuming it's low, start and high? I'm at the end of my rope as all these engine startup videos never show the procedure to start the engine lol. I started it a year ago but honestly forgot how

THDs have the 360+360 firing sequence for a power stroke every turn of the crank; TJDs have the 540+180 'uneven' firing sequence. This is why TJDs sound a little bit like a Harley V-twin.

I've had tjd powered buzz saw for a decade. Mine has a single plug wire that splits at the head. Both cylinders fire simultaneously.
They fire 360 degrees apart actually one is on the compression stroke when the other is on the exhaust stroke

thd has a different fingering order and a positive ground. my tjd has electric start

If it has spark that is properly timed, and fuel, it’s likely a compression (read: valve) problem.
