Lots of people seemed to love the more laid back way we shot the main RWB video, so here’s a full cut of Nakai-san doing his thing, no talking, no music, as authentic as it gets. After this video, we’re diving into Japan’s New Years meets and of course TAS! Enjoy ❤
Huge thanks for putting this out there! Nothing against the people that make huge productions out of their build (because I'm sure it's as big a deal to them as it is to you) but there is something ultimately more satisfying about watching Nakai-san in his own shop just doing his thing.
This is super nostalgic for me as I got to work on that same Porsche ages ago at Metrics Unlimited my first job. Volkswagen Audi Porsche, boats, bikes, airplanes….Worked there a whole year and a half before finding out I work for Travis Pastranas head mechanic lol. Small world. RIP John Stauffer and thank you Frog Davenport for the Porsche exposure!
Dino I watched it first time around, but to see it again it's still incredible, good to see your 3 sons were still in this video but not helping Nakai-san as in the first video 😊
Dino, this kind of video with no music, talking, etc. That focuses exclusively on the atmosphere and personality of the shop is brilliant and the internet desperately needs more of it. If you can, could you make a cut like this for the shops you've been to? Like Watanabe and such. I know it's double the work, but we need it!!
Happy new year and lots of blessings for you and your family definitely you are the best keep doing what you are doing no music no crowds that's perfect
I'm no body man, just a backyard detailer and seeing those other 911's covered in dust and/or overspray just made my skin crawl😳😳😳 That said, he's made a name for himself, that's for sure and people still pay to fly him around the world to work on their cars, so he's doing something right🤷♂️
I don’t get triggered watching this. Regardless of the questionable quality of the workmanship, I can appreciate this guy’s dedication to just going to town with zero f’s given by the purists. I like the wide body look, but only if the motor is sufficiently modded that results won’t be a slower car on top of the many “flaws” added by half-winging it than the original car starting point. That to me would be the sad part.
Passion, dedication, enthusiasm, mindset, cult, emotions, ... Car enthusiasts, of all people, should be able to understand what this is about. Broaden your narrow-mindedness, pull the stick out of your ass, and instead, enjoy the many facets of free automotive expression.
I paint cars for a living. Been in the industry since 2011. This guys techniques and skills are bottom of the barrel. Is the end product tolerable? Sure. But i would pick this car apart in 50 different ways. Starting with not prepping/fitting parts before theyre painted. Using way too thick of primer/sealer that the orange peel somehow shows up even though his paint was reduced to the viscosity of water… then theres using self tappers as drill bits so that he can potentially crack the piece as hes fitting it because it climbs the screw as shown in this video. This dude is an actual bum. Hes basically the “bad chad” of japan. Its actually embarrassing and endlessly criticizable.
People think Japan is meticulous, prideful, and strive for perfection when it comes to car shop work. In reality, it's just a bunch of ghetto cookie-cutter half ass jobs. Applies to the majority of the shops, including this guy.
I don’t get how he got so famous with work like this. These people pay him to eye ball cut into their 6 figure 911s and just self tap fiberglass fenders on. Oh well hate the game not the player I guess.

Watching Nakai doing his work in his workshop is so satisfying 🙌🏻
Awesome video! No music, no crowds around. Just a man and machine!

When some project cars spend years on axle stands, he does this in a day 😮😎
Love it all! The rawness the not perfect approach and the end result is either way stunning!
Cleanest cuts of fenders that I’ve ever seen him do, love the entire process and looking forward to seeing your new wheels.
💛
What a work of art! Turned an already brilliantly designed car into something even better. I would love a car like that one day!

Congratulations on your RWB build. From a visual standpoint I like this video. Not always big on ASMR but this one is laid out well. Enjoy the drive!
Glad you enjoyed the video! There is also the main build video too... head back and check it out👍🏻
@ haha sorry should’ve added that I did watch the other video.

7:22 he's going after it, no going back now anymore! Scary and at the same time, liberating.
Gorgeous! Love the old stickers than the new one 👌👌
Man RWB become so famous this day that everyone is hating the brand. How I missed the old days that only car people knew them.

Chaulk, hot glue and zip tie master at work🎉🎉🎉
I'm sure you've got a name for your new ride there but seeing it from the front I thought of "Dinobird" because I'm thinking of the RUF Yellowbird🏁🏁

How different it feels to drive from standard 964 to the RWB setup, Dino?
How’s the handling comparing to the stock?
Was it single day job Dino?
Looks amazing bro congrats!

Not everybody appreciates Picasso..
Nor did Picasso expect anyone to appreciate him so it all balanced out 😂
How someone pays good money for this is beyond me.. absolute terrible craftman. Each to their own i guess
Very poor quality painting work, awful, and they pay him money for it, honestly, it's such an art...
he didnt do that paint bud.also those clips were most likely before clear coat.
What exactly is poor quality and awful that you could see thru your expert eyes from a not very detailed and shortened video of the whole process?
To me, it actually fits the name perfectly….. Rough World. And the finished product didn’t look bad at all. At least from what I could see.
@@mari0c0leman it wasnt cleared its very obvouis, this OP commenter doesnt know anything
Glad you like it

It’s the mystery, the cult, the brand.. most people don’t know what good or bad work looks like. Just the way it’s always been unfortunately
Guess I spoke too soon of his work.. everyone seems to preach his skills are the “greatest” around the world..
I think your just jealous
