Joel is right 100% clubs are all paying players based on position ,why because they deem certain positions as being more influential to a outcome then other positions ,this is a general rule of thumb that should be applied generally on a case by case basis . But because clubs and managers just accept this everyone seems to follow this rule of how much to pay players.A smarter way to do it for clubs struggling would be to gauge a player based on hes influence on a game without looking at position . if say a To"o has a big influence on a game for a club like say tigers then its an opportunity for them to pay more then what say Penrith pay and get a influential player ,looking outside the box and looking at players who have influence on a outcome rather then just position could be what sides like tigers could do to get some players . You have to have recruitment guys though who have the eye to spot a player worth paying overs for .most sadly lack this vision .One winger i remember for EELS few year back Semi Rodraga ,had massive influence on game but was on winger money ,he left went to rugby ,they were paying Corey Norman 800k and Semi like half that ,enough said

wooho $850,000? thats at least 3 chances becoming champions haha ... averages a try a game, twice if %80 of the time he carries the ball,, formidable def, minimum injuries a season etc etc.. now how many seasons do you want the player for. there are skill recommendations for the positions maybe.. idk 🤧.. if anything im. sure the sharks could do with some help next season 🤭..
A lot of the younger eel fans are angry a lot of the season veterans my 52nd season don't give a rats blaze needs to go back to reserve grade we can not play him in first grade blood someone else if the nrl allows the agents to parade him around like that it is semi professional
