I'd rather Primeape stay with Ash. I saw some rumors about a Primeape evolution in S/V and if they turn out to be true it could be very interesting later on in this series.

Ah Bye Bye Butterfree it's always inevitable with anybody. I like that Ash and Primeape's relationships grew here, because of Clefairy. Now for the controversial idea, because I do like the idea of Primeape and Clefairy developing a bond, but I think Primeape should stay with Anthony to get stronger. You can bring in Primeape in for bigger battles, you would introduce the idea of Ash rotating his team with adding in an extra, his team could be more balance, and finally this could push Clefairy into getting stronger after seen Primeape waiting to getting stronger. Anyways another really good part, and looking forward to the next part soon.
Stay with ash would be awesome but at the same time let it get stronger and then come back would also be benefit Towards it because as a story creator you can have it come back for the pokemon League
Mankey is my favorite Pokémon So yeah I would like Primape to stay. Also as far as having a unique team goes Ash already had one in the anime when he reached the league. He just didn’t use the Pokémon he left with Professor rogue as much as he should have like Torous.
I think Ash may want to train his own mons. while Anthony might be trained to teach Primeape I think Ash would worry it's effect on both Clefairy and Primeape if Ash could easily give any of them away

What change or improvement can a regular guy with a Hitmonchan do to Primeape? Ash has a strong team that will make Primeape stronger, besides he is Lance prodigy. You don’t see Gary, Lance, Agatha, etc sending their pokemon to train with other people. Thats why Ash is called a TRAINER, cause he trains his mons hahah.
I think primeape leaving and coming back stronger would further motivate clefairy to become stronger and I like the idea of ash having an extra slot for a new team member
