Hi Joy, thank you for everything. You doo for all of us. Appreciate you so much and I have learned so much from you! Seeing stuff❤ to a different way and lots lots more you have inspired me to just honestly be myself and get out and do stuff that I would never think I would do and start a TH-cam channel And every single time I feel like I do something I always think of you so thank you for the motivation you give me as well as giving other people. I am so glad I found you.
My name is crystal.I am from rurals , south central florida I have lost most of my vision I appreciate how you make the most of life. And it helps me to want to continue to 2. Get off the couch and enjoy life outside of my comfort zone. Thank you so much
Thank you for everything and I truly look up to you so so much! And I am blind as well and I was born premature so I needed to be an incubator and it damaged my eyes as well as my vision so because I was too small and I was really premature. I got affected by the light but here I am 21 years later still.❤
Hi Joy, my name is Giselle and I live in Southern California. I was born with glaucoma and have been visually impaired all my life. Over the years my vision has decreased to mostly light perception and fuzzy vague images. I have a guide dog named Livia and use a cane when I cannot take her with me. I have been following you for about 6 years. I like seeing you interacting in different situations. I am less outgoing and watching you inspires me. Love you and looking forward to all your new adventures.
Hey joy I'm from down under in Australia. I've been visually impaired since birth. I like your adventure videos when u go out and about. I started following u a long time ago and i love your positive brave attitude.
Hey Joy, I think I kind of stumbled upon you on your TH-cam channel when you had gotten, Antonia your first Guide dog, but I don’t remember exactly when that was but I was with you on your Livestream when you first hit 100,000 subscribers congratulations to that
Hi Joy, my name is Joe I live just outside of Toledo. I am legally blind, but I have some sight remaining. I am loosing it rapidly. I’ve been following you since you had your guide dog. I am a guide dog user.
Joy, you are so pretty and I like that red dress that you had on when you was at the convention. This is Judy and I am from Mississippi. I found you through my husband my husband princess Horton. He's totally blind and I found you about 56 years ago. And then you stopped posting videos and I was wondering where you were at, but then I saw all the things that you were going through with depression and you know your divorce and stuff and I've been following you for a long time. I'm glad you're back and you look like you're. So well and happy and I'm sorry about your mother. But these things happen. Cancer's a bad thing. So, yes, I'm glad you're back. Love your videos and show us some clothes and make up and shopping, I love all that stuff and I am legally blind too but I have sight just enough to get around or either get me in trouble. Don't know which love you.
Hi Joy, I am sighted and live in Scotland, I have been following your TH-cam videos for a while now. I think what sparked my interest was seeing my Dad as his eyesight got progressively worse as I was growing up, being scared of my eyes going the same way. I still have that fear and seeing how you live without sight shows that life can be very different but life can still be full and fulfilling if you have the right mindset. love watching your videos, please keep them coming!
I'm watching from Ontario, Canada. amd jave been totally blind for a few years now, and started loosing my vision around October of 2018. It was a combination of a couple factors, possible Glaucoma and a detached retna, after I had a cornia transplant in June of 2022. I found your channel while searching for vision loss. I had partial sight up until it went in 2018. Keep up the good work.
Hi Joy I am from the UK and I am completely blind. You inspire me as a blind person to navigate independently. I started watching you a few years ago when you were posting airport videos and they are my favourite type of videos because they inspire me to be independent, have an amazing day whenever you’re reading this.❤
Hi Joy, I'm Dolores and I'm from Connecticut. I just subscribed to your channel. I'm totally blind and want to shoot youtube videos of myself cooking. Do you have any ideas on how to do that? How do you shoot your videos? Thank you for any help you can provide. I love your channel already! I've been blind since age 3 due to ROP - retinopathy of prematurity. Have a great day. Dolores
I'm from the northeastern US. Cataracts, high myopia and macular degeneration. Still can see, but not good and the future of my sight is uncertain. The thought of going blind has long scared me and I've been struggling to think of how I can cope should I lose my sight. Watching you has given me hope that no matter what life throws at me I can find a way to "find joy". Seeing how you cope with your vision loss has given me great ideas on how I can cope with mine as my eyesight worsens. Love you Joy!
Hello Joy, I am from Blanding, UT but I currently live in Denver, CO. I have been a part of your journey since 2017, how I found your channel was through the suggested videos after a video I watched of Molly Burks and after watching your videos I got the confidence to kind of start vlogging. I am visually impaired the eye diseases I have are Cone Rod Dystrophy & Retinitis pigmentosa.
Hi Joy! My name is Amanda, and I have been visually impaired since birth. I have aniridia, nystagmus, corneal keratopathy (I have KPros in each eye). I am originally from Wilkes-Barre, PA, and now live in Wilmington, DE. I came across your channel years ago. I found you very inspirational. ❤
Hi Joy! My name is Autumn I am from New Jersey and yes I am able to see. I started following you back in 2020 when I was going through a very difficult time in my life. You don’t understand how much you’ve helped me through that time. I honestly just started trying to see all the good in life. Unfortunately this past year has been so hard. Lost my job and pretty much everything else after. I kind of haven’t been on TH-cam lately but recently thought about you & I was so happy to see you posted! Just the other night I was thinking about just giving up because I can’t seem to catch a break and feel beyond defeated. I went on a Joy binge and for those few hours I was able to be in a better head space. Thank you! Praying for you as always and hope you can say one for me as well. Thanks for uploading and bringing us on your journey!
There's nothing wrong with writing a lengthy post. It's great to share parts of your story with not only Joy, but with anyone else who reads comments… Like me. I'm glad that you have found someone who has helped uplift you a little bit. Joy is an absolutely wonderful human being, and she is even more so in person when one gets to be in her presence.
Hi Joy, my name is INEKO I am blind from Tampa Florida. I’ve been blind since six months old. And I am also deaf. I love following you because you are an inspiration to those who are newly blind and looking for a platform for newly blind people to follow.
GerDay Joy, I’m an interstate (long distance) truck driver all over “Outback” Australia. You lot call what I do “Over The Road”….so I travel over the equivalent of the Southern part of the contiguous States of the USA. Now, I BETTER be able to see because my truck is 36 Metres long and weights about 91,000 KGs (a little over 200,000 pounds) and I’m not sure y’all wanna have a non sighted cove driving a vehicle of this magnitude. As for how I stumbled upon you? No bloody idea….. EweChube just recommended you, I guess!!!!
Hello joy I am from Madison Wisconsin, but have travelled far and wide, from northern wi to the west coast and American south but never out of the US. I can see very well with contact lenses but am very nearsighted and had a PVD when I was 18 so i have bad eye floaters and it was a huge adjustment but now doesn’t bother me much. I I took an OTC eye vitamin that has really improved my eye health and made my eyes rounder and also can see somewhat better. It is very incredible. Thank you for everything you do and for helping us choose Joy.
I'm so glad to support you! You make the most of life and have good people around you. You look wonderful and give me a lift! I've nothing to complain about! Las Vegas sighted (gratefully)
Hello Joy, I’m from the UK 🇬🇧 I went blind a few years ago and have an amazing guide dog called Bambi! I trained her myself as I also have a few other disabilities which meant I couldn’t get a program dog but I love training dogs so it’s been fun to learn to trust each other. She is an American bulldog x Great Dane and her little brother is called Bodhi and he is training to be my next guide dog and he is a mastiff x Great Dane!
Hi joy! I am sighted however I do need my glasses to see clearly and unable to drive without them lol Im from SoCal & I’ve been watching you for years ! I first subscribed maybe 7 years ago I want to say. I watch because I see how humble , genuine, confident , strong and loving you are. I find your journey so inspiring & motivating . I also want to add that your hair, makeup, and outfits always look amazing and you have great style. 💘
Hi my beautiful friend, how are you? You know where I'm from lol. Good old New Jersey. Hope to visit you one day. Love you! You're such a blessing to me!!!❤
Hey Joy! My name is Evan and I'm from Atlanta, Georgia! I am able to see. Been watching you for more than six years, probably even longer, we all enjoy your videos and love hearing what you have to say!
Watching you from Sacramento California. I am severely visually impaired. No light presence in one eye in one to 2% of hazy vision in the other eye. Thank you so much for your inspiration and showing that life does not end with these limitations, but new doors of opportunity, open up for us to walk through. You motivate me a lot of days to keep on going when I would just assume rather shut it down and wait for a different day. You are very educational, inspirational and motivational. I know that you have to have bad days to just like I do and please know that you are continually in my thoughts and prayers!! Would love to be able to connect with you on the telephone sometime. You are truly a breath of fresh air in your personality lights up the room. You truly changed lives by just being around you and listening to your encouraging words. Hope you have an awesome rest of your week. 6:16
Hi Joy. I’ve been subscribed to your TH-cam channel for a very long time. I’m from Augusta GA. I’m sighted. I’m also an insulin dependent Type 1 diabetic. I’ve been one for 57 years. I don’t remember how I found you. I have two blind friends who are both Type 1 and have diabetic retinopathy. I was recently diagnosed with that and it’s been a hard thing to accept. Hopefully I keep my sight. There are laser treatments you can get to help you keep your sight. I love your videos and your openness. It helps me stay motivated with my disease which is very hard. Love you! ❤
Hi Joy! I am a sighted person and I live in northwestern Oregon. I don't quite remember what was the first video or link to your channel that I came across first. It was probably your meetings with Molly B, or one of your airport related videos. I find the PDX related ones really useful, you sometimes get to go there before whatever my next flight from there happens to be. Speaking of, its been getting some renovations last year and this year, so if you are planning an upcoming flight it may be worth re-filming if that's of interest. Hoping they always treat you well too.
I did not get to see none of your posts so I didn’t get the comment so I’m going to come in here I am from Orlando Florida I watch you on TH-cam I am totally blind and you’re amazing
I’m from California and sighted but as Molly says “invisible” disabled. Yes I started following when she videoed the time she met you, in Oregon I believe for lunch
Hey, Joy, I forgot to tell you on your Facebook post if I was blind or not. I’ve been completely blind since birth. My optic nerve didn’t develop. I use VoiceOver on my iPad and I read fluent braille.
From Westchester County, NY. Not blind but I am very nearsighted and sometimes feel blind though I know it’s not the same at all. I would not be able to function without my contacts/glasses (been wearing them since third grade).
Hi joy. I’m 32 years old, visually impaired from Appleton Wisconsin. I have a sister named Joy who lives in the Milwaukee area. That’s Milwaukee, Wisconsin, not Oregon lol. I wonder if you ever went to a school for the blind when you were a kid? I graduate 2012 from the Wisconsin school for the blind in visually impaired in Janesville.
Sighted from Ontario Canada. Love your view on life 🙏🏼
