Kato N scale V6 train track unboxing and build and test with a Kato Loco

First time building an N scale track using a track by Kato.
This kit is the Variation 6 (V6) 20-865 oval track.
Kit comes with 14 pieces of track for a total build of 55"x 28" oval track.
Thinking I'm going to build a Christmas theme portable project for under my Christmas tree that I can store from year to year.

Hi, that V6 track is intended to be used as an extension track to the Kato M1 sets and what you thought was the power rail is a level crossing, hope that info's useful : ]
