This is all very good. But there is DEFINITELY a trick that every Anglophone should know....if you say "Ou est la gare?" (or any of these phrases) to a French person, the likely response will be "Bonjour." As in, you didn't have the decency to say Bonjour before asking your question. So the correct way is "Excusez-moi..." (now you have their attention)...bonjour (s/he will say bonjour)...ou est la gare? That is how it is done.
Thank you! I appreciate this.
Thanks!
Indeed. At a Yvoire restaurant, at the door I asked the waiter if lunch hour is still on. His answer was ‘Bonjour’.
Thanks for the tip
Thank you LatinaFucker69
I’m really struggling learning basic French for my “last minute” france trip next month. Thanks so much! Subscribing now (: you are a wonderful teacher.
How was France?
Your videos are really helping me fill in learning gaps. Merci beaucoup !
Excellent collection, liked! Just one thing, the expressions are self-explanatory, why not focus more on slow vs normal pronunciation? French sounds can be a pain for non natives!
Gracias.
YES, I agree 100% It is very helpful to hear each sound/syllable slowly and clearly.
very useful and easy to understand. Merci beaucoup! :)
just discovered your channel !! amazing....going to Paris for the first time in a week!!!
How was it?
Fantastic, I don't foresee needing any other phrases, thank you so much
Good video but speaking too fast for teaching the language. Slower pronunciation would help a lot for beginners. Merci!
listen music in french watch movies help to understand fast
I've slowed it down and that works very well 👍
French people speak naturally fast cause of linking vowels and they use lots of pausing cause of tongue rest
Yeah I stopped watching to find a better paced video
@@cantuti1 do you speak French?
You're my favorite instructor!
Thank you!!
VEERY USEFUL UNDERSTANDING TEACHING. I LIKE IT. THANKYOU.
Je suis tellement content d'etre en France!
Bonjour! The host of this video (Lya?) is funny and sweet, and I enjoyed her lessons. I'll watch again, and practice!

Great video, Mecri Beaucoup!
Wow, different Lya. I was somewhat memorized by her beauty before ,on her previous video's,. so stern , so focused. Now I am totally swooned. Why didn't I move to France when I was a young man. Instead of living in the Artic and Yukon maybe I could of met someone like Lya. Although I suspect she is one of a kind. She is very funny and charming in this educational talk.. Well worth your time.
Hello Lya i am learning step by step..je adore le francaise et vous..today i start in an accademy and i will leave my messages in french
Hi Rafael, glad you're learning French ! Do you live in a developping or emerging country ? If so, you might be interested in our program. In any case, keep up the efforts, step by step you will improve !
YOUR TECHING STYLE IS VERY NICE.

Bonjour Lya !
Merci beaucoup pour la Français leçon ! Bonne chance at santé!
Sincèrement, Céline Dior-L.
Good pacree! Many Brits have done GCSE - very basic - but then never use it for months on end. So we want to build ... this woman is funny too!
Soon I will come to Paris and I will stay there ...I can't wait
Merci 😁 (still learning its a little hard as English is my first tongue but françaic is my cinq 1)
I know that many people are asking for you to slow down the pronounciation but I feel like this is the perfect pace for me
congratulations? lol
Love all these videos on how to say stuff on holiday in a language you can't speak.
Me "Bonjour, excuse moi o est la gare?"
French person "Ce n'est qu'à un demi-kilomètre. Continuez tout droit dans cette rue puis tournez à droite. Passez la grande église sur votre gauche, vous vous retrouverez juste en face du grand hôtel au coin. Bonne chance. Au revoir!"
Me "......................ah sorry I don't speak French" lol.
The best phrase to learn in any language you don't speak is. "Hello, excuse me I don't speak XXXX, do you speak English"!
Lots of comments telling her to speak slower.. you can slow the speed of your video. It helps A LOT sometimes.
If you don’t know how to, TH-cam it. There’s a tutorial 😉
Merci
Too fast for beginners.

Dude, I think we all are. She's such a dork, it's cute.
Voulez vous cushack avec moi se soir
Can i borrow your accent to-go? 😂❤
It's good! But what about asking for the little corner? - maybe that's after the beer
the problem is that even though you can ask questions in French, you cannot understand the answers in French, at least, this occurred to me in Paris
I try to remember to say after my question: "sil vous plait, Monsieur parlez lentement ? Je ne parle pas la Francaise" . Sometimes it helps :)
Lya is the best. Bien sur :)
Wish I had started this earlier. You make it fun. Going to subscribe. Leaving Saturday… I need a serious cram session. I really, really, dislike offending people. So, any tips will be greatly appreciated. 🥰
How did you do in France?
@@blackcarriebradshaw, hello, how are you? I had a wonderful time, beautiful experience; however, I knew I should have began practicing earlier as far as speaking French. I went to Italy FIVE years ago and kept using simple phrases in Italian while in France 😣. By the end of the week, when we were heading to London, I was finally getting used to simple phrases in French. My husband has traveled much more than I, he’s much more comfortable than I. However, towards the end of our Paris trip, my son had to stay in due to his epilepsy and meds. I was by myself with him and needed to ask for a couple of towels. I asked in French the best I could and the lady was kind and responded as quickly as she could. After that, I had more confidence. So, I would recommend people remember issues will arise, so, do your best to learn the basics.
Lya's favourite phrase: "Une biere, s'il vous plait."
My favourite phrase: "Un verre de vin rouge, s'il vous plait."
:D
io love your videos
I'm in love
Merci beaucoup! Vous etes tres charmante Madame! :-)
Merci de Angleterre x
This is really helpful, but I am writing down the key words, as I easily get tongue tied with phrases. It's great though. Merci 😂
That's the biggest like to view ratio on TH-cam. Lya is so underrated.
A French version of Risa!
Mmmmm excellent vidéo !!! But...maybe you should include the phrase "Où sont les toilettes?".... which is a VERY IMPORTANT phrase to know !!
Mersi madam

Man, "can I get the check please" and "can you take a picture for me" are so many words.
Yes, but too fast for a newbie French learner.

Dear Ms.Lya, Could you upload the pdf tutorial/notes for the sentence you explained in the video?

Do Canadians or Americans have an accent when we speak French ?
Will they give you a discount at the Cartier store?
Ufff... no se si podrias repitir DOS veces... porque solo una vez no es suficiente para capturar lo que estas diciendo, de acuerdo?
6:31, what is she saying about paris ? i dont understand if she agrees that paris is most beautiful city or not.
Could you say the french phrases little slover.
불어는모르겠고존예시네여 It s hard to understand but she s beautiful

Hi
My friend
Beautiful Girl. She looks like Anne hatherway
Lya:Puis-je payer avec ma carte de crédit?
Me:Pour quelle raison?
So Lya is from Montpellier
Je m'appelle Faith. Merci beaucoup
Ok
Good vidéo, but the repitition is not enough, and it should be slow so beginners could understand
Can you also say or ask:" C'est combien?"
How much?:)
Djsunny
I like this but could you please speak a little bit slowly so I can catch up on the pronunciation
Merci
I thought i was the only one that likes airplane food :)
Heads I win, tails you loose: Les tétes que je gagne; les queues que vous perdez
We actually say "Pile (tails) ou Face (heads)" :)

You need to repeat slowly ... my advice for a better channel :)
Do people really say “puis-je” and “pourrions-nous”? It sounds very formal indeed.

It would be nice if she would pronounce it in a regular speed and slower too.
Tu es française !!! 😀😀😀
