For the last 50 years, the fifth dimension has yet to disappoint us. We love them forever love from all of us on Staten Island, New York and thanks for the upload you guys.
This may have been recorded in 1997, but in this very Dark Age we are in now (2019), it's needed more than ever. Thank you wonderful people, for bringing such vibrant, positive feelings and incredible message of "possibility" into this increasingly troubled world!! Keep on doing!
This actual performance is from the middle or late 1990s on the Today Show. Notice no one is holding a phone trying to record and post it. Still a great performance. Sadly, Ron Townson passed in 2001.

@Michael And toys Yes, the original version was recorded in 1969, but this performance is from 1997. The roman numerals MCMXCVII at the end of the performance and show reveal that.
Fantastic Harmony holy shit ❤️❤️❤️🙏 such a beautifull song and message about divine love, and love for one and other. In the year 345676 people still praise this godgiving song. Let the sun shine Inn ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
They all sound real good and look great in 2018.Man they aged well. This an awesome group and all members still together. There is only one original member left on the The Temptation and that's ottis. But The 5th Dementions has all original people.Thats very rare coming from the sixties. Most are gone. What a blessing to witness this.
@@jasonburger3533 yes. I know. I happened to hear the news at work on the radio in my office. I was so upset. 😡 It was hell to concentrate for the rest of the day after hearing that. The good news is that the d.j.'s on the radio station raved about the times they met him and how nice he always was. They also commented positively about his singing voice.
Yes it was his intention to give that gospel feeling because he is a man of tremendous faith and wanted to infuse the elements of religion and preaching with what he had heard in the song from the Broadway musical hair. A brilliant stroke of cultural Transcendence from billy.
@@gabygrossbacher8540 They are great no matter the acoustics. This particular performance was from The "Today" Show on NBC-TV on July 18, 1997. That is over 23 years ago. The surviving members still sound wonderful.
WOW, they sound awesome...I can't stop looking at Ms Marilyn...I mean, she age soooo beautifully, and those legs, WHOA!!...
i love how clearly you hear their different notes in singing their harmonies!
Good God..... they still sound brilliant, very recognizable.

Why dark.?
I think 2020 very well may be the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.

They look and sound amazing.
Always a class act!
FIRST class, CLASS act!!!
@@Highinsight7 They have been referred to as "champagne soul." That is an apt description.
They were the best! What can I say.
Outstanding performance
Grateful for this, wow, still exhilarating after all these years. May the vision of this song become the reality in the US in this generation💓
Wow, they all still look great!
Maybe the most epic song of the 20th century. It owned the charts back in early 69/ Sing along with the Fifth Dimension
They are amazing.
Hermosa melodia que Nunca pasa de moda...

I remember...
The death of innocence and hope 😢
AHHHH, SIMPLEMENTE DIVINO!!!
That was fun.
Wow....impressive
I first heard this song on LZ 412 in I Corps in 1969
¡Hermosa canción, tocada en algún otro lugar!
Awesome!
Forget the rest best signing group ever. The other vocal groups get too much credit !!
It is very difficult to sing those complex harmonies. Sounds great...wow!
An outstanding vocal group - without doubt 🎶
Billy Davis definitive of cool
2021 me encanta esta Agrupación y la sigo escuchando
Gran conjunto, espero que que hagan más resitales...
Con un vídeo cómo el primero de su carrera con estas dos canciones...

great
Aunque sea un único pero gran recital video musical....que hagan....
I love All Roker!!!
I recognize everybody except the guy in the hat. Is he ron?
Yes, that's Ron. He lost weight because he was diabetic. Eventually he had to come off the road.

Si no me equivoco ésa melodía tiene 56 años
Billy sings as if he’s preaching at church
Cool church !

I wonder if this is the final recorded live performance of the original members of The Fifth Dimension
@@user-xu4ow3bu6f perhaps
I know this is old. That was big Al Roker. Al is a little dude now. LOL
1997?
is this the only songs they did as a group cuz out side of the group you have davis and McCoo sing as a pair.
Wait. They didn't do Up Up And Away as a group?
Yeah they had quite a few hits as a group and won 8 grammys
Gotta love these guys. Interesting how the fat male member lost weight while the other 2 gained enough to make them all chubby.
Chingon
They really need those flutes and violins to bring the song together. Without them the song sounds flat
It's where they're performing. The sound engineering is not that great.
Say what?
No way...they are great one way or another... 😄
@@naturalkinkycurlymarie7496 Yes, Rockefeller Center outside is not the best acoustics.
