- I compare the Seed Studio XIAO ESP32S3 sense to the AI thinker esp32 cam, based on speed and ease of use. For speed test I use the pretrained person detection tensorflow model that ships with the tensorflowlite_esp32 library.

That's a pretty impressive speed up! i need to update my voice recognition code and try it out (it's suffered from terrible bit rot...).

What is the maximum distance the ov5640 camera can see facial features? I will be using ESP32 s3 seed as base.
Ideal, I need 48feet facial identity. However, I could mount in 28 feet distance if required.

I haven’t tested it beyond about 15 feet, but I would expect accuracy would be reduced at longer distances. If you can look at the training data, it might give more clues.
ESP32 cam is terrible. Uploading sketch is unreliable.
Reset button is also in the back of the module. This make it difficult to upload sketch.
Yes. Totally agree. I’ve had some struggles with uploading sketches to esp32 ai thinker.
@@jonathanr4242 Is uploading sketch to Xiao easy? Do you still need to push Reset button?
@@jumbo999614 I don't think I did. It's very simple. I remember thinking how easy it was compared to the ai thinker.
@@jumbo999614 p.s. there are quite a few brands that have usb connection that are much easier to flash.
