I lost my son twice. The first time was when a summer camp group left him in London at age eight and didn't find him until 2:00am. The second time was when the school bus let him off at the wrong stop at age six, and he didn't get home until 3 hours after the scheduled drop-off. My grief was so heavy that I could barely breathe. I cry for Mary every time I think of her seven sorrows. I think she should be named Patroness of Lost Children.
I love our Lady of Sorrows. As a little girl I had a picture of her but didn't know it because my mom was protestant. I thought it was a beautiful queen as the image was taken from the sorrowful mother of Seville spain. At the time I thought it was just a sad beautiful queen and wondered why is she so sad shes in a pretty dress. As a little girl I thought if your in a pretty dress you are happy so I thought something awful happened. I would cry with this picture and say 'dont worry queen I'm sad with you too'. Later I converted and I believe I owe that to Our Lady of Sorrows and since my conversion I pray the dolor rosary everyday.

Thank you so much for this Novena, this sorrow is also a Joy, the fifth joyful mystery, is a big contradiction, meditating about it I understood that God in his love allowed this pain to prepare Mary for the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus. Sometimes we doesn’t understand the reasons, but his always looking for something bigger! Sorry for my terrible English 😉 Greetings from Venezuela 🇻🇪
🙏🏻💙Thank you this is so beautiful- deep appreciation from UK💙🙏🏻 I am so grateful as I feel Our Lord is always with me despite experiencing a harrowing time at the moment but I definitely need to reach out more to Our Blessed Mother🌹🥀 God bless you always 🙏🏻 🕊x x
We love you guys!! Great words, we need to enter into the intimate relationship with Him and teach our children how to do that. It seems to be essential in the spiritual life. ❤🙏❤
The loss of the child Jesus and the seeming “loss” of Jesus in prayer life is a remarkable insight Ken. Our prayer life may appear “dry” not for a lack of faith but because of a lack of imagination. That is not a bad thing; it’s just a deeper form of prayer. God bless you.
@maryconnor432 0 seconds ago I have been following the 90 Days for the Souls in Purgatory with Fr. Thaddaeus from Divine Mercy. I didn’t realize until you described Our Blessed Mother’s loss of missing God...of course I thought of her great sorrow of losing her child; but the reality is- her child is God, and everyday she has been with him; so when you mentioned that feeling of not having Our Lord in our life; I understood this immense pain and then thought of the Holy souls in Purgatory; how they must grieve and have a sword piece their hearts until the day they can be with God in Heaven; and we must help them with our prayers. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us and for all the souls in purgatory🙏🙏🙏Amen
Doe-lers comes also from other Latin root language Spanish Dolor. Well that's how I've heard it anyway. You all do a great job ! Thanks be to God !!! 🙏

I love St. Alphonsus ligouri and that book I love the stories of examples of her help to us. The story of Beatrice was so touching.

Amen
Dolores, or dolor in Spanish for pain
I believe it is pronouned with a long "o" - such as "doe-lore." Accent on the first syllable. That is how I have heard it many times.
Yes… desolation not fun at all.
done!!! i love it
