    So John smith was also a person but he wasn’t who she married (think the sequel to Pocahontas that Disney did)she meet John smith when she was 12-13 and she met Rolfe when she was around 16 and was basically kidnapped and taken to Europe. They did marry and she have one child Thomas Rolfe. She died I believe at 22years old of pneumonia, possibly.

      @davidcox3076 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good point. It wasn't that long ago that sugar was considered a spice. And it commanded a similar price to exotic spices. Lots of honey and molasses in use as sweeteners instead back then.

    Justine, We used to celebrate like that. I remember doing so growing up in the 60s. It was around the end of the Vietnam War where patriotism started waning. Its sad, but true. Ronald Reagan helped bring back that pride for awhile. B7t I think the recession about 2006 or so also smacked things down. COVID? My Dad used to lead the Navy Band in parades. I also grew up in the military and parade celebrations were a big part of my life because of my Dad's job as a musician. I think we brats have a lot of patriotism born into us, eh? Sue ♥
