THE MOST DECISIVE CLIMB OF LIÈGE-BASTOGNE-LIÈGE
We are in the Belgian Ardenes to climb the last wall of Liège-Bastonge-Liège. Introduced in 2008, La Côte de la Roche-Aux-Foucons is the last obstacle of "The old Lady" and has become the launchpad for the winning move since it was introduced in the race.

The UNKNOWN TOURMALET of the PYRENEES - Climbing La Pierre-Saint-Martin
มุมมอง 8558 หลายเดือนก่อน
La Pierre-Saint-Martin is one off the sleeping beast of the Pyrenees. A climb as hard as the Tourmalet but quite forgotten due to its location and poor history in cycling. However, the only time the Tour de France climb this mountain the race blew out in a day Chris Froome smashed everybody in the steep slopes of La Pierre-Saint-Martin.

HAWAII in winter!!
Can’t wait!
This is going to be a great tour! Thanks for breaking it down!
Hmmm, no Femmes. Bummer! Ada do a video!
Will they cover the TDFfaZ?
Man...this is one way of getting some PR's on your training ride! Vive le Tour!!!
Let's go!
yeahhhhhh!
Congratulatons a fantastic video! thank you very much for the information and advice! Happy riding, I liked + subscribed.....buut I'm still not sure which one to choose for this December for my first cycling ever holiday!!😂😂
Great presentation. Passo for next Dolomites visit.
Thanks for clearing up the history of this climb. Even "cycling god" Eddy Merckx in his prime would not have it made it up with his preferred 42x21 smallest gear. Bet even today's "cycling god" Tadej Pogačar would not try it with anything bigger than 39x25.
This is a great climb done it 8 times now.
If you want lots of switchbacks in Mallorca do both sides of Sóller, and if you want scary ones do Port de Valdemossa. Craziest ones i know in the Alps is Passo dello Spulga (51 in total)
I did the climb on Friday, coming from Can Picafort, stop at the small cafe sa ruta verda (which I can recommend!) in Caimari. After the descent to Sa Calobra (amazin view!) I wasnt sure if it is a good idea, because I didnt know if i am gonna make it. Anyway after a break I start the climb and I did it. After that I moved on to Puig Major heading to Soller as final destination for that day. I am not a very experience cyclist, but with a little bit training I was able to do it and I enjoyed so much the landscape.
Stelvio is immense, i did it summer 2023 during bikepacking. And if Stelvio is the king of climbs, then Passo dello Spulga is the Queen; 30km and 51 switchbacks
Personally id say the first half is one of the best cycling descents in the world, but overall i dont think the climb is the best in Mallorca, for me both sides of Sóller, Sa Batalla, Sa Creu, and Puig Major are more enjoyable climbs
I am planning this coll on a tour next year so i am glad to hear it is so worthwhile, tha ks for the preview! My previous experience of border summits is the Timmelsjock/Rombo for austria/italy, and the Splugen/Spulga for italy/Switzerland. Also if you come to the netherlands you can see three borders at the Drielandenpunt, and the crazy borders in the town of Baarle-Nassau
The road to mount Gamonal (Angliru is the place of the parking) has been used and keeps being used by shepherds and cows to reach the high pastures in the summer. The road was paved already when la Vuelta discovered the climb however not maintained by many years and indeed looked like a gravel road. Please don't say is just for la Vuelta because is not it was designed for herd as many many other roads in Asturias. La Vega de Bobies (mount Mostayal) is another example of the same type or road and is just 4km away from Angliru.
Hello! Thank you for this highlight clip of the Gavia, loved it! Is it possible to use some of the drone footages in a movie I'm making now? I earn no money with it and I'd mention you in the acknowledgements, of course. Thanks for your answer 🙂 Bence
Just a correction...the Stelvio was technically built by the Austrian, but practically they forced italians to build it...and it was done in 100 days if I'm not wrong!
Bravissimo grazie rivivo le dolomiti
We did passo Gavia last year on MTBs. Sadly I started filming this year so I only have some pictures from it.... I have to come back one day with my go pro. Will never forget that climb and how it felt at very top!
I like Sepp Kuss, it*s fantastic man and cyclist !!!
Con este pavo desaprendo inglés 😂
I’ve been on the Mur of Huy and managed to get on top, it really is a serious climb and in my opinion even tougher than the côte de la Redoute. But epic when on top. Videos like this is really helpful to know how to dose your power in the knowledge of what is in front of you. Also nice when the locals are encouraging you when cycling to the top. Thank you for making videos like this
So cool to see this along with the TdF history. My 2016 climb was with a friend who bonked. My 2018 climb was by myself and it was awesome and finished in St. Lary in rain.
I’ve noticed very heavily in the past few years that almost all the cyclists have taken on saying “Yeah”, ALOT, over and over. Where did this habit come from? The interviews and sometimes funny because “yeah” just doesn’t fit within the responses.
Grischa passed to Jonas and everyone on Visma talks like that now, even Matteo and Sepp, who are Americans and their filler words should be "like"... My theory
Ineos should sign him
I rode there from Isaba. Twice. So cool.
Attila is a big coffee snob :)
I adore Ant McCrossan! He brings so much life to the Tour!
That was fun to see behind the scenes.
Jonas listen to your advice and be more aggressive on Stage 15!! but it didn't end well with that tactic either!!
Great job. Except just say you’ve had a double already and pick tea. Way simpler.
demonte - col fauniera is the best
Such beauty
Oh Kay... now I want to book a tour for the 2025 TDF !!

How do I get access to the paddock ? Can I buy tickets or something like that ? Thanks for answering
Very nice interviews, subscribed!
Hi Marc, this is like the extended version of the video that you posted on the other channel 😂, 👍 great job!! Greetings from Bolivia
Great insight and perspective on the tour - thanks :-)
In 2 weeks I leave from Belgium to Murcia by bike and tent. And I have this col on my way to Spain. Luckily it seems I take the 'easy' side 😅. On street view I have seen signs that close the road in 1 direction during certain times. Is that correct?
very cool👍
I wish sooo so much that when I will be on top of Stelvio on July 22, the weather will be just as nice as it was for you here.
Great video! ❤
👏👏👏✌️😎
Thanks Marc, I have never seen a report from this point of view, great.
Marc does an amazing job!
