Scott has mentioned this before in his talks and he has specified that our physics/engineering maths are solid, but that he is referring to the impossibility of measuring things that are subject to human interpretation and bias-starting with economics, and including earth temperature and icebergs - and I do agree with him on that

The Bronx crowd story is slightly complicated: Essentially there were two crowds; The actual event crowd had a hard cap of 3500 due to security constraints & the maximum capacity were in attendance. The larger number was 'overflow' crowd that was in the vicinity but easily croppable from overhead shots of the event as there was a security boundary gap to them.

The risk to human safety is unchanged from this small Helium leak (used to actuate 1 of 28 RCS thrusters). Covered by redundancy and the He can be shut off to this valve when not used. At the very beginning, Scott complains that AIs will "hallucinate." This is a deeply misunderstood idea with AIs. All such programs, and even the next generation "AGIs" will hallucinate. That function of intelligence is better known at "imagination."
Children and AI both imagine freely. Because that's how we THINK. You have experiences, sense data, first you form those experiences in concrete stories about the world. Then you rearrange the elements into alternative stories to imagine other possibilities.
By 6 years old, the age of reason, children can distinguish such alternative models from reality, and even pare down alternatives to plausible scenarios. Eventually we will teach AI and AGI to define and hold such boundaries.
