This is something I've recently found out and that's the blade speed on the stihl hsa 86 has the same blade speed as most petrol hedge trimmers from stihl or other brands such as my favourite brand husqvarna, just some information If you didn't know, love the video, love the review, thanks!

Sweet job. When they start to get noisy put a few blobs of stihl grease in the gear box and try not to overtighten the screws cos they will crack the casing, spray with resin spray to, especially after conifers because they glue the blades together and the machine comes up with a fault and wont work. I find the handle slippery on it to and i hold on alot tighter than i should, so iv stuck tape on the handle and its helped me anyway 😁. Best thing i ever did was going battery enjoy.

That what you have, a hla65 and 2 hla85. Plus the fsa85 strimmer which is ace for regular maintenance, and the hand held battery blower, which is a bit on the weak side and only gets used on dry days, but it is the go to blower when its dry.. The hla65 is the most used hedge cutter.. 4 seasons in using them now and im more that happy. I had a few issues with them but nothing like my petrol kit

@@Premier_lawns_official alright Robbie, I have a fair bit of cordless stuff- a couple of HLA85's, which I highly recommend! The same trimmer as you, the kombi engine and blower. The blower is probably on par with handheld blowers or slightly better! I have an Ego mower for jobs with access issues but also use on slopes due to maneuverability etc. The mower folds up so sits permanently behind my wheel arch out the way! I use an Ego strimmer when needed- ideal for maintained lawns. Would recommend all- I rarely use petrol other than for mowers and scarifying etc. If you do a fair bit of hedging to complement your lawn care, I would definitely look at the telescopic 85!!!

I have the long reach stihl. unfortunately stihl made a mess of the hinge and it hangs below the cut line. Cant cut anything deeper than the blade.
Why doesn't the handle turn? Hedges have 4 sides and 1 top. It might have been better of making sideways only.

@@Jo-xg6rk That's interesting Jo, I have never owned a Husqvarna blower, however, I have owned Husqvarna chainsaws and Strimmers, I like their products. I live in East Anglia and around here it seems like literally, all the professionals have Stihl blowers. The reason I say this is because I work with quite a few tree surgeons. However, as Premier Lawns mentions, one of the most important things is that you have a good dealer backup nearby and it sounds like you have looked at the reviews, which is great.

So it depends on what you are going to be using it for. The sthil batteries are going to last longer as they are bigger, but not give you the same versatility. The battery in the milwaukee will fit in something like 180 (or more) different tools across many trades.
The sthil battery system is aimed at the one trade (horticulture) it's going to depend on what you are planning on doing...
