Edward Furlong (The Terminator, American History X) joins us this week to share his journey with addiction and the rock-bottom he hit that allowed him to get clean and re-discover the joys of a sober life. Edward shares fond memories with cast and crew while filming The Terminator franchise - all the while, acknowledging how he took it for granted in his youth.
We also talked about going from teenage heartthrob to parent of a teenager, breaking the chain of generational trauma, and what Edward still wants to prove to himself.

I’m glad Edward is still with us. If he’s ready to get back into the industry, I hope he gets what he wants. The guy has talent.

I'm gonna be honest with People...
Edward Ferlong was one of the biggest things to hit Hollywood with Terminator 2...
-- Most of his best Movies were in that same Time Period...
      T2, History X, & Pet Semetary 2...
He's Sober now, but he's nowhere near in shape for movies like this again at all...
-- You can see it in his Voice
-- You can see it in his clothing
-- You can see it in his hair
-- You can see it in his face & Stomach
That Ferlong still looks, feels, & comes off as he's messed up,
that Body Language, just does not picture me as someone
who is a Star Performer, instead it reminds me of Charlie Sheen
with Two & A Half Men, The TV Show, & Charlie's Performance
On that came after with Mad Families...
Ferlong may be Sober, but he's nowhere near in Shape for Movies...
-- I think he can get there, but he needs to recognize this...
He said in this Interview that he wants to try a Movie??
We will see if this Movie is actually worth seeing or not,
& if he really does, & is really ready for it, or not...
But I Agree, that i'm really glad Ferlong is still with us,
& he didn't drag down like some People had done,
such as Robin Williams, & such...
In all honesty, i'm not hateful, & entirely hating on the
idea that Ferlong never revisted the Terminator Franchise...
I always pictured the older John to be more like
the John from the 1st Movie, older stronger, & refined,
but ferlong was perfect as the John of T2, but in
terms of older John Movies, I just don't see him
fitting the rolls at all... If anything, I felt Ferlong's
chance at a Terminator Roll had to be in the 3rd Movie,
& even then it was Questionable as the way he was
of the Terminator 2 Movie, I think Ferlong's Peak
performance of Terminator 2, should of stayed there,
& I never really felt like it should of gone beyond that,
technically I want Terminator 4 to be done without
majority of the Famous Actors at all, to just have
the majority of it with Machines placing humans
into a more of a Fear State of living, & I would of
wanted Kyle Reese to be technically the big seller
of the Movie, for it to focus on him & his Team
in the Future as sorta Amatures growing stronger...
As for Terminator 5, I would of wanted to see
what happens after John dies, & is killed off,
how the Story actually comes to a close, &
above all, how it Ends, the James Cameron
      Original Ending...
The biggest issue I have with Ferlong going
back to Hollywood Movies, is that majority
of it has gotten Woke, & scummy Ideologies
pourn into the Industry Standard now, &
too many People don't want Newer Movies
anymore, I really would hate to see Ferlong
fall Victim of this same armosphere, especially
right after getting over, & becoming sober...
      What do People think??

If he's ever going to make anything close to a 'comeback' just being sober isn't enough. He'd have to drop a bunch of weight and look better. That's the way Hollywood is. Be honest, yeah he's sober, but he looks like crap.

Edward should reach out to Bobby Lee. He's creating a group for recovered/recovering celebrities. I think that would help with keeping sober and advice that is industry specific.

Eddie Furlong could be the comeback kid, and God, I hope he really gets his chance. I want him to have his Robert Downey, Jr. time to prove what he can do. If he's serious and can get that opportunity, we might see him in some great roles. Everyone deserves another chance. Hollywood, I'm looking at you.

Here's Performance Character CSI NY as Shane Casey Season 3 6, 7 I literally wanted the CSI NYPD team to get him especially how Set Sheldon Hawkes up (portrayed By Hill Harper) those episodes were relentless I wanted them to get em so bad Furlong is fantastic in a Villain role o know he's a good guy in real life though he should be on Cobra Kai as a Character?! That would be awesome him working with Macchio Zabbka that would be something Terry Silvers nephew 😂😂 God bless em Always the Original John Connor in my opinion! Would love a reunion with him Linda Hamilton! 👍🏽🙏🏽

I'm trying to imagine what role he might be good for and the only one that comes to mind is, "creepy uncle."
I wish Edward well. Hope he finds his feet again. But I doubt he'll ever be a leading man or get the big rolls. That said, some of the best actors are the journeyman actors who do a whole bunch of supporting and character work. You recognize them, but you don't know their names.

I feel so blessed to have gotten my first house in 2012 at 26. Great 1800 sq ft 3/4 acre lot house in the High Desert for only $105,000. My mortgage payments are only $575 a month.
The Plan-demic and the crashing economy has got Americans to the point where so many of them are future-tripping -- thanks for the new term, Ed -- about just where you're going to be living in a few months. Having a home and I mean YOUR OWN castle and your own car, those are things you miss so damn much if you lose them. It kind of shows though how weak our generations are. I always think of something Judge Judy once said to a litigant bitching about not having a car: "How did Abraham Lincoln get to school everyday???"
