Running a shop in vanilla kenshi isn't developed enough but there are various mods that make npcs wealthier i recommend using them if you wanted to run a shop in kenshi

The only problem I’ve come across in Kenshi when it comes to running your own shop is the fact eventually you run out of NPC’s with inventory space since most dont eat food, and those that do are often hostile

We need wagons, chariots and such vehicles in vanilla, can you imagine how badass would be like using medieval bike? Running like Naruto towards city seems painful.

My latest playthrough, I set up Beaker King in Catun, where I cooked and sold the meat from the Beak Things that I baited into the guards- I mean that attacked the town. Meanwhile, an armorer used the animal hide to train armor smithing.

Fun fact, you can make this even more broken by putting lights in the farms to keep the farming skill of the farmers from dropping at night. Can probably double night production.

One thing you can do, when the bandits first attack your base, you can choose the option to stab the guy in the face and they run away. It worked multiple times in one playthrough for me.

I've done many runs in kenshi, where my characters becomes the sole reason the island has a GDP. I've either owned multiple bars across the map. Making a mega tycoon's worth of wealth daily.
