I personally think Sony is testing a concept. They want to see the response to the new aspect Ratio and resolution. The 21:9 and 4k display will be back next year along with new cameras. That's why they didn't release it in the USA. They want the US market to Buy the Xperia 1 mark 7. This is nothing more then a test phone.
Interesting theory, but no profit making company would EVER release any product without fully backing it, and being 100% confident that it would sell. The idea that Sony would introduce any device as a 'test device' is something I could never entertain. Skipping the US market this year suggests that Sony is about to start winding down it's smartphone production. It is not making enough profit here.
testing a concept is true but its not related to releasing it in the US. the fact the phone is priced higher than its predecessor suggest Sony is confident with its offering to the market
There are a few mistakes here. First of all, it is pronounced "1 Mark 6", not 1 6. Secondly, it is the 3rd generation to feature to feature a 5000 mah battery (the previous 1 V and the 1 IV also had the same battery capacity). It also does have an official IP 65/68 rating, so it is certified to be waterproof for a depth of 1.5 meters and a duration of 30 minutes.
They still have a IP65 IP68 rating. It's listed on the spec sheet. 1.5 mt in tap water for 30min as long as all ports are closed. Not recommended in sea/salt water or carbonated drinks.
another video talking about... nothing, the truth is that Sony Xperia 1vi has a problem with recording videos in artificial light, colors, sharpness, white balance are completely incorrect. Some people record videos and take photos in sunlight, but this is where the phone shines. but for more ambitious people who record their materials indoors, where we cannot manually set the white balance before recording the video, this phone is a useless tool. We are waiting for the software to improve
@@NetvoTV still Xperia 1VI, sound quality, especially from the 3.5 mm headphone jack, is the best in its class. Sony is going to make changes to the software during video recording, so I'm waiting patiently.
@@wkunique I see, that 2X macro is so convenient to have because you can take these macro shoot with a waterproof device, if you shoot 2X macro with a camera then you need to spend on specialised lens and can't get to wet place easily and have to bring it along too, I plan to get a Nikon Zf with 28-400mm f4-8 lens one day and use Xperia 1 VI for closer and everyday shots plus that macro, but then macro doesn't have much variation like street photography, if I want to shoot macro for education purpose then I can just google it, I prefer iOS hence I not sure if I still want to get Xperia 1 VI or just wait for iPhone 16 / 16 Pro or the currently discounted iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone default color don't looks nice hence I can't easily take natural looking picture video directly like Xperia 1 VI, but I can't afford any of them now, I need a hard drive to help me have space to work on my project to help me get back on track in life, do you have any freelance works to offer me so I can afford a hard drive soon? :-)
I wouldn't be so hard with it. I tested this device the last 2 weeks because I want to leave iPhone behind and I would put it a bit different. You are certainly right in terms of manual controls for video at this point of time. On the other hand, what you said about colors, sharpness and WB, it performs a lot better than my iPhone 14+. I especially like S-Cinetone. It is very pleasing to look at, colours are really accurate and the image doesn't fall apart due to all the overprocessing. iPhone tends to add such amounts of contrast that it affects colours and makes everything just wrong and fake. S-Cinetone is maybe a touch softer than you might ant it to be, but it leaves the decision how you want it in your hands. You can add sharpness etc. in post, whereas you cannot get rid of the iPhone style in post. Using Xperia feels more like using optics, while iPhone feels like some AI is correcting your lens all the time. I wouldn't call it perfect in any way, but coming from a dedicated camera (A7R III), it doesn't feel so limited as iPhone does, especially for video.
@@fotosvond_ I see, do you use a Mac? Do AirDrop and some garden feature matter? I do use cable when import media, but then I spent some money on apps and games before on App Store already, and I want to learn to make music, there is GarageBand, I not sure there is much quality apps on Play Store. Can I reduce sharpness on Xperia because some pictures I seen still has a bit more sharp than it should be. But I want to be a app and game developer too and in the end, I think I will get both android and iPhone too just which one first
I am a diehard fan of Sony Xperia I am having some issues in the Xperia line up. My Sony Xperia 5ii have green lines in display, no physical damage I don't know why? So I changed to Sony Xperia 1 iii. After 2 years top speaker is having some issues, having buzzing noises. I don't know I am the only person facing these problems.
Im sure your not alone, but personaly i never had these issues, the green line seems like a display issues, since my dad had it on iphone, but i think you unfortunately got factory defect once 😮💨
Sony just made a mess with the Pro aspect of Videography pro and photography pro by combining them into a single app. It's a cluttered mess not to mention there is no cinema pro app. Hopefully they fix it and realize that was a huge mistake
What is this? A video reviewing the phone after a month of daily usage or an intro of the phone's features? Give me back my 10 minutes.

The only hard truth this video shows is that this guy doesn't have any review units and slap 300 other videos from different sites claiming "review".

Sony does not support the phone in the usa

Misleading title, AI narrated phone lobby and presentation. Where's "the hard truth"¿
It is not done by AI
I'm now using Realme 12x 5g, should I switch to Sony Xperia 1 vi ?
Is this Ai written review voiced by AI ? Dead internet theory seems real lol
For camera, xiaomi ultra is the one
How can it compete with Samsung and the Iphone if it is not offered in the US and China.
Lol it's in China bro
Thanks, I guess it sucks to be in the states if you wanted the latest Xperia phone.
There are more countries in the world than USA bro.
Order it online. It's ridiculously expensive right now though for a phone that only gets 3 years of updates.
