See, there were these two guys in a lunatic asylum... and one night, one night they decide they don't like living in an asylum any more. They decide they're going to escape! So, like, they get up onto the roof and there, just across this narrow gap, they see the rooftops of the town, stretching away in the moonlight... stretching away to freedom. Now, the first guy, he jumps right across with no problem. But his friend, his friend daren't make the leap. Y'see... y'see, he's afraid of falling. So then, the first guy has an idea... He says 'Hey! I have my flashlight with me! I'll shine it across the gap between the buildings. You can walk along the beam and join me!' B-but the second guy just shakes his head. He suh-says... he says 'What do you think I am? Crazy? You'd turn it off when I was half way across!
I love the reference to this in asylum in the room in the final boss in early parts of arkham east (i believe) where the joker has a tv on his head saying "how about a joke, there aee two guys in a lunitic asylum.. oh heck you already heard this one before" a reference to the movie, killing joke at the end where joker tells him the joke and ends with them laughing
Ok, I know I'm a bit late, but I was looking for all four versions of this music coming from Harley's intercoms in the steel mill. If I remember correctly, as the story progresses, the song becomes more and more deranged, to the point that by the final act of the story, it plays in reverse. There used to be a video that played all four versions, this one included (which is the first one) but apparently it has been removed. I was wondering if it is possible to find it again somehow, or if the only way to do it is either play the game all over again or extract the file from a pc version of the game. I know it's odd and something extremley niche, but judging by some comments I see I'm not the only one that was looking for this track 😅 it just stuck with me because it is the only Batman related content that really creeped me out for some reason
Hey, I think I'm going to try to check the different types of audio by playing Arkham City again. Would you know which are the moments in the story where the theme changes?
I think they also use this song during one of Professor Pyg's audio tapes in Arkham Knight, where he's advertising the Circus Of Strange.
I can imagine going up to those creepy Harley Quinn bobblehead intercoms to hear her scold or crying in the Steel Mill.
Yeah and sometimes it's creepy to me...just sometimes.
Nah, those things are funny asf 🤣
I did feel pretty bad for Harley when joker died, he was literally all she cared about

Oh my god the nostalgia, This song just reminds me of the Joker’s calls for some reason lol.
This is funny because that’s exactly what it was from
"I'm sorry Bozo, but i can't come to the phone right now..."
This music is fitting for the carnival scenes from batman: the killing joke when joker has gordon enslaved
Just realized it is from the "sobre las olas/Over the waves" waltz haha
Sounds very similar
But with more twisted spin on it, fitting to the world of Arkham games
I came here to write the same. 🤣 I just listened to the waltz for the first time and was like damn, i know this piece.
always wanted to hear a clear version of this, always creeped me out
thank you....
Mate ur welcome
Beautiful beautiful
💚💜💚💜💚💜💚
Edit: this is now been my new ring tone for over a year
That’s fucking legendary 🔥🔥🔥
10 hour loop of this music and you’ll go insane literally to the point where you’ll be tossed into Arkham Asylum
RIP joker

Fun fact I’m reading all of these comments while playing the game standing infront of the bobble heads
Nice to see you’re still active, where did you get this theme from? did you extract it from the in-game files or something? It’s weirdly addictive idk
Jonkler's theme
Thanks for this
Your welcome bro 🙏
That’s actually from The Harley Quinn Intercoms
Same shit different toilet
Hello??? Is this thing on????
Can you do a 10 hour version?
I don’t even know how to do that sorry
You can put it on loop

I've forgotten, from what part or location of the game was this music
Harley quinn bubble heads
