Somehow just now seeing this update video, and I love that lane design!! So beautiful!! I love how smooth the pinsetter seems to run and how elegant everything looks as Lego As well as design, it is very cool to see it using the new power control + motors etc!
Thank you so much! The pinsetter now heavily relies on turning rotational motion into linear motion, which is why it looks so smooth. That makes it always slow down before coming to a stop. I'm glad you like it!
About to graduate, been watching you since elementary school, it’s fantastic to see how far you’ve come with this. Now that it’s 100% Lego this should totally become an official set!
Looking good tcas! I like how you built that linkage mechanism for the setting table! Now it can set more accurately without the need for constant adjustments over time! Hopefully we see more updates! ;)
I am, but there’s so much going on. I really want to get back into making videos though. Especially since I’ve made some big progress on the pinsetter now
What's your next project after this? Now that you have most of the foundation work, lane specification figured out... you should definitely consider rebooting the String Pinsetter project!!!
Me too. I have tried over the years with various unique designs (without using mindstorms) to replicate this masterpiece. But there is no denying that this guy is the certified king.
Thanks! I'll make instructions when I've made sure that all the parts can be bought nowadays. I had to remove my mindstorms robots and replace them with Control+ hubs, so that's taking some time
I know it would be an insane amount of Lego, but will it be possible to dupiclate it a second time and connect them to become an entire pair of lanes? So that they use the same ball return etc? Just wondering as it would be cool to have an entire pair of working pinsetters/lane
@@njdevinney It is even more my own model than ever before actually. The new mechanism that raises and lowers the setting table had to be invented from scratch since I needed it to be jam free, even when there's off-spot pins, while still working super smoothly to set new pins. I've also redone the sweep mechanism, and re-introduced double pin loading that I used to have, many years back :)
@@ThinkCleverAndSmart I see, great work for the past 10 years on that pinsetter you have made! Been watching your channel for practically my whole life now, and I love that this project is coming to an end sooner or later (kinda saddening tbh). I also recently had the opportunity to create my own version of the Lego Bowling Alley, based off of yours and Pindominators design, trying to go for a design that looks more like the real pinsetter, so im including 3d printed pins and some other materials in my build. Maybe we could work together sometime in the future? You have definitely inspired me throughout my whole life, and I wish you the best of luck for your future endeavors!
Hi, I’m using control+/PoweredUp motors because the Mindstorms robots cannot be bought anymore. Since I’ll sell instructions for this, I want people to be able to buy the parts. It’s also way cheaper :)
I think that having a lot of help from @EzlerPlayz3425 will pay@@ThinkCleverAndSmart , but thanks for suggesting that! I might keep my EV3 until it skyrockets, but I love the new concept!
@@ThinkCleverAndSmart 1. Animation wise. I think instead of having only animations for strikes spares misses and splits you should add the option for people to add animations for 1-9 pins 2. Have the option of Removing the scoremore logo or replacing it with the bowling alleys name or logo (in the program only) or having the option to move it into a corner or smth 3. Scoreboard themes (maybe) Like we can have the option to make the scoreboard look like a older scoring system or like themes for it (example: Christmas theme) 4. Being able to put a custom screen saver That's all the ideas that I would like to see Scoremore is so useful btw :p
@@CinnabonLeafeon alright! Custom 1-9 pin animations are coming in the future. There won’t be an option to remove the ScoreMore logo (since it has to be visible what scoring system it is since it’s free), but moving it to the side has been tested. We will see. Scorecard themes are also coming, starting with a small redesign in the next version for those who have donated money to the project :)
If you make an instruction manual for this I would buy it… it looks VERY well made.

your videos Sparked up my imagination with lego!
Incredible work as always!
Thanks man!
Wow! Proud as a teammate in LM to watch what you accomplished!
Thank you! LM definitely teached me to build big!
That’s awesome you made the Lane entirely Lego and I noticed you changed the Setting Table. Great job man !
Damn, this is really cool man. keep it up!

Can you show the pin sweep?
There’s a video of that here on my channel :)

Yes, it’s designed to work that way :)
Could you do the 7-10 challenge sometime? If the pins even bounce at all in the first place
Sure thing! I can try that :)
@@ThinkCleverAndSmart What would happen if a pin got stuck under the sweep? would it jam the system or would it just continue the cycle?
@@flugetsi10 Good question! That would jam it, however, it never happens because the sweep comes down so fast 😄
@@ThinkCleverAndSmart So it's just the same as a real GS-X, except that might make the pin split in half 🤣
now make 2 side by side
Nice work!
Thanks!
How do you even grab the pins
Also it's amazing how realistic this thing is. I loved how you changed the design to make it more like the real thing.
