I remember watching you and Rick's guide on "How to RUN your first 5k" years ago when i first started my running journey. Similarly, sub 30mins 5K was a daily thing, even during my easy runs.. Now, post injury and being a father (sleepless nights and parental duties), my life turned and i am now unable to complete even a 3k run without stopping BUT my love for running is still there. Run on Anna! Being able to get out and have a run IS a blessing by itself already. Much love!
I LOVE that you are centering Anna’s return to running on this channel. I do not have kids yet but it’s part of the 5 year plan for me, and “how will I run after a baby/with kids” is something I think about a lot. This is so encouraging to see your honest journey and all your reflections in this process, Anna. You guys should have her on the podcast some time soon! 😊
I swear, once I saw there's a new video out with Anna it put a smile from ear to ear on my face. When I started following the channel, you were the presenter I could relate to most. I've come far in my running journey since back then and a big part of that improvement was thanks to the channel and you. It just makes me feel sentimental in all the best ways to see you back on it. Wishing you all the best for your awesome comeback in running! You have at least one big supporter over here in Luxembourg 🎉
You are truly inspiring Anna. So great to have you back on the channel with what are some of the most important videos yet. Keep it real, the challenges of balancing life. I’ve only had Achilles injuries that put me backwards, my male body hasn’t experienced anything like yours! I’ve started back on run/walks now with strength training but my little one is 23…….so no excuses on time for me. Keep it going. 👏👏👏
Anna's video on the 30 minute 5k helped me to get mine in Feb 2024. I brought my pb down to 27:30 then injury struck throughout the year. Im back to running now and looking forward to a sub 26 min 5k in Jan 2025. So glad shes back to motivate us all.
Anna, it's amazing to have you back! 5 years ago I relied on your expertise a lot to get me from couch to 5k to my first half marathon race to my first marathon and first 50k. Thanks to your claim that runners are the nicest people in the world I made sure to find my local parkrun after the COVID shutdowns and got to be a part of a wonderful community. I joined in a run club because you recommended it and found friends there. And now I'm recovering from chemotherapy because I have lymphoma - hopefully that will be history in a couple of months -, I moved to a different city and lost my job. I never completely stopped running for more than 3 weeks at a time, but minor surgery and every round of chemo was a big setback. I missed running a lot, I still miss the way my body used to feel, I can relate to the identity struggles so well ... Now I'm rebuilding strength and endurance and my goal right now is to run 14k by the end of the year, because that's the distance the only run club near my new home runs every Saturday (no parkrun nearby yet ...). That will be a great achievement on the one hand, a tragedy compared to the 55k I did in early April, three months before my diagnosis. What I'm trying to say is: You have been an important part of my running journey and the fact that you are back at this point in my life is a blessing. All the love in the world ❤
Very inspiring watching your journey back to running. Currently 6 months pregnant with my first and it's great to see an honest look into returning to running and balancing new baby life. Looking forward to those post baby milestones and building my fitness back up.
Way to go Anna! You are amazing, and it is wonderful that you are sharing your journey here. My kids are teenagers now, but I do remember the challenges of trying to get back to exercise after a baby. Took me much longer, especially after my second; and at that time, there was nothing like this available online. Your story would have really helped me, so I'm so glad to see more people like you being so honest and frank. I am so excited to have you back on the channel. Missed you.
I am training for my first half-marathon! You are an inspiration, not purely to new mothers but to everyone who runs or wants to run. Awesome, love your videos, and so good to see you back looking healthy and beautiful.
I'm almost 26 weeks pregnant right now, and running a full minute slower per mile than I was pre pregnancy... but still just so happy with what my body can do. Definitely will have to reframe my post pregnancy runs as PB PB's, I love that 😁great to see you back, and I'm following close behind you!
Great to see you back here Anna. Keeping it real. Powerful message which I'm sure will resonate with a lot of people. Thanks for sharing. Wishing you well.
Love to see you run again. I started running again after 5 jears being injured. My 5k time was 19.20, now I finished my first 5 k in 29.40 and with a big smile. Just as you working up to a 10 k. So glad to being able to enjoy this with your motivation in thought
Great to see you back on the channel! I am sure sharing your experience at this point is going to be so valuable to so many viewers, so you are awesome and brave for sharing it with us! I do hope your baby does break ALL of your PBs though ;)
What a legend! I’m still slogging my way back 3 years postpartum after a long series of barriers and setbacks. Starting from scratch was really demoralizing at first, and I have so appreciated having your videos to help me envision where I can go if I keep at it. Now seeing you crushing it postpartum is properly lighting that fire under my feet! Thank you so much for sharing and WAY TO GO! 🔥🎉❤
I love your videos, Anna! Thank you! My babies are young adults now, so I’m an older runner training for my first marathon. Please keep making videos full of the joy you always bring.
You are one gutsy young lady, please ignore any negative comments if there are any as they are worthless probably like the person that makes them. Being 73 and having returned to running 3 years ago I can no longer run the paces I used to and it takes a lot of determination to get out and run especially carrying the extra weight that I now have. I am sure people smirk it me but who cares, I don’t and neither should you and being young and determined you will in time tone the muscles that have had it easy and I would imagine you are carrying your baby’s food source with you which will stop in time if that is the case. Ladies such as you Anna are amazing and please remember that!
Mom of 5 here and every pregnancy I think "I hope I get to do that again." Thank you, God, for my body which has been so good to me. Cheers to slow sloggin mommas loving their life!!
I hope you are aware of the thousands of people who are so grateful for your example and encouragement over these past years. I have used the videos for guidance and advice as I went from wondering if I could complete a 5K to completing a marathon and many injuries along the way. Thanks always for your honesty and kindness, but more than that for your courage. I'm looking forward to each one of your new achievements. Cheers from NC
what a fantastic video by the Running Channel! Many congrats on your return to running, I love your mindset and approach! I can't relate to or imagine the challenge of returning to running after giving birth and have deep admiration for your efforts and achievements!! keep crushing!
So happy to see your running journey post baby going well! Took me a year and a half after my 2nd baby to get back into it 😅 Dealt with some injury (didn’t prep the way you did!) & slowly starting back up with walk-runs now hopefully to prep for a half 🙏🏼 Thank you for showing up & inspiring us 😊
Yaaaay, Anna, well done!! You are such an inspiration! I love how real and vulnerable you dare to be on screen, and that makes you so powerful! I love to see more of you on the running channel! I don't understand nasty commenters, no one forces you to watch this content, just go to a different part on the internet please, thank you. Keep up the good work TRC, thanks to your community, video's and podcast I consider myself a runner now, in steady of 'a person who runs but not a runner'
I was just going through my stats from when I got started running and remembering how far 5k felt not that long ago. It's incredible how much the body can adapt and recover if you allow and encourage it. Just had my first 30 mile week and every one of those miles would have been a pb at the beginning of this year
You are just such joy to see and hear Anna. So good to seeing you run. ❤ I had given up on my body but when my dog got sick, while carrying and caring for him i fell back in love with my body. I agee anout what it can do rather than how it should look. Currently training to run walk Paris 2025 as a chubby 40yr. Woman. ❤❤❤ Much kudos for making us a part of your journey. 🎉
Anna.....making me get off the couch in my robe and coffee and suit up/LACE UP! You are awesome! I wish I wouldve discovered running years ago before I had children...
11 weeks post major abdominal surgery I am about to also start training for a 10k race! I can now run a 5k, so will start upping my continuous distance after the holidays with 7k being my next target! Race is towards the end of March. Good luck with your training, you got this!
Anna you have always been my favourite on TRC but I'm sorry, there is something you will have to learn to accept. Whoever is in the buggy, always wins the race. Love and respect, great to see you doing your thang.
I’m loving having Anna back. So down to earth, and such great pieces of advice. Maybe I should stop chasing old PBs and focus on what I can do regardless of my arthritic knees aching intensely every time I run. 6:05:00 for a first marathon last April isn’t bad. Hopefully 2025 will bring many more 10kms, half marathons and park-run tourist events (who knows I might even finish the UK alphabet).
Anna’s sub 30 5k video helped me to build the running conditioning for going from 39 to 26 minutes 5k in 4 months Looking forward sub 25 and eventually sub 20 “Our bodies are amazing” - Anna

It can be so intimidating when starting the 5ks these videos definitely help

Thank you so much for all of your amazing support
You’re doing so well Anna! Just taking everything in your stride and at your own pace. 7k is a brilliant distance to have reached. Well done ❤
Welcome back Anna. This feels relevant for anyone either new to, or returning to running. Excellent stuff.👏👏😁

Because you had such a fast time before, with some consitioning you will probably be able to get it down faster
I suddenly remembered the very first time I run 7km continuous, I was so chuffed. I'm glad you've got some of that joy. Well done!
Great to see you back on the channel! I am sure sharing your experience at this point is going to be so valuable to so many viewers, so you are awesome and brave for sharing it with us! I do hope your baby does break ALL of your PBs though ;)
I've had to redefine my PBs from my 20s to 50s after recovering from multiple surgeries. Love the new mindset. True Inspiration!

Amazing Anna! You were my guide back in 2021 when I first started running. So cool seeing how you’re balancing it now as a new mum x

I’m going to run less than 4 hours in the marathon in 2025
Go mom! Parent runners unite!
Awesome run, Anna! So good to see you back and loving the runs again. Looking forward to seeing you complete the new challenges in 2025 =D!
So relatable and raw, love it
So glad you're back.

Laughing at the thumbnail! 😂
Go Anna!
Mum runner here. Love this! I may only do an average pace now but I've accepted that and love running even more now.
Well done, Anna 🎉 enjoy your 10k race ❤
Nice to see you back Anna!

Anna.....making me get off the couch in my robe and coffee and suit up/LACE UP!
You are awesome! I wish I wouldve discovered running years ago before I had children...
So excited to see you back and watch your journey!!!
I absolutely adore this series. As a guy without a kid, I can’t exactly relate to this specific experience, but it’s still really inspiring
Congratulations Anna!🎉 You are such an inspiration. Keep it up! ❤
Anna it's so good to have you back.
Anna’s PB PB run is still better than my C25K
Awesome stuff Anna.
Awesome effort Anna!!
Just love this channel ❤
9:20 to 9:40……… if there are any ‘nasty people in the comments’ I’d pity their loneliness, it has to be the only reason. ❤️🙏
I have no idea why anyone would be so nasty to such an inspiring young woman. But if anyone IS nasty, then it's their problem, not anyone else's.
Great to see - well done!
Well done Anna! 🙌🏽
11 weeks post major abdominal surgery I am about to also start training for a 10k race! I can now run a 5k, so will start upping my continuous distance after the holidays with 7k being my next target! Race is towards the end of March. Good luck with your training, you got this!
Awesome work Anna

So glad you enjoyed it!!
Well done Anna. Great to see you back.
You are very inspiring ! Thanks and go you !
So inspiring! I just had surgery and can’t run for a couple of months and feeling worried about when it’s time to start again. Thank-you!
7 km in the bag keep up the good work 💪🏃

“Our bodies are amazing” - Anna
Congratulations Anna! Really lovely to see you back ❤
Who's recording? I must also get your support system. Keep on showing such videos because you DO inspire.
Our bodies are impressive and let us achieve incredible things. So we should care for it.
I don't have kids but I have seen those baby food pouches in the supermarket and thought they'd make a great alternative to gels.
You are awesome
Has baby and a break from running .. comes back and is faster than me! 😂 Impressive! Hope to see more Anna videos here!
Proof! Postpartum doesn't mean you're post-parkrun!
Clever!
