I'm from Belgium and you thought me something! I had no idea that the name was referring to "meadows". You're right though, it's from the French word "Pature" (the hamlet at the foot was apparently named Peerdeweede, meaning horse meadows). I always thought it was a reference to monks (which is also "Pater" in Dutch).

And I hope you did also the Koppenberg and the Oude Kwaremont while riding and filming this video? ;)

I am 105kg and went there for the third trip with my bike. I reached it in 2:53 but at the top I had a heart attack. 😅
