    I've competed in a handful of events and I will continue to do as long as time and physical ability allows. They are a ton of fun and its awesome to see it gaining traction.

    I was fortunate enough to be a RSO for this event. Great group of people. Both the TG Staff and competitors. Hope to have this event back in 2023.

      From all the videos of the different matches I’ve seen, they almost seem to be opposites of each other. The Tactical Games looks more focused on the physical challenge with shooting and Brutality looks more like a shooting match with physical challenges to make it harder.

    I want to do this, but I'll need a lot of training. Are there clubs or groups that train or offer training in SoCal? (for Masters)

      For CrossFit, there are lots of options.
      For firearms training, there are actually lots of options. Google around. Find a trainer you like and trust.

    Is it like other shooting events, where you literally only shoot for like 1-2 minuets followed by hours of standing around waiting for your next turn?

    • @drummnl
      @drummnl ปีที่แล้ว

      So you will have four stages each day, and each stage averages between 12 and 15 minutes. But you do have downtime in between each event

    • @The10thManRules
      @The10thManRules ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The TTG is physically demanding. You're gonna need the downtime to recover, especially if your fitness is bare minimum.

    What's the exact height on a lower 1/3 and a lower 1 9/3 ?

    • @zackrowe87
      @zackrowe87 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depending on optic and mount, most lower 1/3 are 1.57 height and the 1.93 is just that

    • @ThePatriotParadox
      @ThePatriotParadox ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zackrowe87 I that just the mount ot from rail to line of sight? I have a 1" mount that makes my overall height over bore 3.24 and I think a 1.93 is 3.19 from bore to optic depth upon rds of course but usually all about the same

    • @ThePatriotParadox
      @ThePatriotParadox ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zackrowe87 what do you use mostly and what is your preferred zero for minimum holds out to 300y???

    • @zackrowe87
      @zackrowe87 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThePatriotParadox I mean it’s a lot of personal preference. 1.57 allows you to still use iron sights thus the “lower 1/3” name because you can still use the sights in the lower 1/3 of your optic. Anything higher will give you a more heads up shooting position but you won’t be able to use your backup sights as well or at all. A higher optic allows you to passively aim with night vision. Height over bore is really negligible in the grand scheme of things. I use a 50/200 yard zero but again that’s a personal preference.

    • @zackrowe87
      @zackrowe87 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThePatriotParadox I mostly use a 1.57 but what you’re using your gun for will dictate how you run it. I have a 1.57 on my home defense gun but a 2.26 mount on my work gun because we use gas masks and night vision.

    I’m honestly curious: what is the obsession with all things tactical? I like guns, I love shooting, I edc yada yada yada… but I get off at the stop where you start spending money on plates, helmets, tac vests. Seriously, what’s the appeal?

    • @SonoranSteel
      @SonoranSteel 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Owning a gear belt &/or chest rig/plate carrier is mainly a means of carrying magazines and other light weight equipment you’d rather have on your person while at the range. The step past that is setting up equipment to be life-saving if you ever needed it. The hobby bleeds into emergency preparedness. If you want firearms because you believe there’s even a small chance of societal collapse, you’ve entered the gear/equipment (or “tactical”) side of firearms.
      A step further is recognizing that you won’t survive societal collapse no matter how good your guns/gear are if you’re in terrible shape. The Tactical Games is the place for people to test their fitness level while using that gear.

      What a great reply! That all makes a lot of sense. Although I will never be the doomsday, kind of guy, I must admit I am kind of a shit show when I’m on the range because I have one range bag full of crap. Maybe I will step up my game just a little,not into the LARP world , but at least into the organized world.😅

    • @Jazzman-bj9fq
      @Jazzman-bj9fq ปีที่แล้ว

      1776 was the year the signed Declaration of Independence was officially unveiled and what many consider to be the steps leading up to the U.S. becoming its own nation rather than just a collection of 'independent colonies.' Yeah, the British invasion began in 1775.
