As an italian I'd like to add that the setting and the vibes of the characters perfectly fit 1920s southern Italy. The names of the dishes (although botched in pronunciation), their habits and their way of thinking towards their woman and other people (especially the Falzone family) surprised me because I felt they did their research well. This is another aspect that can be enjoyed while playing if you are italian or know fairly well southern Europe! It will put a smile on your face when Dante asks for his "espresso" after every meal😸
Definitely agree! It's still my favourite game I think I especially liked the romance in the routes, it was so well paced and very romantic, but still there was a lot of plot going on, I don't know how they did that so well! I'm also very much looking forward to the sequel 😍
Just me thinking I can go with the flow and not changing decisions, then on the very first try ending up on the Nicolas route with the bad ending and being to disturbed to enjoy the good endings afterwards... I should've listened to the warning at 6:30 hahaha 🥲

Hey just wanted to say that I really enjoy your videos! They include the perfect amount of infos for reviews! And yes the sudden death endings, I remember playing all these endings. That was tough LOL And yes the music is great, I agree, I stopped at some serious fighting scenes and started to listen to the music because it was so good!! :,D

I have only played Niccola's route so far. I started with him bcuz i love his voice actor even though flirty characters aren't my time he surprised me. I enjoyed his route quite a bit. Also in these games I thought I was in like the good ending until the last ch. I was pleasantly surprised. I like how branched out the routes become with each ending.
Concerning the difficulty, if you choose to play in Japanese: the Japanese in the game is in most of the scenes at an intermediate level, I would say. Only the whole mafia talk is really difficult, but as the game is localised you can always glance at a Let's Play if you lose track of what's going on.
yeah I dunno.. I am in the middle of Piofiore and I just wanted to say there is actually no mafia in Apulia, mafia is in Sicily. In Apulia u have Sacra Corona Unita which is super fascinating and in my opinion so much better suited for an Otome go check Wikipedia ;) I get the trashy fascination of this postmodern absurdity.. but there are equally absurd Otomes that are more over the top such as Code Realise: being Italian my mentality is if u have to go nuts go really nuts. New to Otome here eh?! I am in the denpa and darker VNs and I was curious about the whole dating sim fascination .. which still escapes me but well.. I also have Bustfellows that I sense is more plot focused... anyway ur channel is a great starter guide! Keep up the good work!

Maybe you'll also like Charade Maniacs which will be localised in summer, where the participants are forced to act in a twisted broadcasting show or they'll die... Finished Gil's route today. 🥰 He and Yang remain my favorites, though there are parts of Dante's that I like a lot. I'm going to skip the 6th route and bad endings. I've got Café Enchanté to start next, but Otome labyrinth doesn't have a guide for it, so I've got to find another one.
I have now, only five days later, started and finished all the good ending routes of Café Enchanté. 😅 One of those rare games where I actually like all the LIs. I had to turn off the music and sound effects for most of it, though, especially because of the ding-ding-ding-ding the UI makes if the sound effects are on. Good character design and development, I thought. Love the found family, emotional intimacy, and banter. Capable heroine. Character art and CGs pretty good, clearly original art, but several backgrounds look (to my eye) like they might be AI compilations of other works?? Excellent voice performances! I was particularly impressed by the range of Il's actor, who also voiced Dante in Piofiore. There was only one twist that had my jaw drop. I'd anticipated the first part of a revelation, but not the second. Had some good laughs - and cried. Ignis 🔥 is my favorite LI and the ice fairy middle school kid serves up some of my favorite moments. "This Café only serves iced curry . . . Those were dates." Shoving (redacted) out the door and then freezing it shut. Sharing wisdom. 🥰 ❄️

I love Piofiore. It is such a unique game where none of the LI are actually a 'good guy'. It was a thrill to play and I cannot wait for Episodio 1926!
